WARNING STRAIGHT TALK BY WALMART: My phone number with this provider was stolen twice in 1.5 years. My web account was hacked into and numerical information was inserted. THIS IS NOT A SECURE PROVIDER. If you need help, forget Walmart or the online chat. THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT OR GET YOUR PHONE NUMBER BACK. I spent well over 3 hours trying to troubleshoot the problem. They even worked with Verizon. They told me there was nothing more they could do for me. This is my honest feedback as a consumer and I have an information technology degree. Pay a little more and go with another provider. It's not worth the savings. Both occurrences happened in my home town in my own home. Protect your data if you use this provider.

I have been using straight talk for 7 years now and have never had any problems. I also live in Montana and am often out in the mountains. I rarely hit dead spots unless I'm really out there. I hate spending a ton of money for internet and cable so I get the 65 dollar unlimited plan and get between 197-203 G of streaming to my TV at high speeds every month. You can't beat it!

Straight talk service and customer service is terrible. Someone told me they had it and happy with service.
I took a chance getting it and internet goes in and out alot. Reminds me of dial up when waiting for page to load. When needing to get a hold of someone, have to fight through recording or ai. Don't even get full month service, get shorted up to couple days. Unless they improve it, I would not recommend it.

Want some information... look up StraightTalk and the 40 million dollar lawsuit of 2012...
They to this day have yet to change and are most likely headed for another lawsuit especially because of the resent hotspot blunder and the continued falsifications.
The best info anyone can ever give you about StraightTalk is to avoid them its also the best advice.
4GLTE will never reach 4GLTE you can youtube multiple people doing speed tests to confirm this factor. They also have the worst customer service in all of Durkadurkastan.
My rule of thumb is if the call service isnt in the US then its a scam and best to avoid.
60$ a month and you get 60GB of 3GLTE (4G does not exist with ShitTalk) after streaming and downloading some games, basically after you use up that 60GB limit cap you are dethrottled down to something simular to 2G speeds. You also now get 10GB of hotspot even though before you used to get 60GB of data to do with what you wanted if you wanted to use it as hotspot you could... now you can't.

I pay $60 (65 gigs) a month and tbh, it’s not that great for me personally. Straight Talk worked decently for me the last several years, and although I never had more than 2 bars showing on my phone when I was at home, it was okay; however, this past year something happened: My LTE service constantly cuts out several times a day, every day. Maybe the Verizon towers are overpowering the signal or whatever but I’m looking to make a change. Oh, customer service is easily contacted through the chat option on the web or through the app, but God forbid you need to speak to them over the phone because all of the reps sound like they’re on the other side of the world and have what I think are thick Indian accents which are hard to understand for an American like me. It can be a frustrating experience.

On 3 different occasions because our auto billing payment didn't take out a payment although the money was there. I talked to 7 customer service agents and none of them got my phone fixed. I was without service for OVER 36 HOURS so I called and canceled my service and went to AT&T. I had half of a month of my service left and wanted them to refund me the money that they owed me. The refund guy was very rude and told me that I would have to call my bank to get my money back.

Definitely the worst customer service ever. They even let someone else activate a phone using my active number and I'm the third person that I know who had this happen to them. When I called wanting to know why my number wasn't working they told me it wasn't connected to my phone but someone else's. They wanted to give me a different number but I refused and told them to give the person they just gave my number to another number. It took me days of talking to several people to get it straightened out. I told them I don't understand how they can give someone else an active number. I'm looking around for a different option because now the only thing I get at my house is wifi no service where I can actually make or receive calls or text. #fedup

@@BIG_FETUS As I have stated. Walmart has a policy against it. Straight Talk is a self service, it is not a walmart employees job to set up your phone. If an employee is doing it for you they are not liable for any issues, and you have to get assistance from Straight Talk, or get a refund from walmart and try again. With that being said Walmart is only allowed to refund the PHONE not the service cards as the are NONREFUNDABLE. Walmart employees are not trained, nor payed to set up your phone. They are simply doing it to be nice, risking there job in some Walmarts to do so.

I had Straight talk services on four phones for 3 years the 4G LTE speed was more like 2G speeds most of the time the telephone talk service was ok, I had a combination of Verizon server T-Mobile server AT&t server, one of the phones that was on the Verizon server there at the last the LTE would keep falling out and I would only have 3G when I left straight talk I tried to get my phone unlocked but I had had for over a year and a half no show no go straight talk is not going to give your phone to you after you have paid for it...... Straight talk really needs to do something because this new service is coming up like T-Mobile and Visible will put them out of business, 2021 everyone should have unlimited plus hotspot this is ridiculous Straight talk should be ashamed of their self.......

Ive been using Straight Talk several years. Customer Service is very lacking, and that is my only beef with the company. Not only bad but many reps are very difficult to understand. Its not that i have issues with foreign languages, i self study other lamguages and enjoy using the languages I do know. But, when you can barely hear your service rep talking with an accent you dont recognize, plus they are barely audible most everytime ive had to use one. Gets a little exhaustive.
Currently im in need of replacing my cell phone i currently use, so I am shopping for a deal lol, but then arent we all?

At this point after the merger with Verizon Straighttalk is garbage.. the customer service reps barely speak English, all of today august 27, 2022 when I try to make a call the phone doesn’t ring I just keep getting a message telling me that the wireless customer I have called cannot be reached at this time and to please try my call again later. This even happens when I try calling a landline phone. After 15 tries I finally got through to a person on their 611 number this person told me they were doing maintenance on their network and that they expect the problem to be fixed in 2 hours. That was at 4:00 this afternoon. It’s 10:45 now and the problem is still there. I actually got to speak to another person at 611 and they told me that they were NOT doing maintenance..
I have NEVER had more than two bars of signal strength and so it takes a few minutes for web pages to load, with this new issue of not being able to make calls and the customer service reps LYING their service IS GARBAGE…. I’m SO glad that I NEVER signed up for auto refill……

I personally think they should shut straight talk down I mean it's the law once you have a device for 45 days they're supposed to unlock it and you're supposed to be able to use it on a different network if you wish.... and then when you do go to a different network they will not Port your number they are totally illegal they are they should be shut down..... My advice is don't get involved with them you're wasting your time and money.....their data speeds are the slowest in the country they claim 4g but it's more like 2G......

In my line of work I depend on GPS, I enjoy watching videos etc, but several days out of every month I don't have service, its like they just cut my service off? There's never an explanation, no refunds and even though I go to my local Walmart to buy my service, whenever I call 611 im talking to agents in Ukraine? It honestly feels like I'm getting ripped off, I've got 14 days left ill be iso another service provider.

I purchased the $29.00 Straight Phone flip phone yesterday. Today I spent time (to no avail) getting the phone registered and loading $30.00 phone time. I could not get the phone to connect to the network, even with customer service helping. Turns out the cell towers (according to customer service) are not able to connect with the phone. Sad thing is, my wife, daughter and grandson have no problem with connecting with the cell tower. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana which means cell phone signals should be great. My daughter returned the phone to Walmart. I'm out the $30.00 I spent for cell time. About five years ago I had the same thing happen with T-Mobile and their cell towers were five mile (as the crow flies) where I was living at the time. Needless to say I will never again buy Straight Talk or T-Mobile. In short their service is absolute garbage.
