    what a cool adventure. wreck was awesome looking too, there is a sense of timelessness down there around wrecks. Like what is the story of that ship? how long has it been there? no telling really from such a cursory exploration, definitely needs more in depth review.
    i loved how Iain's first reaction was to look for salvage and or treasure, i would definitely do the same.
    keep it up, super fun Iain and Brioni.

      It’s one of the reasons we love diving so much. It’s like a whole world with its own, much slower clock. So many mysteries and we can only guess from the clues we find.
      Never turn down the chance of finding treasure! 😂

    2 words: duct tape and boat hook. Fair enough, that's 4 words, but I think we could duct tape the short selfie stick to a boat hook pole and get those dolphin shots. Not sure how that helps when you drop your anchor on the deck of a sunken sailing yacht. What are the odds? More proof that few people are bless with the adventures of sailing like you two. Every episode is delightful bounty of thrills and joy.

    • @RedSeas

      Think I’m too much of a wimp to think the tape might fail and we lose our GoPro. Still, we have been working on a solution and i think you’re going to love the results.

    It’s like flipping a coin 50/50 you tack at the right moment. What’s your secret, please explain in detail how you beat the average?

    • @RedSeas
      @RedSeas  Год назад +1

      It certainly used to be. So Wayfinder monitors everything around the boat. In this case, it works out the direction and strength of the current as it pushes the boat, the direction of the wind on the boat too and calculated the best (tightest) angle we can sail to the wind if we were to turn the boat thru a tack. By showing us on the compass where we will be pointing after the tach, we can use that to see if it’s too soon to tack the boat or not. Next step will be to bring into the calculation the isolating direction of the wind too so we can work out at what point in the winds slightly changing direction we will get the best tack angle.

    Crocodile …really Iain? As a side not what’s the difference from a Alligators, is one fresh water and the other salt water habitat?

    • @RedSeas
      @RedSeas  Год назад +1

      Genuinely, we went for a swim and later that day a boat next to us saw an 8 foot crocodile swim past!
      I believe the difference can be seen in their eyes. Alligators have more pronounced eyebrows that stick out the water higher than crocodiles. I’m guessing they don’t grow quite as large either. Have to love those years watching Steve Erwin!
