@deaddoll1361 so sorry to set you off like this. If this is where we're taking this, then I'd also argue in full seriousness the p bass was invented for Mark Hoppus 🙄
I love the first riff he plays and keep coming back just to hear it. I'm way too poor to afford the guitar but it's definitely one I would love to have.
I love how they took two things that the pawnshop and classic vibe models missed, the 7.25 radius and the wider bridge plate, so it can intonate correctly.
I’ve got 3xVI’s and I don’t plan on stopping. It’s like the left hand side of the piano. I’m normally a fuzz player but the cleans of a good VI are amazing.
Ive got two squires lol one sunburst with the most amazing figuring on the body and the neck and one i.n lake placid blue with a humbucker in the bridge
@@lovellcarr9031the easier way to learn it is to watch when he’s playing so you know where the fingers go (or at least the section of the neck) and which strings he picks
@se7ente3n Apples to oranges. These are imported from Mexico, which is Fender's mid-tier budget line. Gibson has American made stuff in the ballpark of Fender's vintera stuff, and the $3k Les Pauls ain't it. You're comparing different price tiers from 2 different companies, both of which I would argue are kinda overpriced.
Since it’s coming straight from the official Fender RUclips channel, I would hazard a guess that it’s a Tone Master Pro that this baby was plugged into for this demo. I could be dead wrong, however.
The intro sounds pretty similar to Metallicas The day that never comes but i think he his just jamming around to some riffs which sound like this better anyway it fu**ing awesome especially that depth heavy chorus \m/
dammit, for weeks I've been stuck listening to OBNE bl-series demos with that squire bass vi. Now I find myself seriously considering this one. So far I convinced myself, a cheaper copy with the right pickup is all I will ever need in a bass, to think the first fender that gets me hyped would be this. Well done Fender 👍
I was looking at getting one of these and tuning it like a baritone. But the only bass vi's being made were squires. Definitely gonna have to get one of these
I’ve also got a Squier Vintage Modified Bass VI. More than my jazz bass, it has become my go to when I want to play a fretted instrument. That doesn’t mean it couldn’t use a few modifications. Most specifically, I would want to have the stock pickups wound a little tighter.
Don’t consider yourself too unlucky. The Squier bass vi is kick ass, and I find it difficult to believe this Fender version is worth the 1k price increase.
Almost sounds like my squire baritone jazz sorta.. the potential is pretty endless with this thing though if it was hard tail they would have sold out by now
I like the look and tremolo of this version but it has a little too much treble. The Classic Vibes version has more of a growl which I appreciate. After all this IS supposed to be a kin to a bass
How about having a bass player do the demo since it is a bass. This bass was really not made to be played like a guitar in this demo. Anyone interested in this bass could not get an idea of what normal single note bass lines sound like.
Yeah, I was wishing the same thing. People like the Beatles and Peter Green were definitely playing these more like basses when they were first introduced.
Meanwhile, everybody ignores the elephant in the room: can you play it through a regular guitar amp? The Fender VI strings are not as heavy as those of an electric bass. But they're still heavier than that of a guitar.
Does it come with the notable current features of MIM Fender guitars and basses like a misaligned bridge, improperly cut nut, sprouting frets, and bog-wet timbre that hasn't been properly dried and cured so it weights a ton and is not dimensionally stable? I sure hope not!
@@kerstinover4536Have you played one made in the last two years? So fire
