2:38 it's easy to see the difference between the front and back of the boxes. The backs are a few inches thick while the front is just the thin doors. Edit: 5:02 is even better.
One can tell assistant was always in the bottom box. When they move boxes around they look empty. It would take extra effort to move the bottom box, and it would show.
Notice the magician doesn't show you the blade with the secret slit and quickly removes it. The rest he exposes both sides 😉. Try this with a fat assistant 😁!
Yup the other two, he knocks on to show how solid they are and he turns them vertically to the audience. The other one he doesn't knock on and it is always carefully kept horizontal.
There are a couple of bigger assistants and i notice they never do the tight spaces tricks. The one blonde that does the stretched assistant trick, I've not seen her as the primary assistant in any other tricks and the same with the assistant who is in the twisted assistant trick. The second one seems older in addition to not being as small.
That is a great trick, and one very flexible assistant!
