Today we are checking into Tokyo Disneyland Resort’s brand new Toy Story Hotel. We’ll explore this fantastic Toy Story-themed hotel, which includes photo spots all over the grounds and a completely themed hotel room. We’ll eat dinner at Lotso Garden Cafe, an exclusive buffet restaurant with cute Toy Story food. Come with us on this adventure!
Please note: the $200 a night price in the title is based on a 28,000 yen price for a standard room in non peak weekday dates. As of the publishing of this video the conversion rate to USD would be $193.48. The dates we stayed at the hotel included a weekend and was during peak Halloween week and we paid about an average of 42,375 yen a night (about $287)

Now THIS is how you properly theme a property with an IP! It feels like every inch of this hotel was touched by a designer that understood Toy Story. Wow! This might be my favorite hotel/living space out of everything you've ever featured. Thank for taking us on this adventure!

I feel like sometimes Disney is afraid to go this far with theming at resorts, like they think adults want something subtle with just touches of Disney. I want over the top theming or immersion haha

The reality is we get subtle at normal hotels we stay in, when we go to Disney, we want Disney theming! That's the point, and they seemed to have missed that lately... We want all the Disney touches!@@OrdinaryAdventures

Yes, HOWEVER I also think it would be pretty hard to mess up the theme. We're all kids at one point, so channeling those memories into the flow and feel of a space is easier to tap into than say Star Wars, which we only have X amount of material to refer to. Not saying you're wrong, but just on a scale I'd rank this "hard to mess up".

That luggage shipping service isn't just at Disney, it's all over Japan, just ask at the front desk of pretty much any hotel. There is a charge (I'm assuming Disney didn't charge between their own hotels), but it is 100% worth it. And I'm pretty sure they're using some kind of magic, Floo-powder network, because your luggage is always just waiting there at your next hotel as soon as you arrive.

Yes, it's called a private company called Yamato Transport. They can even take your luggage to and/or from the airport. Look for the logo of a mama cat carrying her baby in her mouth.

    • @nish221100
      @nish221100 6 месяцев назад

@@dariusq8894 yes, the company’s nickname is “kuroneko yamato” (black cat yamato). Black cats are considered good luck in Japan. So their logo has a black mama cat carrying her kitty.

We've only stayed at the good neighbor hotels (twice at the Hilton & once at the Sheraton) & had awesome experiences at both! In regards to the weird or interesting buffet food, you have to remember that it's catered more to Japanese tastes. The western dishes are approximations of what they think westerners would like. Also, Asian cultures are big on textures as well as tastes, which explains the amount of things with corn or boba or jelly in drinks. Btw, i know you don't like seafood, but if there's anywhere to try it, do it in Japan! You might surprise yourself. 😁

Your entire Japan series is AMAZING. I eagerly await each episode. I will be a little sad when this not so ordinary adventure is over.
Regarding the Tokyo parks, the OLC and Imagineering hit it out of the park on everything they do. While Disneyland has a special place in my heart (So Cal kid), these parks look spectacular. First Class all around.

We've been having the best time watching your Japan videos!! We both eat vegan, so we've been trying to scope out what options we might have when we visit 🥰. I really appreciate you for sharing with so much detail (and beautifully edited too!)

The luggage transfer service on property is a nice perk! Works on Disney & the official hotels and my bags are usually there before me! I like to do a split stay between the Sheraton or Hilton and then one of the Disney hotels. I can use/earn points and use the club lounge with my status to save money. You can see Disneyland & DisneySea from the Sheraton lounge! Plus, the rooms tend to be bigger than many Japanese hotels.

I’m so glad you made it to Toy Story Hotel. Another Disney vlogger I watch (her home park is Disneyland Paris) managed to stay there for her Tokyo Disneyland stay. Tokyo Disneyland really is on another level. The Disney parks in America could learn a LOT from what Tokyo Disneyland is doing.
One little quibble, though: you didn’t show what makes the slippers at Toy Story Hotel so special (it’s on the bottom of one of the slippers). I’m so sad you missed showing that in this video! 😢

I can't wait to visit Tokyo Disney. It's the closest resort to my home. I still can't afford to travel yet, but hopefully that will happen one day soon.

I absolutely love your videos and it's so cool to get to see Tokyo Disneyland through your eyes as it'll be a long while before I get to go. BUT: I have never felt so British as when you called the kettle the 'hot water maker' 😧

Disney in Orlando and Anaheim could learn a thing or two about theming! Tokyo Disney has been spot on! Will probably be my favorite park when I go. Come on Orlando and Anaheim! Step up your game!

This hotel looks AMAZING; love how thorough your tour is! I will quibble with one thing... seafood absolutely DOES belong on pizza, and not just in Japan. For instance, if you ever find yourself in the vicinity of New Haven, CT, get yourself a white pie with clams... the flavors are amazing!
