  • When managers set performance goals or feel their teams need to improve in any area, training is usually one of the first ideas that come to mind. And that is great! We want to be the go-to team for this type of requirement. However, before we jump to a solution (that is, training), we must understand what problem we are trying to solve.
    Our next step is to fully understand the real learning need and how to fulfill it in the best way possible.
    But, where to start? What to do? What to ask? LNA comes to the rescue!

    Hi Irina, Thank you for making such a brilliant content. I m from India and I always wanted to learn more about L&D since I dint have any proper guidance. Most of the video shows what is what and what to do. But your videos shows "How to" and I am enjoying learning from your simple yet effective way of presenting.
    My request is.. can you make a video on the calculations that's is involved in Trainings like Throughput, Training improvement % etc.
    I follow you everywhere and trust me you are my mentor going forward for my work

      That’s is so kind! Thank you for your comment.
      And thanks for the suggestion. We have a video on how to calculate learning ROI and a separate one on measuring the impact of learning. Are those in line with what you mean?

      Thank you for the suggestion. Things change quite rapidly in this regard so we’re not sure when we might be able to create a comprehensive video on this. But we do have a blog post that discusses some of these: www.thelndacademy.com/post/is-learning-and-development-the-right-career-for-you

    Hi! Love the LNA questions and bonus tips!Would love to know what do you meant by the last tip, “always connect daily activities”?

    • @TheLnDAcademy
      @TheLnDAcademy  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching! The last tip essentially means that (almost) every task you do must be somehow connected to the orgabisation’s goals and bring it closer to achieving it. If the business wants to improve customer satisfaction scores, your efforts need to be focused on learning intervention that address understanding the customer, building trust and rapport with the customer and resolving customer issues, to name a few.

    If a learner requested training for a workshop, would these be suitable questions to ask them directly?

      Absolutely! Though you’d need to tailor the questions to the specific training context.
