Was in Vico Equense a week ago for 7 days to do the Herculaneum and Pompeii visit. Bought a Campania 3 day pass that allowed us into the sites and the use of trains and buses. Good value at €35 each.
This is not exactly "circumvesuviana". This is the "campania express" still operated by the same company EAV. The trains are much better, cleaner and air conditioned, but the ticket price is also much higher so the trains are almost empty. The real Circumvesuviana train appears in a couple of frames around minute 7:39.
It’s not the old commuter train! The Campania train is beautiful but doesn’t run after October! Unfortunately I’ll go to Sorrento early November taking the oldest train! Hopefully it will be safe
