SRT4 kinetic fuel pump wiring upgrade and fuel leak fix

pt10 fuel leak fix and kinetic fuel pump rewire the main fuel feed fitting was lose where it comes threw the pump housing all fittings were resealed with chemical resistant sealant and reinstalled and the new upgraded harness installed till the next issue is found.

Do you need a retune after adding this?

yes this car was getting re-tuned with data logs threw email as it had lots of miss described issues the seller lied about but just a fuel pump change fuel leak repair or adding the upgraded rewire no tune is needed

what pump does it have in it? I'm guessing 255 should of made the return go back into the canister

What do you do with the black single wire clip that connected to the sending unit.I didn’t see you reconnect it

the single wire is a secondary ground it ran to the oem style fuel filter/regulator and is no longer needed with the upgraded fuel pump

i hate dropping my tank where i live my neon was driven in the winter by the last owner and boy do i get a mouth full of rust dirt and who know what when i have to change a pump

dropping a fuel tank is never a fun job luckily this cars undercarriage is mostly clean from rust and has only a little road dirt.

How did you go about draining the tank?

Pulled the fuel line off at the rail and ran a pice of hose to a gas can and then pulled the fuel relay in the fuse box and used a wire to jump it so the fuel pump would run

Hi, I bought that harness for my srt4 and when I connected it, the relay activated but the pump did not. And I disconnected it and connected the pump with its factory hose and it turned on. What could it be?? Greetings from Puerto Rico

power or ground connection issue for the relay is what id check first.

Bypass the regulator on that canister in the future if you can. That vacumn cap on the regulator quick connect is some mickey mouse shit lol

I'm thinking the oe regulator is just there to plug the hole in the canister has a full tank of gas now and no leaks.. this car had a lot of clown act stuff going on.
