I don't think people have comic book fatigue. They are hating that all is the Marvel_james gunn formula. Something like Batman and joker which is grounded in reality will always perform well.

Korey, you don't need to apologize for LIKING a movie you didn't LOVE because that's perfectly okay. You had a good time at the end of the day and that's all that matters.
Lots of people who haven’t seen the movie will feel bad if korey isn’t glazing the hype as though he is deflating their potential enjoyment/anticipation.
I won’t be surprised if the movie ends up be the best ‘turn your brain off’ type movie and that’s a good thing.
People have to learn how to accept that others have different tastes and opinions from themselves.
Agree. I think Korey gave very fair criticisms. While Martin and everyone else was more positive, I'm just glad Korey still had a good time despite the cons that he listed.

Yeah, and “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” managed to screw that up with their own version of Deadpool where his mouth was zipped shut throughout the movie. Now, me personally, I enjoyed the movie, but I do understand why fans of Deadpool are super pissed at the fact that his mouth was zipped. That I agree with. He’s supposed to crack one-liners and break the 4th wall! That’s his character! They f***** that all up!

When Martin dresses up, he don’t play around. Legit looks fly.
My only critique is that i think you expect common standards for hero movies that don’t fit the tone of the characters…which somewhat relates to people always saying hero movies feel the same. Deadpool is not a hero. He has no qualms about killing who needs to be killed, and he’s not emotionally invested in his villains. That’s why his biggest conflicts are not with the villians and what they’re doing, but rather the people he has to team up with and he has to bond with. He’s not trying to save the world, he’s just trying to save the people he cares about. So the villians play their roles perfectly. They probably have more depth, and greater plans, but none of that matters to Deadpool. They’re just someone else to kill. It’s always about him.
Deadpool breaking the 4th wall to the point of holding the camera is always been a Deadpool thing. If you play video games, the first time I saw Deadpool was in Capcom vs Marvel 3 and Deadpool literal held the camera after winning a fight and started his jokes speaking to the player. It’s awesome! 🤩 😂😂

It's nice to see a Marvel movie with a soundtrack again. Not a score, not one or two pop songs for the trailer, a soundtrack. It seems like outside of Guardians of the Gaalxy, the music doesn't really play an important part of the movie.

I felt’ this movie played like ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ with the extended second act. I had a great time at the movies and will definitely watch again…

Saw it last night and I 100% agree with korey. Very fun film & I enjoyed it but pretty much no plot, villain was meh, & I feel like this film doesn’t do anything to move the MCU along tbh. Still enjoyable though.
MCU doesn’t need to be saved. How can a franchise who made over $30 billion dollars in revenue to fall out ??? Every time fans don’t get what they want it’s trash. Sadly the MCU fans are slowly turning into Star Wars fans. Whether the project is great or bad we’re saying MCU is dead or the MCU is back💯

Korey’s ass is crazy! This movie was fantastic service like no other!!! Nah, I feel him though. Didn’t even think about the fact that Wolvie kept hinting to something they wouldn’t even give us a flashback for. That is a missed mark in their storytelling but they fired off on so many other cylinders!! I just sort of disliked the treatment of a certain hero during his fight scene. So glad we got to see him return but the character is so skilled, the incident happening to him makes no sense to me. Hope he is treated better in his story in the long awaited reboot! Ya’ll know who it is..🧛🏿♂️🗡️

I watched this movie and its a Masterpiece. The trilogy of Dead Pool has reached perfection. Im soaking red now.
It kind of was a love letter to the fox marvel movies and a weirdly sweet send off to that universe.

The cameos were golden! Me and my homie were nerding out like crazy! Yes. It's made for the fans, but was brilliantly threaded together. Especially for the Dead Pool breaking the forthwall in its self awareness.
The beginning of this was so boring. I loved the first 2 films so much but this one, I have to agree, is just a matinee. Deadpool and Wolverine's chemistry is the best thing about this movie (duh!). The most disappointing thing is that this does nothing to change the direction that the MCU is going at the moment.
I’m happy that someone can give an honest review and not just be blinded by fan service. It’s an entertaining but flawed movie

MCU needed to introduce new characters. Can’t stay on characters like Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Peter Parker forever.
I mean. They could….but then they’d have to be like DC. Recasting those roles often, every few years.
Personally, never tried to go in to a movie/miniseries looking to hate on the MCU during this ‘multiverse’ phase.
Some complaints were warranted, sure. But a lot more felt like they were disingenuous….ppl just repeating negative opinions they heard elsewhere and not thinking for themselves.
After 15+ yrs, still a fan. And not saying that just because of this movie and Captain America: BNW being next up.

This film needs to succeed because it senda the message that not every film marvel churns out needs to be self important and preachy. It also can show the difference between how comedy with intention is still effective as opposed to the lazy comedy weve seen in recent films like Thor 4. Disney still has time to course correct marvel and if the next Cap film is as good as it looks I can allow myself to be excited for marvel again.

Having now seen it twice, it’s not perfect but it still exceeded my expectations. It is a low Better than Sex. I can’t help it but it’s so damn good where it counts.

Martin looks badass LOL. Old Man Logan? More like a bad-ass Uncle Phil LOL. Anyway, looking forward to watching this tomorrow. If I'm being honest, Korey's criticisms are kinda what I'm expecting, and WHY I wanna see this in the first place. Deadpool really is Marvel's (and entertainment in general) way of having their cake and eat it too. They can be more straight forward with the meta and self-deprecation, just by nature of who Deadpool is in the first place. But anyway... In terms of it having to "save" the MCU, I'm not expecting that. No ONE thing can save the MCU. People are forgetting that it took a string of hits for the MCU to really cement itself as a juggernaut. Phases 1 & 2 were very up and down, but Phase 3, arguably from Civil War to Infinity, was where they had a legit streak of hits. After the lull of Ant-Man & the Wasp and Captain Marvel, they capped everything off big time with Endgame. Right now, I still maintain that Phases 4 & 5 are akin to 1 & 2: very up and down, where for every good entry, there's a "mid" entry. The problem is just the volume of projects to keep track of, because of the TV shows, and the fact that Marvel also tried to address a criticism of being too continuity-heavy, by having each entry be relatively self-contained. Unfortunately unlike Phases 1 & 2, this time we don't really have a sense as to where everything is going. All that being said, THIS movie can't "save" the MCU. This, Brave new World, Fantastic Four, AND Thunderbolts* ALL have to perform well critically & commercially for the franchise to get back in good graces.

I thought it squandered the multiverse the same way Doctor Strange 2 did. Both films, from memory, have most of the multiverse hopping take place within a montage in the story’s first half. It’s just replaced with the void here.
