I remember back in the 80s and early 90s when Samsung was considered a cheap, garbage brand. Ten years later that all had changed. It´s the same with Kia, which began making economy cars, but has since grown enormously in stature and ambition.
It's just like OnePlus in the cell phone world ... started out making great budget phones, now they're killing it in the premium market. I had an '03 Rio RX-V (the hatchback/mini wagon) and loved that little car. Was it super high quality? Hell no. But it was huge value for the money for a 20-something and had a TON of room inside if you dropped the seats. Car seat for the baby in the back was pretty tight though. It was pretty much the reason it had to go.
I agree. I currently drive an '18 Stinger GT2 that I acquired as a CPO at a local dealership here in the DFW metroplex. Fantastic cars, IMO. I'd definitely look at a CPO K-900 later.
Though a K-900 Estate (wagon model) would be a fantastic option, IMO. The Stinger 3.3GDI turbo is a nice baseline powerplant, though a V8 option in the future would be awesome, perhaps a GDI twin turbo big brother to the Stinger powerplant.
@@PimpSolja49 You think it's a good thing that they charge you $800 for a standard maintenance service? Lol, c'mon man. You're entitled to be a fan of whatever brand you want but your bias is obvious
There is one that I’m actually looking at buying that has a 13k discount. The price is 48 now. I think that’s a deal for everything I would be getting.
Eh they're covering the depreciation, 🤷🏾♂️Kia and Hyundai (Genesis) resell value goes downhill quick...yet their warranty is unmatchable, my Kia dealer DOUBLES the warranty.
I own a 2017 L and it is a great car. Gets a true 23-28 mpg, is the same size on the interior within 1/2 inch of an S Class and has electric everything including heated and A/C seats. I bought mine on 11/19 for $26K with 18K miles. Looked at a Benz with 42K and it was $68K. NO BRAINER

This is a great car and you wont pay more then 60 to 65,k. Nothing cant even come close to this!! A E Class or A6 or BMW5 will cost more then this...with some options...and this will be more reliable
K900 is one of the most underrated luxury cars in the game...Korean auto industry have their target set on the German competition...Genesis G90 and this Kia K900 are luxury at a discount price...Kia needs to give this K900 a different name that sounds more appealing to the consumer.....
I bought a K900 last year and what a deal!!!! And the original warranty was still good for 2 years!!!! People can't believe it's a Kia!!! My girlfriend loved it so much she wanted to swap cars after driving it for 2 weeks!!!😂😂
People that have $70k to spend on a car are not going to want to spend on a car that has the name Kia written all over it. It’s a beautiful car well worth the money but I don’t see it selling. Great review. 👍
Another amazing video Joe! I haven’t even watched it yet but I can tell it’s going to be great. I clicked off another video as soon as I got the notification
Nice review about this great car. I had the previous generation (V8) K900 and had the following issues: Lack of traction - solved by AWD. Lack of low end torque - solved by twin turbo. Weak, off the line acceleration due to tall first gear - not solved. You could have mentioned your impression how you find the audio system in the new one, I loved that Lexicon in mine.
A great looking car. The only thing I don't like about the exterior is the rear lights. Something about the silver trim around the lights looks off to me.
Without the jus badges I’d think this thing is a Mercedes or a Bentley,, look at the rear and front end!!! Literary reminds me of a Bentley now I’m wondering how’s the reliability of this car as most if not all luxury cars are very Unreliable
in my opinion, when it comes to cars over a certain price, it doesn't matter how much bang for the buck and extra bells and whistles this KIA may offer.. it's still has a KIA badge. Brand recognition matters at this price point for me. Similar cars from well known luxury brands: Cadillac CT6 awd, Acura RLX sport hybrid, BMW 540i, Lincoln Continental, etc.
Joe you are so awesome. I've been salivating over this car for the last 2-3 months. I can't believe the price and value this car has. Just wish they'd make a performance version with zero chrome and switch it out with black chrome or gloss black.
