  • The final faceoff between the Cayman GT4 and GT4 RS! After testing and tunning the suspension on the GT4, we added some sticky tires to see how close we can get our GT4 to the GT4 RS. Is the 70-100k difference between cars justified? Or should you just get a GT4, give it the SAGA treatment and save the cash? Find out in this episode!

That was a great analytical video. Thanks for posting, I was once dedicated enough to analyze VBOX data like this. Now I just arrive and drive.

Most of our team does the same but we strongly feel that data is the best at finding those last few tenths.
Just watching and dissecting any video is of great help too, although its nothing like having a good instructor in the right seat.

Can you do comparison of 981 GT4 vs 718 GT4 on the same tracks ?
What was the cota laptime of the 718 GT4 with R7 on this video ?

We really wish we still had our Yellow 981 but it is long gone. Missing it so much was why this new 718 GT4 was purchased.
Yes, COTA laptime was on a R7.

excellent content! I wish you could do similar analysis (or at least headline figures) when running 4RS on slicks. Other than tires, what other mods were done to GT4 and 4RS? assuming the usually alignment stuff (tie rods, toe arms, shims, sway bar end links, etc)?

Correct we installed all necessary components to make the cars fully adjustable (Front and Rear Camber Plates, Rear Tore Arms, Front Thrust Arms) we also have Girodisc Rotors on both cars as well as OAPs for a better tone!
We have continued to run the Nankangs on the 4RS and went Sub 20 at COTA, huge achievement!
The car will get Stickies in the Fall so stay tuned!

Please update with what you did to repair/future proof the shock tower crack on the RS. Did you do this to the GT4 as well. Have concerns as I plan to track my car. Was the 4RS lowered?

Will do! We just got our 4RS back and we’ll make sure to put out an update. We haven’t lowered the car any. Just the same modifications that were done to the GT4. We do have some more ambitious plans for the 4RS now that’s its back.

What motorsport accreditation do you have. Do you have any FIA accreditation. If so what level.

Just a group of Gentleman drivers that take HPDE's and driver development seriously. In a lot of the cases we are the go to group at the track for tire and setup recommendations, sometimes even providing mechanical help.

Front end of the 4RS chassis is from a 991.

Yes, we were all helpful it would get the double wishbone from the 992 but now we realize it would have just compounded the rear end issues of the 981/718 chassis.
