That Malibu is a 10.90 car all day. I guess I've never viewed a 10.90 street car as something slow, but then again, I'm old.

Great video. Hope to see more of these "no trailer " videos. This reminds me of Street racing in the 90s . Street racing at its purest. No trailer, no tube chassis, nothing crazy. Just home built cars. Built not bought. How Street racing was intended to be.
This is how we did it back in the 70s on to we started oval track racing but we still had some drag strip activities to o I built a 53 Ford gasser with Ford power all the way and I built my brother a 67 mustang pro stock Ford crate motor and we won lots of races and I built 😉 some chevys along the way like a 69 chevelle and a 70 chevelle with much success es 👍 😉 😀

I quit street racing in mid 70's. There were cars running then that could run in high 9s, and were driven to the spot
Don't know why, but I was 100% more interested in this shootout than most of the fast car stuff.

Awesome video guys! Looked like a blast to be there! I'm from central Indiana and when the old man suggested making a loop around Columbus and then race, would weed out the actual non true street race cars, I relate to making the 465 loop around Indy then immediately get a race off. Great idea plus the people that love the sport and can't afford to go full tilt in the competitive no prep game that it's become can enjoy racing their stuff, reminds me of of year's ago the way most street happened!

Love this content. Brings back old memories. I think a lot of racers miss the old days when you raced, had fun and if something broke it was usually an easy fix and affordable. Less stressful and can drive anywhere. I miss banging gears. Love the clean 4 eye! That rare mint interior is perfection. Keep it and keep it original.

I think South side machine makes some “traction bars”for your mustang, which are just relocated lower control arms, gives more anti squat. Don’t think they were too awful expensive either. Get that thing 60’ing better. Especially if the car has been lowered, it messes the geometry up. Love the little fox. I’d take that car over all of them, just cause the 5 speed. They were so much fun to drive!

I love watching races like these. It reminds me of the shit I use to do when I was younger even though these cars are still fuckin way ahead of anything we had back then lol. But it’s just more interesting watching cars like this vs cars with huge sponsors where they have an unlimited budget.
One thing i really appreciated watching this, is there wasn't any crying or needless drama! You guys all seemed to get along really well. I hated that shit.... out trying to have fun and someone gets all butt hurt and pouty an sucks the fun right out of it.. help each other out, competitors don't have to be enemies 🤷♂️.
