Thanks so much. Im visiting out of state with my 11 week old lab, his eyes had been looking irritated and became very pus caked yesterday morning. Happy to report that flushing his eyes with walgreen’s eye wash (99.05% purified water) 5 times yesterday and crushing a vitamin a tablet into his food last night and this morning has had great and positive improvement in just one day! May be tricky to find vitamin A oil but I tasted the tablet powder and its virtually tasteless. This is a perfectly practical video for our case. Just what youtube is greatest for!
I'm 10 years late for this video but I wanted to say DON'T use the same gauze pad on the other eye. If there's an infection using the same pad for both eyes will cross contamite.
I used walgreens saline solution. I wasnt able to get a lot of drops in her eyes but the little i did get has helped. She does not sit well like the dog in this video lol
What can you do for a doxie that doesn't like anyone messin around with her teeth, eyes or nails. Me or the vet. She's older, grumpy, and won't tolerate much, then shows her teeth. I've seen white hairs and what looks like lint floating on both eyeballs. Vet said he didn't see it, although I'm not sure he tried very hard. He prescribed Ofloxacin for what he said was allergies(both her eyes are red, now losing her sight). But i'm lucky if she lets me do one eye. Thanks, Chris
Well my dog was diagnosed with "Chronic eye Dryness" he is an 11yr shitzu boy. His eye crust in and around his eyes in the morning. So i grabbed Saline Solution a cotton ball and soak it with saline solution and gently clean his out with it.. it gets all that crust out and off it.. $3 bottle but i buy the Twin pack .
I just use a clean paper towel. If you see what dogs stick their eyes into (such as bushes and lawn), a sterilized guaze is overkilled. Normal tissue or paper towel is fine.
Thanks I'd like to ask a question my dog travels with me but whenever I take her home to her momma - my daughter she runs away when she returns she has ticks that we removed and is skinny she has puss coming out of both eyes and there swollen and she also has been digging so much she is missing a nail
My dog has dry eye where he has ton of mucus in his eyes which make it cloudy. I already went to the vet but the vet and even my whole family can't hold our dog down for some rinsing and eye drops and when he sees the container of the eye rinse and eye drop he hid from us. Any help how to at least "restrain" him cause he bite us if we force him NOTE: We did not traumatize him in the process he just not like the feeling of liquid in his eyes
Because they want you to spent your dollars on what they sell which is more expensive than a bottle of saline add their consultation fee on top and they get their lunch moola 😄
