rosewood is back. im pleased with it. time for the Fender Road Worn II.
Indeed. Every time I'd hear "Pau Ferro" it makes me cringe, those stripy necks look ghastly. I don't care if that rosewood is fake, just make it really dark and uniform - just like Leo used to make them back in 1960s.
Roadworn I’m down with that. Hopefully player series get the Roadworn besides Vintera Roadworn ii.
@@purnamacinema3256naaah road worn is high end.
It feels like a nightmare when Fender's used to insist on Pauferro as rosewood
That Ocean Turquoise 50s Strat is gonna break some hearts. My goodness 🔥
Why break? Just buy it to avoid your blood pump malfunction. Simples.
I really want that 60´s Sunburst to be my first Fender
Massive step back in the right direction with these Fender. I know the Rosewood issue was out of your hands but the specs on these guitars are really good. Hopefully your able to do a gew limited runs in Nitro?
*unlimited.
Well they can only do limited runs of Nitro for environmental reasons. Supposedly
@@darrenc8776
Yes, obviously. You never know, maybe someday someone somewhere will invent a really efficient filtering system...
Oh, wait. 🤔
--------------
Anything "limited" is invented to create scarsity and high desirability, hence neat profits.
The 70s 🤤
Blue one with neck pickup with Flanger is blowing my mind
true strat sound, love clean neck pickups
EDIT: good job,Fender, thanks for including her.
ORIGINAL: Fender, why would you give credit to Joshua Gooch, but not the player at the end?
@wendigo.93yes She do a great Job too
So inspiring!
Fender please make Vintera left-handed versions available!
Great looks!
Roadworn II series please
Really great that rosewood is back.
Rosewood is back!! thank goodness, but I wish this would extend to the Player Series too.
As much as I don’t mind Pau Ferro I wish they’d bring back RW to ALL the Mexican Fenders.
I suspect that will not happen as it seems to be a selling point for this line they wouldn’t want to cannibalize sales, but I do know that the old Mexican Strats used to have Rosewood as well.
It would be nice to have it back.❤
Love my Player Series regardless considering I swapped the pickups as someone gave me CS 69 pickups as a super generous gift a few years ago.❤
Finally! Waited this news since it was leaked since August.
I love Vintera 70s Strat so much, which was ended years ago. Collected 2 of em. (Sienna Sunburst, Aged Natural) Now I need to check out these V2 70s Strats.
Could it be better than AV2 1973s??
I have the Vintera mocha one. Great guitar!
Great work, step closer back to the classic series.
Mitch Hedberg Jams!!!! 🤪😝✌🏻
The butter cream 70's strat looked killer
Sounds killer too. 70s but really it's a Hendrix strat
Nice!
Anyone can tell me what effects do you need for getting the tone in 2:22 ? Sounds really really great.
Just gotta say I love these options! Pity there's not one lefty option though. 😢
What is the effect heard beginning at 2:20? A cranked-up chorus? That looks like a guitar that makes me wanna hit the Vintera highway 😁
any chance we gonna get Vintera Roadworn ii?
Cool guitars. I hope the QC is better than on the first vinteras. I had to send two back to the dealer. On one the trussrod was not working, the other one had the neck set to the bass side. It was unplayable after the 7 fret.
Will there be any vintera ii roadworn Stratocaster?
If only they weren't afraid of making Fiesta Red in regular series... I'm waiting to pull the trigger so hard
I would love a 60s strat in fiesta red too. They've got the tele in fiesta but I already own the sonic blue tele and would like to get a strat. Don't want to spend $$$ on the AV II.
Dude just buy red paint and get er done DIY
Great!😃 I'll take it.
Hello rosewood
Vintera2 70's strat is READY TO UNLEASH THE FURY!!
Is it the YJM color?
@@javio4636 yes!!
That’s the most un 50s sounding playing ever nevertheless I want one of these!
Haha seriously! I thought the same thing 😂
Fender go to great lengths to recreate era specific pickups and we get a blast of ugly distortion. Where's the quack!
As a Vintera II 50s Strat owner this comment made me lol
Will these be available in road worn versions?
