Seems kind of irrelevant compared to the fact that it's used for descent from heights. I mean, the heights thing is so much more inherently dangerous that the pointy thing hardly seems like it bears mentioning, especially because any actual job at heights requires tools that are equally or more dangerous. I used to bring spud wenches and drift pins up for a previous job. Now for routine land maint on my property I literally bring up a handsaw and a chainsaw. The round ended rod on this thing wouldn't even get a second thought.
"Hey, get Linda from accounting and let's take a tiktok of her going down the office building with our prototype...." When she is putting it on, her jeans have holes... then, suddenly, she has black pants?
Idk how it is call in english But in spanish we call it "ocho a la italiana", "italian eight" It is a autoblock mod in the figure eight, you can free the rope easily
In my experience, it's not wise to use rope on rope friction, only rope on metal. If an 80 kg person descends 100 times, how does the rope look after that? Does it get fuzzy?
@@newgunguy4176 China has great metal products, IMHO. I've tried XINDA biners and they're ok. China has a bad reputation, but they're underrated when it comes to high quality. They have ALL the quality levels.
Not a fan of the long rod that can impale you in the event things go south for whatever reason.
This is precisely the comment I came looking for here. That looks painful just looking at it and imagining the damage it could do to your abdomen.

In Germany it is called "Abseilachter" and it is a lot saver than this thing I believe.
What makes the New Improved 9 Descender better than the Standard 9? Thanks for sharing.
That is a cool-looking harness. I wonder what it is.
Well, you can lock it off with half hitches on the rod end. That is nice. But figure 8 or munter hitch is similar.

suppose this is once in a life time escape from burning house or smth, not for daily usage
@@igg5589 I mean, im trying to decide if I should buy the damn thing. I HAVE belaying devices already.
@@xxrgxxcascoIt looks super cool but, it's made in China and there's no way to know the quality of the metal.

@@xxrgxxcascoI agree. I used a lot of Xinda products and it’s good from my experience
Where can i order this ?
👏👏👏👏💪💪
超級簡便好用
Great way to get impaled. 😮
it’s basically a figure 8 with a side lever
Thanks!!!
Why she not wearing a helmet?😮
no helmet - no respect
Super
Знаменитая Китайская спусковуха Леденец 😎
That's going to get someone killed.
Waiting for a liveleak watermark to appear in the corner
good but please never let go that rope ever again
Молодцы, еще чуть чуть и букашку Кашевника изобретут
Hahah need a backup line
She is using a climbing harness ._.
just use a rappel figure 8
She looks like an ai robot
Wel, she's like 35kg. That must be nice.
Unsafe practise - Safety Line not provided. 😳
One mistake and gravity wins 😢
bad for rope
No no no and just no …
The rope runs across itself I can imagine that being safe for rope over a longer rappel.
Don't like that unit ..too dangerous and she pushed off a glass window ! Totally worth not what to do
