It's exterior has been taken to a new level with revised front and rear fascias, headlights, taillights and much more. On the inside fit and finish is on am all new level and there is plenty of space for everyone inside. Is the 2020 Kia Cadenza a BETTER luxury sedan than the Toyota Avalon.

    The Telluride...the Stinger and now this refreshed look of the Cadenza...Kia has really been stepping their game up. Of course it's not going to appeal to a select group of people for various reasons, but to each his or her own. They look great to me. I could definitely see myself driving this. Seems like all the car manufactures are going for that sleek, futuristic design. Kia's on the right track.

      Don't forget the K900, which knocks them all out of the water! Unfortunately they don't even list it on their Canadian website, and good luck finding a dealership that has one for test drives. I think they need to work on their marketing because the products are awesome.

      Yes, a few things, however. I would love if the Telluride and the upcoming Optima offered an alternative to the faux wood trim on the higher levels. And lose the piano black or minimize it. This Cadenza has a nice interior until you get to the piano black on the doors and especially on the dash. I know a lot of even upscale cars have it, but this period will be known as the piano black era. And it'll date the cars. Otherwise, Kia's new designs are terrific. I like the Stinger, no faux wood. But this car also has faux wood and I think Kia should do like Mazda. Put real wood in it or just use another type of trim.

      I'm just fearful of the sedan sales numbers dropping to the point where they are cancelled. Honda sold 15,000 Accords last month, down considerably from what they normally average in a year; Toyota moved 1,500 Avalon sedans last month, 27,000 for all of 2019. Car sales numbers are scary right now.

    I think the Lexus ES is better. It’s better looking, probably more reliable, nicer cabin, more power, better fuel economy and has a hybrid option. Maybe the cadenza has a "Maserati grill", but the back look like a Hyundai Ioniq. Anyway, I’m still choosing the Lexus because they have their own design while Kia just copying everything else. Hard for me to believe that this is the top limited trim for the Cadenza. What happened to the HUD, and the power tilt\telescoping steering wheel that are both present in the 2019 model? I like the fact the 8 speed auto finally made it, and it's refreshed looks are stellar, but if they're skimping on the tech, it's not gonna compete very well with the Avalon, or the Maxima.

You can find new 300’s at dealers but the picking is slim and it cost more to lease it than buy it, figure that out. The Cadenza isn't a competitor of the Lexus ES350. A more appropriate comparison is the Nissan Maxima or the Toyota Avalon. On that score the Cadenza makes an appealing value proposition. If the pattern for the updated version follows that of the previous version, a top trim Cadenza can be had for about the same real world price as a loaded V6 Camry or Accord 2.0L Touring model.

Now I am very disappointed with this version of car in autoshow when I heard about features in review. Seems they just replace front exterior body, rear exterior body, and some dashboard design with new screen. New features I was expecting was
    1. TFT digital screen odometer
    2. Head up display.
    3. Shifter handle of automatic transmission.
    4. Entertainment control for rear passenger.
    5. 4 cylinder engine.

    Kia has already proven one of the top car manufacturers. I think the Cadenza is better than the ES350 overall when you take price into the equation.
    But I think the most anticipating Kia this year should be the all new Optima...simply the best mid size sedan to date IMHO.

  • @iSlandeRon
    @iSlandeRon 4 года назад +1

    Great review! And I am really liking the interior but I noticed a few things missing from the 2020 cadenza which I assume is at least a mid trim if not the limited trim things that I have on my 2017 technology model that is the mid trim. First there is no power adjustable steering wheel. No paddle shifters. No front fog lights. Fake exhaust vents in the back. No front LED turn signals. and although nobody’s mentioned the rearview mirror from what I could see in your video and from what I’ve read there’s no more compass and I don’t even see any home link buttons either! So the larger infotainment screen is definitely an improvement and Changing the climate control so now you could see the temperatures on the dash without having to move one of the climate control knobs so the display would show what temperature The climate control is set at. Unfortunately I think there’s more negatives than positives with this refresh eSpecially with the 2021 Optima coming out which looks great and probably will have the same features less money.

    In korean version of Cadenza, it has the same gear shift as K900. But for international one, KIA just inserted the former Stinger's basic gear knob. That's the only thing I don't like.

    Kia has the Cadenza above the Stinger on their website. In terms of the MSRP's, I'm not entirely sure if the Cadenza breaks $50K (it wouldn't surprise me if if it did, based on this car and what it offers) whilst the Stinger does... But nobody really sells the Stinger for MSRP anyway. Usually like $8-10K less. Rio < Forte < Optima < Stinger < Cadenza < K900. Regardless, this sedan is supposed to be more premium than the Stinger... And I'd also be somewhat disappointed if this one is the top trim level, because there were some nice touches I saw in the reveal on the Korean side of things that aren't here. So I assume there's a better trim than this