These chorus in the 50's remind me Holdsworth
7.25 neck radius, wont that fret out doing bends?
How do I gwt that tonw at the start of the video?
I have I have an American Professional II (Miami Blue!) and Deluxe Reverb amp.
How do I set it up to sound like that?
Sounded like he was using some compression maybe
It's like a mix between the stratocaster and a jaguar....fender strato-uar
I like it
Anyone else slightly concerned about the blowout sale on the old Vintera series? This new series is great for historical accuracy, but what about the modified versions from the old series? Are those getting new models in circulation too? Are the old ones going away?
still haven't seen or heard anything about those, but I suspect that they'll hang around as is until being refreshed as either a 'new' series (like they were 4 years ago - they were originally "Classic Player") or just new colours (maybe minor changes) and relabelled "Vintera II Modified". I suspect some of the existing ones will live on somehow
I want a Nitro one with 9.5" radius
Go buy one of the gazillion modern models Fender already offers.
@@jaywilldoitbecause there are or where "gazillion" models with nitro and 9.5"...oh wait 🤨
goddamn i want them all
Mitch Hedberg ladies and gentleman
I have a 69 Fender Precision w/Jazz Neck at the time custom color, Ocean Turquoise, block inlay on rosewood neck/bought at the music store I worked for in 1969. 2024 and Fender Custom Shop says "Sorry we won't touch it because you don't have a receipt"; although I do have owners manual with name of "assembler - E Paxton", only Custom Shop in Colorado is HB Woodsong, Boulder. I thought Fender had control of their channel. I believe HB Woodsong is telling Fender that no receipt, no work. If they would do this to a Senior, think what they'll do to YOU. Buyer Beware.
Holy shit it’s Mitch hedberg
Added a II to the end so they could raise the prices. Now the MIM guitars cost what the MIA guitars did a decade ago. Good thing there’s a resell market and lots of those are still floating around.
Exactly. Secondhand all the way. There's no reason for two joined pieces of wood and basic hardware to cost this much. Hype.
Two whining grandmothers is all I hear… cheers buddies, to each their own
@@CHlEFFIN
"Grandmothers". 🤔
First, basic and obvious sign of losing argument is one resolving to crude insults. You know too well that you're talking to men yet you had to insert "grandmothers" like it was some kind of killer argument. The genius of yours is frightening, please withdraw yourself from here for we are not worthy. 🙏
@@CHlEFFIN cheers granddaughter
Not even a decade ago..2017/2018
Trying to decide between 60s Vintera II and American performer… Any thoughts?
If you want '60s period correct with vintage tuners and trem and period voiced pickups, I'd say say the Vintera II.
@@jokermaan1 I ended up buying the American Original 60s in Olympic White... The only time you'll catch me not playing it is work! Absolutely in love with the guitar!
Beautiful guitars, and I'm very glad to see some proper Fenders coming out... But I wish-to-blazes they wouldn't use pedals in these demos. Especially those horrible fuzz boxes that make everything sound like farts! Clean tones are where it's at. Ugly hi-gain fart tones are just kid's stuff IMO, and you cant tell what the guitar really sounds like.
Ok boomer.
Well said. Clean, clean, clean with occasional overdrive. The quintessence of Strat.
@@erengol5216 Yeah, too right, we boomers remember the originals! Why would you buy a vintage recreation and put it through a load of pedals that didn't even exist in the '50s and '60s? Buy a Charvell!
Especially here, with Strat reissues from a time when pedals didn't even exist! Pointless.
FAZZの音、最高だな!😆
Didn’t know Mitch Hedberg played guitar… Or was still alive for that matter.
The 60s should come in Surf, Seafoam & Black.
...and Sonic Blue!
do they come with 3-way pickup switch or the historically incorrect 5-way switch?
My favorite part is that even for the one they used in their demo video, the factory didn't even bother to try to set the intonation. Typical fender.
2:31
Just saw one that just looked like it was darken stained , crap it was darker than my AVII
Truss rod adjustment by removing the neck? :( bummer.
3:29 My favorite 70s , big headstock give you more resonance the problem was the materials of the construction but everybody have his own favorites.
