I was so impressed by this podcast, I shared it to my 20-year-old son and told him that if he listened to the entire interview and wrote a 300 word essay I would forgive his $300 debt that he has with me. Patrick’s wise words are more valuable than any amount of money. I pray that my son will take me up on it, and if he does and if I see a change in him I will be forever grateful to Patrick and hopefully one day he will be able to know that he made an impact on my son.

I decided to get out because I felt I accomplished everything I needed to do in there. My supervisor told me they “need” me in the military, as in my skill set. You know what I told him? “Nope, the world needs me more.”

22:32 Pat says “by 40 have a net worth of 100 million”. As you hear a laugh, the camera cuts back to PBD... stone face. Not kidding. Not even a little bit. I feel like the entire Roommates community leveled up at that moment. We all smiled and we all suddenly stopped. Reevaluated and adjusted our mindset. I appreciate this podcast because it triggers a new reality. My foot just pushed the gas pedal a little bit further. Some will role their eyes... others will put the pedal to the metal. You choose your journey. Thanks roommates.

I love this! I listened and i learned! The two big take aways that active listening allowed me to read between the lines: Disipline and being honest with ones self. Within all the gems this guy laid out, he could not have managed to get on his level and progressively get better without those two traits. I think this gave us all a boost of motivation, but having discipline and being honest with myself is how i think i can put this motivation into action without needing to hear this every day! Thanks for the content, the advice is priceless!

The most important thing he said was "If you feel that you've made it, you've lost the game already", fucking inspiring for me. I thought that I'd made it in my situation because I've done some cool and hard to do things, but that statement from that guy literally gave me shivers. Push on guys, there's always someone better than you, and IF you are a the top and you are careless someone is going to top you.

the closing message was great. when someone tells me im doing well i actually take it as a chirp and think theyre making fun of me and i have to work harder now. and then when i get negative reviews I just think theyre jealous and i work even harder. regardless of what people say, im going to work even harder. one of the things PBD said and i never forget it and I even quote it... "they cant stop you from working".
