Carpentry is a high value trade. At 25 you can have your own company, great income, and a completely sustainable future (housing is always needed). At the same age you will see graduates coming out of college with $100k debt and working insecure jobs in horrible cubicle conditions.

On the other hand, if you spend all or most of your time and energy on making more money, self improvement, etc., you SHOULD end up with more money and becoming a better person. As man who stumbled upon Samuels by the grace of the youtube algorithm gods, what I can definitely say is that his idea of what it means to be a high value man was a worthy goal to strive for. The mind set, resources, and appearance are all things I found appealing and I wanted that for myself. And when I began to start applying some of things he talked about into my own life I saw and felt a definite improvement in how I felt about myself and how others perceived me. But the key thing to keep in mind, is EVEN IF you fall short of that "high value" status, you will still be in a way better place than where you were before you started that journey. “The happiest people are the ones who know why they are doing what they are doing, and they like it.” This is very true. I was a career woman and was on track to get everything I worked for in that field, but I found myself at 27 asking why was I doing this, and got very uncomfortable when I couldn’t answer that question. When I figured out I wanted to be a mom more than anything, I confided in my husband about our “plan,” and said look this is what will make me happier. It turns out my husband was also question why he was grinding so much in his career, traveling 5 days a week and barely seeing me. He also needed more meaning out of it all. I’m now a stay at home mom to our 4 month old son. After the birth of our baby and needing to support us that gave my husband the kick he needed and he got promoted 8 weeks later. Now he has an even more high profile position and gets to be home with us every night. We are both much happier.

As a lifelong Muslim, I have to add that if the mother remarries before the child (boy or girl) turns 7 years old, the father automatically takes custody (unless he’s abusive, incarcerated, or engages in major sins). Islam respects lineage and recognizes that children are better raised by men who have a biological tie to them. Also, Islam teaches that the closet thing a child has to his/her father is the paternal grandfather and uncle.

These are men in that community. They are out here encouraging you to be big and telling you not to keep yourself up. Please tell them to stop this.
They will tell a black woman to gain weight but marry a woman from another culture because of her appearance. Make it make sense. Some truly dont understand the damage they're imposing on women. Some of those women stay overweight because they're convinced that being "thick" is what's required. Let's address the hypocrisy of those standards.

Best thing to do is just ignore those guys and concentrate on men who are actually going somewhere with their lives like the men Kevin describes. I haven't heard a man call a woman fat since my grandfather😂😂😂...and he was the epitome of being a strong black man leading his family. Too many men are having there masculinity crushed instead of cultivated and bridled. Too many women are taking on the role of men out of necessity and we are losing. When I got married I looked high and low for what 'respect' meant to a man. Very few people would speak on it as if was oppressive to women. I had a definition of respect but it wasn't working for my husband bc it was the wrong definition and most of the married women I looked to had no idea themselves. I had to look back to the things my grandmother said to me that I thought was outdated. We need more of this not just through youtube but directly in the home. $158k a year leaves you a bit of breathing room in a city like DC/N. VA, San Francisco, Honolulu, Hawaii, but the same career, careers for a joint earned household, that pays 6 figures in those cities will pay less in cities like Memphis, Gulf Port, Oklahoma City.

Rx - Pert Thats just the women who aren’t used to be told the raw and uncut truth. I find, whenever I debate any woman regarding relationships they never argue with cognitive logic. They argue with their emotions on their sleeves. They never attack the main points you make, neither can they call your statements untrue. They just shame and attack you and hope to get you to stop saying it.

Wow,Kevin dropped gold. One nugget of gold was him stating the fact that women want to be independent and men are now used to just hooking up and now we have people living alone and paying more living expenses. When instead, a couple could share living space and are stronger together, just like tax breaks for married couples. 2020 to 2030 is gonna be a very interesting decade.

Your comment is absolutely unacceptable and your advice was certainly not warranted in that manner. Sir taking your frustrations out on innocent bystanders online looking to better themselves is not very alpha, it shows lack of class which I think is the opposite of the alpha male you may be trying to portray.

@@gabntumba2434 The truth hurts sure, but there is no need to talk to someone like that who didn't ask for your advice. That's my point. Truth doesn't involve swearing at a stranger who has already identified their weakness. That is bullying, she didn't ask for your list on what a high value man wants - you are a total stranger on youtube with no credentials to back up why you feel you are in position to speak down to someone like that. Your comment was totally uncalled for.
I'm in a very happy hypergamous relationship myself. So you can miss me with that ridiculous comment on men not wanting to commit to me. I'm all for submission however, no woman wants to submit to a bully in your case which is why you are probably single and in no position to be giving relationship advice anyway. That is my assumption from the way you jumped down that lady's throat like a hungry shark looking for prey. Your comment to me gives off a vibration of lack. Where is your submissive woman? Great interview, kevin is right, if you want to change your financial situation, you have to work, try things and fail. I wasnt struggling but i knew if i wanted a family i had to make more money. So i tried affiliate marketing, that didnt work, i tried my own business selling products, that didnt work, i tried youtube and that didnt work, but doing all of that work led me to connections and now I'm a certified information security analyst, I know a few programming languages and a SQL developer studying for my interview. Not going to stop here, my goal is to make 7 figures and I'm excited on the new connections and friends I will make a long the way. Kevin was one of my inspirations although i didnt like what he was saying at first, but we have to improve on ourself if we want the best outcomes in life and it takes work.

I think the biggest hurdle for so many young people today in relation to the discussion at 1:35:20 is that "the dream" we often have isn't something that is necessarily going to come true. Things aren't going to be perfect, so build a pragmatic skill set and work towards something that you believe worth playing the long game TODAY and not tomorrow. Was a hard pill for me to swallow for a long time. Still hurts sometimes, but reality needs to be seen as the cold and hard it is. Thanks for the content.

I can’t lie, when I first clicked into Kevin Samuels channel I was like I can’t stand this guy, but I kept listening because I realized it was the truth of men although I didn’t want to hear it. When I realized that Kevin really isn’t trying to be harmful but helpful, no matter how blunt and abrasive it may seem, that’s when I really started to be ok with him.
Something he said really made me sad when I saw the truth of it. He said something like, black men want to date black women, black women know black men like to see a woman who is in shape, it is like a slap in the face that we refuse to give him what he likes. A few weeks later I was in a grocery store and there were at least 6 fairly attractive black men, and though they were not ripped you can tell they work out. There were about 6 of us black women in the store in similar age ranges and nice looking in the face, but by the BMI we are all considered obese. It was like dang... we gotta do better... it is hard to hear but the truth is the truth.
