AT approach trail to Unicoi Gap. Central Ky Backpackers Meetup

This was our most recent meet up backpacking trip. We decided on a near 70 mile, 5 day trip from the Appalachian trail approach trail, to Unicoi Gap. We met some great people along the way, and made some even better memories. Unfortunately, the weather did not want to cooperate most days, but it was still an amazing trip. These Georgia trails were no joke, but fun all the same. We practically froze our rears off while going up, over, and down blood mountain with all the cold wind, and steady downpour. The trails on blood mountain were essentially flowing streams as we hiked through them from all of the rain. Our stay at the hostel at Neels gap was a welcome one, with such cold, wet, and windy weather. Excellent section of trail. We can't wait to pick up where we left off next year.
