Fun fact! Concerned ape specifically added this into Stardew Valley because someone on Twitter @ed him and showed that Sea Urchins irl do this very thing and Concerned Ape thought it was to cute to not add!
@@Rax_Arkain Nope, the golden pumpkin is just decorative or a good gift. They're talking about the Artifact Troves that you can buy from the desert trader in exchange for omni geodes. Mushroom Cave is good for money, but the Fruit Bats are good for friendship and early health. Got up to six hearts with Shane and Linus with some gold, silver and normal quality fruits-
It's also good for Robin (give her peaches until she regularly sends you wood - very helpful), and Elliott with the pomegranates (though he never sends you anything in the mail... too busy thinking about his book and his hair.)
Both Caves are way underpowered. They perform half decent in the early game once you unlock them, both helping somewhat in the Community Center and Frienships, but once you reach a certain point you can simply ignore the cave and focus on getting either better gifts for the Villager or more money through other means. For End-game only the Fruitbats are useful because you can ignore them and just go inside to get all the fruits at the end of every season, while the Mushrooms you have to get every day to profit from them.
The fruit bats are useful in quite a few ways (mostly for early bundle clears and gifts), though I still end up picking mushrooms most of the time specifically because of the purple mushrooms. You can also use slimes to buy Icecream at any time, and you can even buy energy tonic at any time with a slime behind the counter. You can get the stone Junimo even without the secret note though. I know some stuff won't be where it's supposed to be until after you see the note, but I grab the stone Junimo in my first spring now and it's always there
I am so excited for Haunted Chocolatier! It looks like he revamped the combat and gathering quite a lot, which will be a refreshing experience. I also like how the art style is similar to Stardew Valley since I really like the aesthetic.

The treasure chest can also be obtained from artifact troves (along with pearls and golden pumpkins). Just tonight I purchased 37 artifact troves and received 2 pearls, 2 golden pumpkins and 4 treasure chests, along with artifacts for museum.
You can also get Galaxy Souls from enemies in the Dangerous Mines / Dangerous Skull Cavern, though it's quite a rare drop. I got extremely lucky once and was able to get two of them this way during a single trip, meaning I only needed to spend 10 radioactive bars instead of 30 in order to get my Infinity Blade.
Yeah I got one that way as well and didn't realize it was a super rare drop. I tried obtaining two more that way but eventually gave up and bought them with Qi Gems.

I would prefer planting fruit in the treehouse as the mushroom cave is more consistent and daily also so i dont have go in the mine as often for elixirs
Two things I didn’t know: the prismatic bathing suit and the piano, specifically, Elliott’s heart if played in the the correct order. Cool! I prefer the mushroom cave. I have all fruit trees in my greenhouse, which are now all iridium quality. I use the mushrooms to make Life Elixers. :) looking forward to Haunted Chocolatier! As always, great video. Cheers!
Just correct the 9th fact: The treasure Chest can be easily obtain from artifact trove (3.7%) It turn out being useless while i trying to find the last artifact to be pefect :/
I really enjoy your videos! I'd really love some secrets that aren't in the Secret Notes that you're told about in the game though. At least 3 of the ones you listed are told to you directly in game, at that point it isn't exactly a hidden secret haha
It's actually Meta that the Mushroom Cave is WAY better than the Fruit Bat Cave. You can get Fruit trees super easily while Mushrooms require a lot more work and effort. I have 400hrs+ in Stardew Valley and have a Year 30 save file, so I was definitely part of the 2.8%, Awesome other tips though. Have a Like and Subscriber, I also followed you on twitch. I adore your voice and accent.
@prettyrosie7615 no.2 she literally mentioned using a mod. All the others are true (I think, since I didn't finish the video) but what's the point of adding a "secret" that literally uses a mod 💁🏽♀️
I didn't know the piano but I did know I could put clothes in the dresser. I'm most happy to learn from this that I can put other decor items on aquariums! Omgosh that's amazing, makes them so much cuter!!!
The Elliot piano thing and ice cream stand I didn't know! Though, a lot of the other ones you can find out from secret notes, or are just late game stuff (how did you not know about the dresser? I found it out pretty early on)
I cannot wait for that game... The announcement video dropped at like 11pm my time and I was ready to sleep, But no, sleep had to wait.. I just had to watch it first!
