This is such a beautiful, melancholy song - it has to be a favourite for most of us. This song was originally for V's mixtape (there's a snippet of the original, all in English), but the others liked it so much that they decided to use it in the "Be" album. The rappers wrote their own verses as always, but they also suggested lyrics for the melodic part. V rejected RM's lines but accepted some suggestions from Suga. The voice during the instrumental was from one of the co-writer/co-producer, Nive (Park Ji-soo). Sometimes the vocalists are involved in the writing of their BTS solo songs, though not always. I think they were all involved in their "Wings" and "MOTS" solo songs, but not in their "Love Yourself" solo songs. JK has also been involved in "Magic Shop" and some others. Of course, for their personal solo songs, they are each heavily involved. A song V wrote entirely by himself is "Scenery". He wrote and produced "Snow Flower" with his one of his best friends, Peakboy. He wrote "4 o'Clock" with RM, who said it was a 50/50 collaboration. IIRC, for his other solo songs, he worked with other producers and/or songwriters.

Jin in particular wrote a whole other set of melody and lyrics for Epiphany, which has been released on the 3rd CD of Proof, although much of that was replaced at the last minute by lyrics and melodies by Bang PD. It seems to me that all solo songs from LY mainly serve the theme of the albums. In contrast, the solo songs in Wings and MOTS seem to be personal to each member and maybe that's why they were more involved in these ones.

This is such a hauntingly beautiful and sad song. Another V masterpiece. The emotions evoked in this are so powerful. The blending of their voices and the smoothness of it all is so soft yet powerful. I love this song.

It's such a beautiful song, I really love this song, and my favorite performance of it was at the PTD LA concert. The visual representation of their reflection in the mirrors, which was a sad reflection of how they feel inside. It was beautiful. Then it transitioned into my favorite performance of Black Swan, with the backup dancers becoming part of the performance, not just the background of it.
This is my favorite BE album song alongside with life goes on. I'm just so proud of my boy V he's one of the most credited vocal line members if not the most (him or Jk I really don't know) . I'm proud of all of them seriously 😭💜

Tae shared few first minutes of this songs in English during In The Soop 2. He wrote the melody and the lyrics during the pandemic when he felt really down. The members really liked this song and suggested he includes it in the album, but originally this song was meant to be for Tae’s first solo album. Rappers wrote their own parts, of course. Not sure how much of the original melody Tae shared during ITS was altered though as he didn’t share the chorus.

The song that is the epitome of the phrase "It's okay to not be okay". You have every right to feel gloominess and sadness. It's okay to feel sad. Sadness is an emotion that most people like to avoid, and rightfully so, but you need to feel sad in order to be able to appreciate hapiness when it comes your way. Having heard a lot of songs cheering people toThis song made me cry the first time I heard it, without knowing the lyrics. Suga's verse broke my already vulnerable heart and it was the first time I heard him rap in that manner on a song...like I could feel his emotion. I couldn't listen to the song for months because I would always cry when it played. I also love how the convey the message of the song live, not only with their facial expressions but with their voices, especially V and Jimin. You can feel the sadness in their voices
Second favourite song off of BE (after Dynamite, which brought me to ARMY). I can always tell a Taehyung song, it has a musical filler, and it always fills my heart. Wonderful reaction, and hope all is well.

But also on some of the group songs like the outro on telepathy and fly to my room even life goes on vmin always do the humming at the end of the songs. Be is such an amazing album.
