For twenty years, band leader Prakash John has been at the center of this collection of the finest available R&B musicians. Prakash John's involvement with the music business spans thirty years and criss-crosses continents - from an early stop in Detroit (the home of Motown) as a member of funk pioneers GEORGE CLINTON & PARLIAMENT / FUNKADELIC, to stops in New York with rock legend LOU REED, Los Angeles as a member of ALICE COOPER'S band, and to the BLUES BROTHERS 2000 movie with JAMES BROWN, SAM MOORE (SAM & DAVE), DAN ACKROYD and PAUL SHAFFER. Along the way and in between, Prakash accumulated credits on more than a dozen albums (including gold and platinum records), and as many international tours. All this experience proved beneficial when he decided to devote his talents to assembling THE LINCOLNS, with an ideal towards creating the ultimate R&B band. It's not hard to find enough people to agree that the attempt was successful. The band's press file is thick with critical accolades, and there is sure to be a standing-room only crowd at a LINCOLNS show.
