I assume the smell will go away over time. Overall, I love this cute little blender. The extra cups and lids are great too!

Do you know if the more matte finish mixers stain easily? They look like they might be less wipeable than the gloss finish?
Ellen, I haven't heard of any issues with staining on the matte finish mixers. You are correct in that the gloss finish will wipe better though, but the matte finish should be easily cleanable too.

The Milkshake does have a matte finish, not a glossy finish like the others. I hope this helps!
Is the milkshake color a matte finish? I love the color but I heard matte scratches easily.
Jessica, the milkshake color does have a more matte finish compared to the standard gloss finish, but it is less of a matte finish than KitchenAid's mixers that are named "matte" (like white matte). I asked one of our employees here at Everything Kitchens who owns the milkshake color and he said it has been free of scratches even after banging the metal bowl on it accidentally while taking the bowl off the mixer. Hey there! I ordered the matte white and noticed that the cable was black. Is that true for all matte mixers? I love that the traditional one has a white cable!! That’s really too bad. Second question, is the matte colour brighter whiter than the traditional gloss one? Thank you so much!!!
Annabelle, there are only a few mixers that have a white cord (a handful of the white mixers), most do have a black cord. The traditional White will be whiter than the Matte White mixer. I hope this helps!
I honestly prefer the white cable. I don’t know why they choose the black ones ... makes the whole machine look outdated for the lighter coloured machines.
Do you know if the traditional white goes best with the hobnail bowl that you can buy for it?
Do you know I’d a 4.5 mixer could use the hobnail bowl that is a 5?

Ashley Hirst, the white looks slightly more whiter because of the glossy finish - both are beautiful mixers and would fit into a kitchen that could be complimented by a white mixer.

Is the “white on white” same color white as “white”? The base color (I know the trim is different. And is it high gloss?
@susana rylander yes! Both mixers have the traditional, white, high-gloss finish. The white on white has specialty colored accents.

Mona Lewis, unfortunately at this time we don't have the Fresh Linen color. It looks like Linen could be a color that is out of production but could come back in the future.

Do you have a comparison of Porcelain vs Milkshake?
My daughter loved the milkshake color mixer on the website and in this review, She put it on her registry and received it from her Aunts... it looks NOTHING like the milkshake in this video. I wish I could upload a picture to show you. it is beautiful but it is NOT white at all. It is a matte taupe color. Beautiful but absolutely not even close to white.
