This is the absolute opposite of Aggretsuko’s English dub. There, they had excellent voice actors who made every character feel unique, and the translators actually made the dialogue into realistic, more slang based English sentences instead of a word by word translation. Aggretsuko is great to watch in both Japanese and English. Squid Game needs to be watched in Korean with subtitles unless you want it to be a comedy.
English dubs over live action is actually so...weird, it's just weird to me, you're literally dubbing over real people, and I can't watch it with a straight face, I watched and enjoyed the show in it's original language 😭
Maybe you think it's weird because most movies are made in the united states. In other places like Mexico (that's where I am from) almost every movie or TV show is dubbed and I would say most of them are great!
