When teaching my son to ride his bicycle there was 1 pole on the playground.... he went straight into it... 😂 When teaching my grandson to ride his bicycle there was 1 tree in the field, he went straight into it 😂😂 There must be a physics principle to describe this phenomenon. ie (if an object is cared for or valued in any amount it will always seek the path of most destruction). I for 1 am surprised that you didn't hit both poles.... 😂😅👏👏 I should have instructed them both to try really hard to hit the pole.

The extreme low temperatures will cause the battery to go down much faster than expected. And then when you check the voltage it will show a higher voltage than when its under load in the cold. I fly in the cold a lot and figured this out. What is with these dancing wing planes, they seem to require more fiddling than Dynams, lol

C of g too far back . When in the steep turns the tail is much lower than the nose. What a lovely country you have! Cant wait for the next flight. As the actress said to the bishop, keep it up lads.
The very least you can say is that it is a very pretty little TigerMoth. Great attempt Captain Robert and Blaz. It did fly for a minute or so. I hope to see you fix and fly it again.

That little model needs a lot of rudder to fly correctly. The adverse yaw from just the ailerons will make you think something is not right. Use less ailerons and more rudder in the turns. Start the turn with rudder, then add ailerons. You will see a big difference. Check your throws as well. Seems you have excessive elevator throw Robert. Awesome little Tiggie!!!! I wish they had a kit of this, not the arf!

What a great looking little Moth. It reminds me of the yellow Dynam Tiger Moth you reviewed a long time ago; that was a superior little foam biplane! I expect this one will also fly beautifully once it's repaired, the thrust angle is corrected and you find the proper G Spot.
As always, the FUN you two have with RC airplanes is infectious and keeps me coming back to this channel.

From the video I would say that if the CG can be as it was after repair, then a small amount of extra downthrust is all this will need. The squashing together of all the electronics clearly is suspect. 🤔A lovely little Tiger Moth, well worth saving. Big salute from London.

CG on a Tiger Moth should be where the rear of the cabane (the N shaped struts) bolts to the upper wing, i.e. at the back of the upper wing fuel tank. Bad luck, I look forward to seeing it fly again soon once you have repaired it. If CG is indeed correct than maybe some down thrust needed.

Sorry to see the ending - its a nice looking model - and looked great when it was behaving itself. Those cg stickers do look far back. I have the E flite grasshopper and these tiny light models have very little penetration.
I cannot agree more ... 'it looks perfect in the air' .. and made from wood it has this real plane vibe to it .. having said that when Graham dropped the burning cigar in his lap and consequently wrapped his Moth around the pole (no pun intented) . my feeling was quite different as to a foam version 😓🔔

The Tigermoth has so much wing that it will have no choice but to lift the front, easy to diagnose as being tail heavy, until you drop the throttle. It has serious ballooning when throttle is applied, forcing it close to stall in level flight. This in turn makes you use a lot of rudder in the turns to keep it from tip stalling. I think you are right, first thing to do is add down thrust to the motor, a couple washers in the x mount and it should be good. More nose weight will help it stay out of the stall in the turns as well. Other then that it is a beautiful little bird. Cheers to you both, and Happy Holidays gents 👍
You had trimmed in lots of down because it was tail heavy. When you lost power the down trim took over. Change the thrust line of the motor and put lead in the nose.............
Try to get the airplanes a little nose heavy for maiden flights. That might help
Maybe it was too cold for the battery? They can’t deliver the power when they are cold, the voltage just drops when you use the throttle, and then it jumps back when you turn it off. Perhaps that’s why you reached the battery cutoff limit so quickly.
3 months ago i did a ton of lipo battery temperature lookings.
Basically Normal temps are 32 degrees (LOWEST!) Up to 80. ANY temps below 32 degrees, you lose 15-20% of the battery, every day it sits. (Like precharging the day or 2 b4). When in the plane, it goes to 25%!
ALWAYS check your packs b4 getting it in the air! Even the smart packs are the SAME way. Ive used chinese packs too. Spektrum packs are on the lower end, but nothing escapes the cold! 👍

At least you got it in the air. It look really nice flying round your new field. Im not half wondering of the power to weight ratio and the smaller size of those birds, the moth and bobber might be too small? Dunno. Thats a shame it crunched, but as you say "Maiden flight or crash who knows?" I think its fixable also.
You should have listened to Captain Blaz and let him remove the poles LOL I think this road is too Rocky for the small planes my opinion
I recently acquired a very old 9ft tiger moth kit that takes a 50cc gas engine. I'll be terrified to fly it because my flight will probably have the sane ending
I was so excited to see the maiden flight of this plane. It is a very pretty model, unfortunately it didn’t fly very well. I believe the assembly was according to the instructions, the fault is in the design. Balsa may fly better than foam, but foam is easier to repair.
Looks like off-throttle the plane wants to go up.

Ouch. Everything plastic shatters in our cold. Fix fix fix....
Captain Blaz, please, did you glue the wings together, or you just tucked them on the tubes? Are the struts and threads sufficient to hold the wings without gluing?
Note: In the datasheet there is nothing mentioned about wings gluing, but I decided to glue them to the fuselage, because after the first landing the wings came loose about ten mm. I used the hot glue outside only, to be able to disassembly them in the future.
Bwoahhh that’s a shame. It’s really good looking but DWH needs to give a hint to the motor angle as like this…..it’s not flyable for most people who are not so skilled as you guys. But it is a pretty plane even the broken cowling is still sexi.
Now I’m curious how the flight with that crazy twin 50mm Messerschmidt has been, on the first attempt I kept it flying but it was crazy horse. On the landing it tipped over to one side with a little damage but nothing bad. It’s a tough cookie and better have a little space for some speed on landing.
