I used to watch this at 11, and I'm now 18. It brings me great memories, so ocasionally I come back to this video. Now that I understand what the lyrics are trying to convey and while I do get they're some kind of sad, I can't help but smile and remember the good times I had when I was younger.
The way I learned was one hand makes an L with my pointer finger and thumb, and that's left, and the other one doesn't with those fingers so that's right.

I absolutly love this. half because it is yume nikki and i love rpg maker games and half because its just truly magnificent. But I have one complaint. they have vocaloid songs for mary, madotski, aya( If you search it up, luka sings old doll) but never one for little Ib herself, wich in my oppinion, deserves one! (SEVER SPOILERS) she has one of the saddest parts in that game. My friend and I may have looked too far into the game or chaerictor but, it feels like somthing happend to Ib in her past, just by her personality itself. My friend thinks Ib may be abused, the fact being that Ib is so quiet and obaying to anyone she meets. Also, in the begining of the game, her mother is very VERY strict with her. Ib is a child, right? the youngest of all the rpg girls. only nine years old. and when Ib walks by the desk in the art gallery, her mother immediatly snapps, "IB! you know better! GET AWAY FROam THERE!"( somthing like that, i dont remeber the entier conversation.) but still, Ib is only nine. your daughter of that age won't know that much. Also, their are words Ib dosnt know, that a child her age should know! Rot. Ib dose not know that word. Dhe really should. I should know, I have a little sister younger than that and she knows that word. My friend also thinks the art in the art gallery may represent that. the hands reaching out of the wall seem to give you wounds. the painting 'well meaning ???' has a woman yelling at a child. the ladies in (insert color here) that chase and hut you that look oddly like her mother! and in the true ending, Ib can't tell between a fake and her real mother, yet, she runs away with Garry? Why dose she trust him, a random stranger, more than her own mother?! Further on, Ib is still quiet misrible and never really talks unless asked a quetion during the game. as if she is afraid to. In the bonus gallery, (you get in the second play throu of the game) Ib is mentioned by Garry to be quiet tiny for her age, weight and height. As if her parents are starving her. Anyway, If you see or make a song dedicated to Ib and Ib only let me know ( a song actually made just for her, not a parody, and sang by vocaloid/ utau, please.) Please comment and tell me your thoughts aswell.
While I'm all for theory making, I do think we need to remember that Ib is a translated game. The whole 'Ib not knowing a simple word like rot' could easily be because in Japanese it was written in a way she didn't know... As for her mom being strict... some parents are like that while being good parents. I didn't see it as harsh, just as a mother reminding her daughter not to get in trouble.
Oh, and something I forgot to mention on the mother front. You have to remember: trusting the mom is entirely optional. So in a sense, Ib decided to trust Garry more than her own mother simply for the same reason the player did. The gallery is shown to twist a mind and cause hallucinations and we are given that information throughout the game. In the ending where Ib decides to leave with Garry, it's possible that Ib realizes, 'Hey, that can't be my mother. It's just a hallucination.", while the ending where she stays with the hallucination could be her desire to just be home clouding any reason she had. Also, you really, really can't throw Garry under the title of 'complete stranger'. The gallery is a traumatic experience and Ib is a NINE YEAR OLD CHILD(also explains why she's so quite. I happen to have a friend whose reaction to fear is to clam up and not talk to anyone and this girl is at least 6 years Ib's senior.The very same could be for Ib. Honestly, it surprised me that she's capable of holding a conversation at all). Garry was the older brother figure who was there for her and helped her in this terrifying world that threatened to kill her after every turn. Garry is no 'complete stranger', he's the stable thing she could cling to in a world that defied the world of logic. By the end of the game, Garry and Ib have a bond, one created by the simple fact that they survived together. Of course she'd trust him. He's become the only thing she could trust.
[ 1st ]that mens that when you die at the end of this game, thats how chara was made, now i know where chara is from, because if she says "where are the knifes?" ( one part in the genoside run version of - Undertale ) LOL, toby fox lied you all ( now, im just saying ok??? ) And' [ 2nd ] when you kill all the monsters in the 1st part, thats why "chara" kills monsters now! O_O 3rd, you welcome'ed so undertale X yume nikki is the same thing then!?!?
Undertale and Yume Nikki have nothing to do with each other, literally nothing, and this song is not about the creation of Chara or whatever their name is. Yume Nikki inspired Undertale, not the other way around
It is a rpg game like ib or mad father only with a lot of space to roam around in, and you have to collect certain things. It really is cool, so I'd suggest looking up a play through of the game to watch it, or just play yourself. Everything in it is left up to interpretation, so yeah. That's my take on what it is :3