The ginger secret will be a life saver. It's amazing how often I learn something new even after 1000hrs. Really puts into perspective the amount of work he put into Stardew.
I'm shocked I actually didn't know some of these! The cabinet one especially! Also as for the fruit bat/mushroom debate, I've always said fruit is better 1) for the reason you described and 2) there's way more potential for the fruit to help finish up the community center! Mushrooms are easy to find (almost a guarantee) where as things like pomegranates and oranges you have to pay quite a bit of money for! The fruit cave can finish an entire community bundle and then some!
I knew just a few of them, the piano was one of them (and just the playing part, I didn't know that Elliot could react), however a lot of them aren't "secrets" per se, because they are written on the secret notes (they'll remain a secret only to those that don't understand how to discover Korbus).
This was super useful! Thank you! I chose the mushroom cave to help me complete the community center because it was usually finding the mushrooms that stumped me and I could always get fruit trees for the fruits 😅
Never apologize for clickbait. The more eyes the better. Especially because these are great videos anyways. And yes, super hyped for the chocolate game ✨🎈🐥
weeellll, mushrooms are a lot harder to get than fruit even into late game. It's nice to have a good source of them directly on your farm. Not even for selling, just so you have access to them
I would say there are Pro's and Con's to both Fruit Bats and Mushrooms for the Cave. The mushroom cave provides ingredients for life elixir so it's better late game but the fruit bats help with finishing the community center early.
Void mayo got me! I didn't know that. And ginger hack is pretty useful. After playing a bunch of saves I realised I love fruit cave more. I can easily compete handles, give gifts, make some jam and as you said you level up. + when you have a lot of things to do on your farm it's really hard to not forget going into the cave to sell some mushrooms 🍇 And about Chocolatier! I'm so hyped I can't wait. I really like the aesthetics🍫
Having 100% completion in the game, I was definitely pretty skeptical clicking on your video, but I was happily surprised! There were at least two things I didn't know!! :)
I have the mushroom cave and I believe it’s better than the fruit-bat cave, because if you put a common mushroom in a seed maker it will give you fall seeds. And if you have the tea leaves recipe the fall seeds will come in handy. You will get so much money from selling the tea leaves.
You can catch the big trees in the crane game in one turn, just aim for the centerpoint of the tree and it tends to stay more stable. It doesn't have to drop onto the conveyer belt first.
All I ever get are those damn trees, and I'm still on mobile with the save that's that far in the game, so I can't even put them anywhere besides in my house, in my sheds, or in chests 😭
I'm the kind of person who spends way too much time reading the Stardew Valley wiki and I didn't know some of these things, so great job with the video!
Personally I go with the mush cave. Ive had some really abysmal luck with the fruit bats. I once picked them for a CC year one challenge, and not only did it very rarely produce anything, but I only got a single apple from it. (you are just better off planting those saplings in spring for that challange imo) It doesn't matter either way, the cave is quickly out paced by either regular foraging, or fruit trees in the greenhouse.
I wouldn’t say that treasure chests are incredibly rare because either I have godly luck or when you get a lot of artifacts they are more common when braking open geodes
I actually knew 78.6% of those secrets already but it was interesting learning the rest. Also, I'm looking forward to Haunted Choclatier and whatever shenanigans ensue!
