I have this car for a month now and I really love it. The interior feels very luxury. Those wheels looks amazing. The head light and turn light are very bright. With the automatic high beam no issue at all. Drives so smoothly. I definitely love the big screen! The apple gps just look amazing. And this car has Alexa.

The larger touchscreen is absolutely incredible. It looks more modern and clean and just gives the interior a little bit of an evolutionary design while also keeping it subtle and not overwhelming. Digital gauges would be nice but in this class of vehicle and price I wouldn’t expect anything more or less.

Just bought the SR one week ago. Thought I would be bummed about no fog lights but the LED headlights are super bright so I couldn’t care less. The front end looks great, gives a higher end feel. The 19” wheels look nice and ride nice. I got the Grey Sky Pearl which looks amazing! Blue, grey, white all depending on the lighting. The duel exhaust and rear diffuser underneath gives a nice sporty look. When you upgrade from a 2007 Altima to this SR trim, it’s a HUGE upgrade…

Rented a 21 the other day and was very pleased with the drive. Massive improvements over past gens. Felt like a wide track and handled better than expected and the torque off the line was enough to easily break tires loose which has never been the case in any cvt base i4 before. So yes, for a commuter, leaps and bounds over past gens and the turbo one would be a hoot for sure. Too bad they don’t offer that with awd yet, right? With so many brands dropping their sedans for crossovers/SUVS, it’s nice to see Nissan still holding on to one of their most popular models. I’m loving the changes they have made to it. It definitely has a more aggressive and sporty look. Though this is 2023 we’re talking about and having fully incandescent taillights is kind of obsolete. Otherwise you can just switch them out for some aftermarket kind. Though imo I do prefer the K5 which ofc is made by Kia. It offers the style and the aggressiveness without being over the top. It also offers some nice premium features like a pano sunroof, a sport focused GT while combining the space and usability of the average compact crossover. And with America’s best warranty that for me alone is why I would choose the K5 over its competition. Don’t get me wrong this Altima is nice but it is missing some features that some of the competition has, and I do like the dual-clutch in the K5 or the 8 speed auto that’s in the Camry more than the sonatas CVT.

My first car was a 92 Maxima. I now drive a 2017 Maxima. I love it and I have a hard time understanding all the hate Maxima gets. I wish Nissan was not discontinuing it. If I had the money, I would sell my 17 and get the 23 to hold me over for the 5 or so years where Nissan is most likely taking the Maxima and converting it to an electric vehicle.

I'm renting one of these this week, and I've actually been really pleasantly surprised. With the Altima's reputation, I expected it to be a heap, but I really can't find much to complain about. The interior is simple and easy to use, there are physical controls for the stereo and climate, it's fast enough to get out of its own way, visibility is fantastic, comfort is adequate, gas mileage is great, and it's done everything I've asked of it with no complaints. I don't love the front end styling, the brakes are very touchy, and the seats could be a little more ergonomic, but in most respects, it's the perfect rental car. It gets you from A to B with as little fuss as possible.
I did notice a couple of weird little build quality issues. The inside door panels don't seem all that sturdy - if you hold the door in place and pull on the interior handle, the whole panel flexes noticeably. There is also a loose piece of sound-deadening foam sticking out at the bottom of the windshield on the inside, like it wasn't seated quite right when the windshield was installed. Finally, I have noticed some vague rattling noises in the dash when it goes over bad potholes - not a specific loose part, just general vibrations echoing through the plastic. But for a free Hertz upgrade, it's been about as good as I could ask for. I've had some bad rental cars in the past (looking at you, Chrysler 200), but this one is refreshingly unremarkable - it just works.

Seems to be a mixed bag for me in terms of the refresh. I like the new wheel design and interior changes however when it comes to the exterior this is where Nissan dropped the ball. The front looks worse why add fake vents on both sides where there used be a functional fog lamp. The chrome strips where the V motion grille doesn't help either. The taillights are outdated now they should have been LEDs too.
