- The start of the holiday season is here,lake macquarie is the venue for this trip. Very windy of course but we caught some nice fish. Merry Christmas and tight lines everyone 👍

Hey Andrew, that jewfish looked like it was caught pretty late in the morning. I could see you in the distance at dawn on Saturday morning, you were probably 800m WNW of me. Squid for Xmas lunch for sure👍Merry xmas mate
Merry Christmas Pete, the jewy was caught well after lunch and into the arvo. Lots of casts between fish all day. Squid bonus at least there seems to be a few about. I didnt see u out there i was most likely too busy getting battered by the wind and waves 🤣

Great vid mate you always put in a huge effort and more often than not get great results, love yr work. Do you ever do bait fishing? Because those smaller squid are one of the best baits for jew and snapper you can get and they dont have to be used as livies as long as there freshly frozen I use them a lot with really good results. Even if you dont to me yr the master with lures and know where to use them. Merry belated Christmas
Merry Christmas to u aswell Chris, hopefully u get into some fish if u get time off. I was only just thinking that the other day that maybe i just take another rod and drop those smaller squid back over the side 🤔 just to see what happens. Im not much of a bait fisherman an even as a young kid i was more into lures but the range was wonder wobblers and mister twisters 🤣 they have come along way thats forsure. Glad u enjoy the vids mate i just need to tinker with some wind dulling accessories to reduce that noise. Everytime i fish its windy 🤣 good luck out there 👍
@@Lowysfishing yeah the wind hasn't been real kind lately. I do have some time off and have only just come back from spending Christmas with family in country N.S.W where I'm from and as keen as to get back into it. Lures definitely have come a long way and is a much more existing way to fish so I do bait fish but can't sit there waiting 😆 so toss some lures while I wait and have found it can sometimes go either way sometimes I actually do better with bait so worth a try because going where I see you fishing I know the Jew will sometimes be fussy, but find it hard to not take a squid if on offer and that's just my experience and like I've said I'm definitely no expert. Keep the great uploads coming mate I really do enjoy and appreciate yr content 🙏