I know this is an old video so idk how likely it is this tip will be helpful, but as a note on the ginger clearing nausea and combined rings tips, you can include an immunity band in one of your rings and combined with your boots' immunity rating, you can make yourself immune to nausea in the first place, saving you from having to take ginger with you, which can be huge when you need every space possible for loot. idk if immunity bands stack. If they do you can use 2 (one in each combo ring) and nearly any boots will get you full immunity, otherwise you need mermaid boots. Cinderclown shoes plus one immunity band will give you 9 immunity (each point gives 10% resistance; 10 immunity makes you fully immune to debuffs)
Basically the first handful of things mentioned are already known from secret notes in the game or just by looking at seller inventories or using an item... and as for the prismatic bathing suit deal, that doesn't counted because it's modded (& can't use your horse & forced to walk slow). Also that thing isn't a bear, it's more like a fat raccoon minus the bandit mask lol Either the mushroom cave or the fruit bat cave have about the same chance to give something decent. You're at least guaranteed mushrooms every day and they aren't always just common as claimed. The fruit cave seems to have just as good of chance to produce a better fruit as the mushroom cave has to produce better mushrooms than just common. But I see what you're saying if you choose the right perk the fruit cave could end up being more profitable/better in the long run 🙂 Definitely HYPED for Concerned's Ape new Haunted Chocolatier because I LOVE stardew and can't wait for something new that's similar
Nice... I've never seen anyone talk about the final secret note. The missing pendant can be found by fishing the little pond at the spa, tho not in winter coz it's frozen
Maybe the fact that I know all of these is a testament to how much time I waste on the stardew valley wiki... Also really hyped for haunted chocolatier, if I don't get it as soon as it comes out I'm pretty sure I'll just spontaneously combust I need it so bad
2:25 it writes on one of the secret notes, "i hid something behind the community center." and on another note, it says "at 12:00 of any season's last day, check the bush right behind the park." and shows a hand drawn park and a bush
If you grab something in the crane game the objects are more stabilized when you grab them centered. Try grabbing a big tree right in the middle. It will not fall down necessarily. :D
Not gonna lie i actually didnt know a few of these, elliots tune, butterfly hutch in the green house, dark talisman will literally give u the mayo by fishing and my 2 favorites that i found super interesting and didnt know that u can use ginger to take away nausea, and that irridium ore can be used as slingshot ammo! i really thought i knew everything, good job you got me! ^.^
You can also put rings in the dresser. Oh and if you make a pirate hat (cloth and treasure chest) the pirate at the cafe will serve you (mead I think). Also Sandy will sometimes give you a small milk when you talk to her. For mobile players you can buy multiple items by exiting and reopening the shop. You can also buy more than is available by using the slider (for example, solar essence at Krobiu's shop, if you buy 9, you can then buy all 10 (right afterwards without exiting) which is a bit faster. Yes I play too much stardew valley.

I would prefer planting fruit in the treehouse as the mushroom cave is more consistent and daily also so i dont have go in the mine as often for elixirs
i was really skeptical with that title but you hit it out of the park! i only knew a handful of these and i thought i knew most of the secrets!!
Mods aren't secrets.
Sorry this is a year late but I wouldn’t just assume that these are all mods maybe they could be real you should test them out yourself!
@prettyrosie7615 no.2 she literally mentioned using a mod. All the others are true (I think, since I didn't finish the video) but what's the point of adding a "secret" that literally uses a mod 💁🏽♀️
Hater
Mods? Only the second secret uses mods
She was probably just laying anyways
I didn't know the piano but I did know I could put clothes in the dresser. I'm most happy to learn from this that I can put other decor items on aquariums! Omgosh that's amazing, makes them so much cuter!!!
The Elliot piano thing and ice cream stand I didn't know! Though, a lot of the other ones you can find out from secret notes, or are just late game stuff
(how did you not know about the dresser? I found it out pretty early on)
The Ginger trick and the combination of Rings is Awesome! Thanks for the Tipps :)
You are my favorite Haunted Chocolatier youtuber already :)
I cannot wait for that game... The announcement video dropped at like 11pm my time and I was ready to sleep,
But no, sleep had to wait..
I just had to watch it first!
The ginger secret will be a life saver. It's amazing how often I learn something new even after 1000hrs.
Really puts into perspective the amount of work he put into Stardew.
I’m just glad someone knows how good the fruit bat cave is 😂 thought I was crazy for a minute
Fruit bat cave is the way!!!
Real life protip: Ginger can actually be used to treat nausea in pregnant women.
and non-pregnant women. and men.
You’re amazing! I love you and your work ❤️ 😊
Thank you so much! 😊
I knew just a few of them, the piano was one of them (and just the playing part, I didn't know that Elliot could react), however a lot of them aren't "secrets" per se, because they are written on the secret notes (they'll remain a secret only to those that don't understand how to discover Korbus).
Where did you get that statistic from?
This was super useful! Thank you!
I chose the mushroom cave to help me complete the community center because it was usually finding the mushrooms that stumped me and I could always get fruit trees for the fruits 😅
Never apologize for clickbait. The more eyes the better. Especially because these are great videos anyways. And yes, super hyped for the chocolate game ✨🎈🐥
weeellll, mushrooms are a lot harder to get than fruit even into late game. It's nice to have a good source of them directly on your farm. Not even for selling, just so you have access to them
I am very hyped for 'Haunted Chocolatier".
