The first 10 seconds I was worried it was was going to be pop auto tuned but luckily it settled into more familiar sound, glad there was a guitar solo aswell.
So I'm in the bath listening to Planet Rock when this comes on. Thought I'd check out what you guys have got on RUclips. I put this track on as my daughter comes in from school. She is 12, autistic and finding her musical feet on her own for the first time. We let her listen to what she wants and make her own decisions on music because her path is her's and not mine to leed. She hears this and straight away she informs me that Stone Broken have been added to her playlists. Got yourself a new fan for life there guys! 🤘😈🤘
As a fan from the very very early days of SB, seen them play to like 10 people way back in 2013, this is definitely the next safe step to take and what I feared Stone Broken would take. I had hoped for a much heavier or even different sound that would challenge the band to be creative differently. The band have the talent to be more than just another "hard rock band" which they are in danger of becoming if they continue to just take safe steps and not challenge thenselves musically and what it means to be a stone broken fan. We are almost 3 albums, and almost a decade old when will we see Stone Broken show us their true musical prowress, or are they destined to just be "another hard rock band" that sounds like every other hard rock band.
As a fan of SB way back in the early days of SB I have to say after a third listen of the album the verdict is clear. This album is a revelation just not In a positive sense, in interviews SB talked about daring to try something different, but it doesn't sound any different to your previous offerings. The album is the next safe step for SB to take they made yet another generic by the numbers hard rock album and now sound like every other hard rock band. It's a shame because I remember when they started writing the album I spoke to both robin and rich in the Giffard and said "hey guys, I am hopeful that you will start producing a different album, because being honest with you if you keep on this radio friendly hard rock vibe you are in danger of sounding like every other hard rock band and you start blurring in with the noise" rich assured me it was different. I genuinely hope that SB won't delete this post as it is a genuine critique of the album it's safe,it's generic by the numbers hard rock and for a band who celebrates 10 years next year I expected more.
ok im sorry i love stone broken one of the best bands ive herd since the 80s, but this starts out very poppy with fake drums and bass.WHY!!!! the first 2 albums were ground breaking. on that note i need to hear the whole record
Being Nickleback is the worst but a poor mans Nickleback... lol Everything about this band screams of old crusty mothers in nickleback shirts at the local mosher bar drinking their rubbish lives away.