I was thinking about the Stinger for awhile now, but I think this is more of my speed and taste. I don't need to be doing 0-60 at every light with the Stinger, this looks more of a smoother & elegant ride
I’d say to check out the Genesis G80 if you want something more reserved than the Stinger. Can’t go wrong with the Stinger though. Ask me how I Know. 😎
@@JJM956 This car is prefect. Now is 27000 mile. The only problem I found is the bad mpg but who cares. If you had any BMW 6 cylinder engine, you know what I am talking about. The maintenance is cheaper than I expected and you can find coupon literally at any KIA dealership. They have cellphones application allows you to remote start anywhere with internet connection, this is about $150 annually cost.
@@fengbian7787 That sounds awesome then! Is the sound system really good? How well does it fit tall people? I think I will be buying one soon. Anything specific I should be looking out for?
Awesome review Joe as always. The roof liner been a different color and no panaroma roof is a sunk for me. Car look great and is a good deal for the price for an used one.
The fact that this car still exists when it really isn't selling well (even though it's nice) gives me confidence that Kia won't be giving up on the Stinger any time soon 😁
@Raiti's Rides/Joe... Dude are you going to take that CLS 63 AMG out for a test run? I want to see the smile on your face "On Throttle Now" compared to the NSX review the other day
Just a correction, even if you check every option box for this car, it maxes out at 64K. And nobody pays sticker on this car. Easily under 60K. You can't buy a more luxurious car anywhere for this price.
The K900 is a huge statement from KIA, “We’re no longer the cheap auto manufacturer we were once known for.” Beautiful car. Inside and out. I just don’t see it being around much longer. Unfortunately KIA still has that reputation (as of now) and most people who pay that much money for a sedan would rather put it towards a Mercedes or BMW. I do think the K900 is a great value. People just won’t pay that much for a KIA.
I think the only car I would trust used would be a Lexus when it comes to luxury cars, however, this car would be a nice lease and probably not a bad car off lease nice interior and looks good.
At that price,is a great choice. And cheaper to fix too.i agree 100%porcent with you joe, they should put a bigger sunroof. But the rest of the car,is a dream car.😇😎👍

@Lexus Life very true!!! These luxury Kias are definitely more reliable than a Benz or Bimmer, but yes, Lexus still takes the cake there, I'm a huge Hyundai/Kia fan, however, I have to agree with this!
Such a GREAT GREAT car! So good that Hyundai has taken a few features from it and put them in the G80 and Sonata! One of the best cars out there! Not cool that they get rid of the V8. NOT COOL Kia! Still love it though! Nice review, guy. Thanks!
@9:12 I guess this particular k900 will have a great price. A great used car price since it's being used by the dealerships general manager. Just pointing that out in case anyone watching this video lives in Florida and finds themselves buying this car and the dealership tries to past it off as new. Great review nonetheless!
The one thing about both the k900 and g90 is there are corners cut, but those corners are well worth the 40-50% price reduction compared to the competition. But the issue is this is a class of car where money is normally no object, so being half the price shouldn't make up the difference in quality. So to the average person like you and me, this is an incredible deal, but not for its target audience. A Mercedes Benz Maybach at 180,000 dollars is actually a budget Rolls Royce and at that point once again, money is no object so just go for the actual Rolls Royce. Its a weird concept but its true sadly.
I saw one yesterday here in Vegas - Such a nice car. Its a shame no one really buys them, as they're too much a of "badge snob" and can only be seen in a BMW, Audi or Mercedes.
Only thing I don't like is the 3/36K electronic Warranty. 100K is powertrain. besides that I have really enjoyed owning mine. Not quite as good as the Germans, but the price point can't be beat.
I feel like Kia has done a really good job at this point that they shouldn't be treated as an underrated car company anymore.
I remember back in the 80s and early 90s when Samsung was considered a cheap, garbage brand. Ten years later that all had changed. It´s the same with Kia, which began making economy cars, but has since grown enormously in stature and ambition.