+ when you have a lot of things to do on your farm it's really hard to not forget going into the cave to sell some mushrooms 🍇
And about Chocolatier!
(you are just better off planting those saplings in spring for that challange imo)
It doesn't matter either way, the cave is quickly out paced by either regular foraging, or fruit trees in the greenhouse.
i have always thought the fruit cave is better especially because you can unlock a mushroom cave on ginger island
Me too :) and i know people talk about making the life elixer but you only really need the purple mushroom for full health 🤭
@7:14 Can also use ginger ale for the same removal effect, plus the luck/speed boost.
I wouldn’t say that treasure chests are incredibly rare because either I have godly luck or when you get a lot of artifacts they are more common when braking open geodes
That's a very accurate percentage you got there, Lilly.
i knew them all, except for the 1st one with the certain melody on the piano. it is actually really sweet)
#1 is definitely my favorite item on this list
I'm definitely excited for Haunted Chocolatier and am definitely going to play it. Hopefully it comes out sooner rather than later.
Concerned Ape will not disappoint!
I married Alex soo. No one will have ice cream. It means all the ice cream is for me.
Basically the first handful of things mentioned are already known from secret notes in the game or just by looking at seller inventories or using an item... and as for the prismatic bathing suit deal, that doesn't counted because it's modded (& can't use your horse & forced to walk slow).
Also that thing isn't a bear, it's more like a fat raccoon minus the bandit mask lol
Either the mushroom cave or the fruit bat cave have about the same chance to give something decent. You're at least guaranteed mushrooms every day and they aren't always just common as claimed. The fruit cave seems to have just as good of chance to produce a better fruit as the mushroom cave has to produce better mushrooms than just common. But I see what you're saying if you choose the right perk the fruit cave could end up being more profitable/better in the long run 🙂
Definitely HYPED for Concerned's Ape new Haunted Chocolatier because I LOVE stardew and can't wait for something new that's similar
Nice... I've never seen anyone talk about the final secret note. The missing pendant can be found by fishing the little pond at the spa, tho not in winter coz it's frozen
I learned about the butterfly hutch's effect and the prismatic bathing suit! great video. :)
Maybe the fact that I know all of these is a testament to how much time I waste on the stardew valley wiki...
Also really hyped for haunted chocolatier, if I don't get it as soon as it comes out I'm pretty sure I'll just spontaneously combust I need it so bad
actually a pretty good video, most videos like this just talk about all the same stuff everyone already knows
2:25 it writes on one of the secret notes, "i hid something behind the community center."
and on another note, it says "at 12:00 of any season's last day, check the bush right behind the park."
and shows a hand drawn park and a bush
If you grab something in the crane game the objects are more stabilized when you grab them centered. Try grabbing a big tree right in the middle. It will not fall down necessarily. :D
Not gonna lie i actually didnt know a few of these, elliots tune, butterfly hutch in the green house, dark talisman will literally give u the mayo by fishing and my 2 favorites that i found super interesting and didnt know that u can use ginger to take away nausea, and that irridium ore can be used as slingshot ammo! i really thought i knew everything, good job you got me! ^.^
2:28 multiple things about that: secret note 14 alludes to it and walking against the center will stop you from going further when u reach it
I didn't know about the horse placement trick for ice cream, as well, I didn't know ginger cured the nausea. But knew about everything else.
I'm so glad I knew them all :)
Fruit bat cave means you can likely complete the enchanter's bundle and artisan bundle year 1 without buying fruit trees.
5:35 “they’re usually pretty easy to find.”
Me, who has to find tropical curry for him which can only be obtained once you buy it from Gus at the ginger island resort, which requires that you find a minimum of 50 golden walnuts to build: oh REALLY?!
For the crane game, If you grab the big pieces in the back directly in the middle it won’t fall
I knew most of these but what really surprised me is that you can put hats on urchins! I had no idea
I didn't know that about Elliot! Also, butterflies in the greenhouse, why didn't I think of that?? lol I'm excited for Haunted Chocolatier as well! Looks so cozy and pretty!
3:06 - I have a butterfly hutch in my house but I never thought to put one in the greenhouse! I feel so dumb but thanks for the suggestion!😅
Omggg wow!! I knew most of them except the piano and the ginger against the ghost. I always thought I needed ginger ale not just ginger! I also didn’t know you could combine rings thanks.:)Hahah cool videos
