Nostalgia explosion!!! Omg I remember these being so dark on VHS I couldn’t tell what was going on, before I knew about tracking the tv 😂💀 I can actually see the shapes and what they’re supposed to be, they’re so simple and stylized lol
Would you like to see it on a theatre screen, as it was intended as a short subject animated motion picture, with the 60TH Anniversary theatrical re-release of “DOCTOR ZHIVAGO”?
The music and the narrator used to scare me as a child but I still watched this over and over again. I love it!

100% yes! Especially this episode! I've been searching a long time to find it. All these Mel-O-Toons gave me the creeps as a kid. I think it's the artwork, too.

And I hate Mel O Toons so much, Only I love Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies from WB, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto shorts Along with Silly Symphony from Disney, Tom & Jerry, Droopy and Tex Avery shorts, Pink Panther, Along with Happy Harmonies from MGM, Woody Woodpecker, Chilly Willy & Andy Panda shorts, Along with Swing Symphony/Cartune Classics from Walter Lantz/Universal, Popeye the Sailor Man, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Betty Boop shorts, Along with Color Classics/Noveltoon/Screen Songs from Paramount, TerryToons from 20th Century Fox, And Hanna-Berbera cartoons much better than these awful so called crappy cartoons.

Ah yes, I vividly remember Sleeping Beauty being my favourite fairy tale as a kid and it still is to this day!

And they all had theatrical releases when originally made.

She looks exactly like their rendition of Snow White lol
But in Disney’s adaptation of ‘Snow White’ her coiffure is a chinlength bob.
No, I meant Mel-O-Toon's adaption of Snow White is very close to this design for the Princess
Clearly you noticed an error in animation no doubt.
However, just the same, the Disney adaptations of both are far superior to these theatrical animated short subject pictures.

1960 theatrical short subject animated motion picture.
"The castle was alive again!"
Then Sleeping Beauty screamed aloud at the strange man that had just touched her royal person and all the nearby guards came flooding into the room. They apprehended the prince who claimed that all of them were asleep and that he had merely broken the spell. They did not believe him (as they had destroyed all the Spinning Wheels in the castle and there was nothing else in the room) and threw him into the dungeon for breaking into the castle and attempting to harm the beloved princess. Then the Prince's father declared war on Sleeping Beauty's country for imprisoning his son and demanded his return with an army right outside the castle walls. Due to all the food in the castle having spoiled and no crops were replanted, the entire castle died of starvation when the opposing army laid siege and the Prince's father would not believe that the country was under some enchanted, this was the 14th century after all.
Moral of the story: Let sleeping Princesses lie and just loot the castle.