If you are fan of Ritchie Blackmore with the Maple can play his era 1970-1976 ( deep Purple and Rainbow ) later with the Rosewood the last era ( 1976- present) Rainbow 1976-1984 and with Deep Purple return Perfect Strangers album 1984 to 1993 and later 1995-present with Blackmore's Night ( he play some songs) .
Hendrix tones with the Maple , Robin Trower, Yngwie Malmsteen and more players.
I bought the first vintera with Pau Ferro online. Great guitar but I hate Pau Ferro. I'm bummed that the vintera II wasn't available at the time. I'd be ready to sell my guitar to buy the new vintera.
Me too. Shame not to have the rosewood,. but I don't think it has any bearing on tone, it's purely a visual thing (and period correct of course). Actually I saw a RUclips demo and the particular example didn't look that great. It looked very light for rosewood and had lighter streaks, not unlike pau ferro in fact! It may be rosewood but it's not Brazilian like the old '60s examples which sometimes appear almost black!
@@jokermaan1 finally I bought a Japanese model, a ST-62 shell pink with rosewood. I kept my vintera. I now have 3 Strats, each with a very distinct tone.
@Fender you should definitely send me one for free 😉
Why don't you make the 70's in aged natural?!?
👌🇦🇹👍🙋🤸😁
Oh, so today's release overload day, like KDH was complain about. I guess these are supposed to be better than the Player models but still MIM, but I guess still more based on nostalgia than what modern players might consider "playability".
I still don't know what is difference between 50s and 60s neck because GC didn't have any 60s ones in stock, but I assume they're still thicker than the Player ones.
I think I would still be tempted to spend the extra grand for the nitro finish USA '61?
god i hate the 7.5 radius fretboards damn.. why people love that so much is beyond me..
Make them in Left handed you cowards!!!
I was really hoping they would since the vintage ii series had them. Fender are cowards indeed
Fender is a company that couldn't care less for us lefties. Even when they do decide to make a left-handed guitar, 9 out of 10 times the pots are wired in a way that renders them useless. A very overpriced/overhyped brand for what it offers.
@@milankotevski1663 true. My am. std tele is wired like that
Right means correct. Learn to play correct handed
technology must develop and improve. and not go back to the past.
Leftys forgotten about 😕
Good
Deviants shall not be catered for lol
I prefer unsynchronized tremolos. I'm out.
I loved the Rosewood back in this line ....Pau Ferro is so ugly ...for me Rosewood must be forever fingerboard wood in all Fender's line ...including the Player series.
clean sond ?????? pfff
I hate it when this guy talks over the demo!
switching back to rosewood is a massive step backwards. Colours are boring af also. Of the 9 colours Black, white and sunburst make up six of them??
Nothing a can of spray paint can't fix
Made in mexico...shit.
Damn foreigners cain't build stuff right worth a daimn. 'Murica yeeaah
🤷🏾♂️ Jesus Fender, another “New” strat series, that pays “homage” to the strats from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s? Every damn guitar you make is the same …You’ve literally been making the same guitar with minor differences for close to 100 years now. How about something new? Something different? Wtf why does every guitar you make have to be another take on the same guitar? 🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
7.25 radius... and I'm out
Bye
im the opposite! once i tried a vintage style neck i feel uncomfortable anytime i go back to a modern spec neck with jumbo frets and 9.5”. to me it feels like coloring with one of those big fat crayons for kids compared to a regular one, snd i dont like that
Didn't the 50s have the beveled edges on the pickup post? I noticed they are not and just flat top like the 60s. Thought these are supposed to be vintage correct?
These rounded pickup covers were around only for the very first strats, maybe until 55 or so.
@@rafaelzengo5534 not talking about the pickup covers, the metal posts
@@linkhatchet ah, okay. I’m
Not sure about those.
By the end of 54 they were squaring the pickup covers.
They're not 100% vintage correct anyway because they all have the five-way switch and the bottom tone knob works with the bridge pickup now, which it didn't originally. Also of course the '50s should have nitro finishes.
I would love to channel my inner Billy Corgan on that 70’s strat
