- So yeah PGI didn't add the A omnipods for some weird reason. Guess two AMS would be too overpowered? Oh well here is the Black Hawk KU in the A config, or at least as close as you can get it.
I'm a long time Nova and Black Lanner pilot. The Black Hawk was such a delightful surprise for me that it made a grown man giggle. I'm absolutely deadly in it.
I have been having fun running the dark age config with the twin light PPC's and single heavy PPC.
I always play light n can usually hit 800+ DMG with MrM or lasers (have hit 1400), such a fun game, wish it was bigger
Yay gameplay
Wow, didnt know I ever see this mech ingame. But a tad bit it's lame that they just reused the already existing nova, Mechwarrior 3 was the only game that basicly had the KU look. Still, finally an IS omni, yaaay.
It was added fairly recently, in the last few months. They also added the Bullshark from HBS Battletech most recently.
Maybe them adding something with that much AMS would have pissed off the LRM Meta folks who drop cash on stuff.
Maybe? I wouldn't put it past them to look at it that way but then it also means you lose a really good team support asset. I miss the days when lights with ECM would actually stay by the team to shield them, now everyone goes in random directions and alpha strikes until the target dies or they die of overheat.
Yeah, the lack of AMS is odd, especially because the Clan version has them.
I can only assume the team at PGI thought dual AMS would be too OP and get complaints from missile players. Personally I always see it as a good team support build which they should be encouraging.
In the west without changes I see ?
Maybe this means we will get the Avatar soon.
Hopefully. This could open the door for a bunch of good omnimechs.
It's like the nova, but worse.
Weirdly in MWO it actually runs cooler in the default configuration. Which shouldn't work that way but it does because of the quirks and skills.
