I still have gorgeous designs from the 80's and 90's. They made me look like a rock star. The leather and fit were amazing. I have a plumb colored size 4 double zip mini dress that you would look fabulous in. I wish it still fit me
Michael Hoban (ho ban) North Beach Leather was a very high priced up scale brand sold here in the United States in the 1980s and 1990s. We used to send for their catalogs. They had cool stuff, but the prices were out reach for the average consumer. The Maxima brand and Pelle brand were sold at Wilson's Leather or Berman's Leather and was much more affordable and looked and fit about the same.
My wife has over 50 leather skirts and not one of them is a Michael Hoban. That's a great find considering how expensive a skirt like that was back when it was new.
Emma is such an inspiration to myself and lots of others - she gives me so many exciting ideas on here!

That brand is from my dads neighborhood. It reminds me of all the hippies thru 80s rockers that are slowly fading away. Think 80s Tina Turner, the Pointer Sisters, late 80s rappers. Look up the clubs and studios around the Bay Area and you’ll see a lot of the leather work.
