This shit is so incredibly difficult. I love these games but there's parts of completing them that I absolutely HATE. Most of it is straightforward but then you encounter some massive roadblocks and it gets super frustrating
Aaaand finally completed it. Took 5 hours and a shit load of quitting the moment the AI starts going ham. Boy oh boy there really is a lot to look forward to, 950 Otometal, Legend car chase, it never ends.

This was so frustrating, but finally did eet after a handful of tries. I lost to him 3 straight times with a score of 54, 58, and 50/52 before prevailing. Each-freaking-time I had a chance at the winning shot and choked. So glad this is done! I used to love playing pool video games a kid, but I don't play it as an adult, so I stinkola at it. Thanks for the video, it helped me quickly figure out how to line up certain shots.
This isn't fun and I don't want to do this anymore. The fact that Haruka asks for this doesn't help at all and makes me wanna quit the serie, I don't even like her character. So I give up. Even though I have completed Yakuza 0 100% and it was super frustrating, it somewhat felt like you could progress towards tasks with practice. Here the AI is just scripted to pound you at the slightest tiny mistake. Yakuza 0 & Kiwami were games I really enjoyed and wanted to show dedication to by completing them 100% but after all those efforts to complete this game, I now realize it is pointless and all it does is making me hate the game while I should be happy I got to play such a masterpiece. If you can relate to these words, no need to cultivate this frustration in your heart.
This took me only two tries but I admit I got super lucky. The IA messed up two or three shots, and I got some lucky shots as well. Just like bowling with Majima, the secret is to do your best while also praying to the RNG gods in hope that the adversary will screw up at some point.
Wow in almost all my plays he ussually has at least 15 points after break shot and after, when I miss once he completes 61 requiment or clear rest of table, only 4-5 times out of 50 he let me play twice in game and that was when I didnt hit anything. What ads to annoyance is that in Harukas requests you cant restart game but need to load a save or exit and enter buildings. I hate this request so much.
While pool and karaoke require good skill, bacarat does not so I was beting 1000 on tie to get 8000 you can lose 4 times and 1 win to get those 4000 points.(also you have lucky items that can help with gambling, thanks god for them) And when I started in pool I was pretty bad, now after 10 hours I can at least beat intermidiate in Rotation but not Expert, because i always make 1 mistake after which he wins.
Finaly did it, I managed to get doog break pool shot that i got 5,10,11,12 and 13 on that and then managed to get 14 and 15 to hole on foul (on purpose), that left me with 51 and he got 40 then i breaked pool again and got 15,7,9 and won
To be fair to the pool mini game, it’s quite a good representation of real pool. You can actually control cue ball well. Saying that I play pool at a high standard (one visit level) so that certainly helped me complete this.
Pool is not bad in Kiwami and Zero. If you play the Yakuza remastered collection, you realise how broken the pool minigame is. The PS3 versions were fine, they somehow messed up big time.
You know, so far i enjoyed playing 0 and kiwami so far, but it's shit like this that really pushes the line. Even the dance dude and the disco princess from 0 aren't THIS hard. I was hoping on getting kiwami 2, since it has way more minigames and majima construction, but if RGG made the pool rotation expert THIS INSANELY HARD, then they can forget about me giving them money. Might as well buy driver san fransisco if i ever find a psychical CD for that game on my ps3.
I have already done all the climax battles, my legendary playthrough, and sitting at around 90% completion. Nothing I’ve done has been this difficult and frustrating quite like this. I have a feeling it’s going to take several more hours before I get anywhere on this challenge.
Kiwami is my second Yakuza game after recently enjoying Zero. The one thing I noticed though is that they made the actual game in story mode far too easy even on legend, but then made the mini-games so frustrating due to luck based as well as OTT NRG. These moments should have been less stressful and a nice little break from the norm, but instead they're the worst parts. If you don't go for the platinums I think that would make them even worse in a way as you would have like 2-3 goes and realise how f**ked they are. I'm now stuck on this part too, but its Haruka's song for 950 points that I'm dreading the most.
That was pure hell! I only JUST managed to do this last night via sheer luck. The only thing standing in my way of obtaining the plat now is legend difficulty 😅
Yeah very true. I just commented back few secs ago, On my 4/5 attempt, the AI somehow misses 2x. It then allow me to score quite big points. On the last ball on the table when both the AI and my score is pretty much neck and neck, the AI somehow miss the shot AGAIN. Thus allowing me to score the last ball and winning the round. It was purely luck and i quickly save the game after that.
1). Hope to get the break shot advantage and pot as many ball in one go. 2). If a ball is setup is in a mannor that seems imposible.. then try and hit another ball gently so there is no foul... so we force the Ai to make things easier for us to score points not the other way around. So yeah don't let the Ai put you into an impossible situation - BS the Ai instead, lol. ; D
I’m doing this right now and I have two questions 1.what’s the best position to hit the ball during a break shot? i be getting them a lot so this will help me a lot against this annoying Ai 2.and how gentle do you need to hit the ball for it not to foul you? Because I will be getting fouls when I try to this
This is typical of this series, they put in a hundred minigames but few if any are fun. This exists for no reason but frustration. Yakuza could be a great series, but they manage to shit the bed every time.
100% I hate how people claim the games are this masterpiece and everything yet they ignore how shit and frustrating most of the mini games/side content can be, most of its bad design and is just used to artificially lengthen the game

The AI somehow miss 2x shot and those 2 are the big number pool balls (separate occasion) which allows me to score big points. I am seriously thinking whether should i play Yakuza 3 because of this damn pool expert
nicolas navarro English version, a tie between 3 and 5. 3 had the minigame master trophy, 5 took a while to get 100%. Japanese version, 3 and Ishin. Cannot do answerxanswer in 3 and the fan minigame in ishin.

nicolas navarro No problem. Easiest to hardest: Yakuza 6, 4, Dead Souls, HD Collection, Kiwami, 0, 5, 3, Ishin. Kiwami is easier than 0 in terms of platinum but it has luck related shit like 0. Catfights in 0 was cancer.

nicolas navarro The Yakuza 6 platinum is pretty easy to obtain. Since Kiwami 2 is using the same engine as 6, maybe it will be like 6 in terms of trophies. There might be 100% trophy but we will see.
Marcelo Cunha Try the white paper trick. Use white paper or a ruler to line the white ball to the hole you're going for. Also do not pull the right stick at full power. Do not give up, Yakuza 3 and 4 was a lot harder than this in terms of the expert pool a.i.

All of them except 0, 6 and Ishin. Only 1 HD, Kiwami 1 and 2 require you to do them for the trophy.

No. You only need to complete the other substories for amon to appear. Haruka's trust is only for the trophy.

How do you hit the ball soft?
Gently push the right stick up. Not too much power in the shot. It takes a while to get used to but after practice you will get used to it.

@@ryugaroxas Always practice. It does take a while but it pays off in the end. Practice on the easier settings or alone, without Haruka.
