Tae wrote & produced a masterpiece. I know that there were others who added as well as the rapline, but this was originally Tae's song intended for his mixtape. This songs grabs your heart & soul and encapsulates it!
...and they keep asking Tae why it's taking so long for him to release his mixtape! His songs are so good, they keep getting picked off... as OST's...for release like this... He is so gifted!

To me, this song is very much Taehyung's style and it's beautiful 💜
Tae wrote this song in English for his mixtape but when the members heard they said it had to be included so they changed it a little so it would fit in Korean
If you listen to Tae's solos he ALWAYS has an instrumental part. The production of this is SO him. Jimin and Jin said it was hard for them to sing low but Tae WANT THAT. All in this song is perfect. It was Tae's baby and him being in control of the production with his friends nive and levi was amazing. For me it was fresh to hear them with less autotune and effects.
I always prefer songs that has the voice in the center and has minimal production so i love this.

Kim Taehyung's song was initially written in english, released in "In the soop"1 serie . The company liked it and included in the album translated in korean !💜💜💜💜💜💜💙💙💙💙💙💙💙.

Blue & Grey is a masterpiece. Everything in it is perfection; from lyrics, to production, the vocals & rap. If this is anything to go by V's solo album is going to bring many to their knees. Can't wait to see what he brings forth.

I prefer MTV unplugged cause you can appreciate their vocals without any noise. But you might get blocked. You'll find videos of their performances too.
It's written and produced by V and it was planned to go in his mixtape!
Then the company liked it and it was selected for the album!
The rap part was by suga, which was selected by V. RM also wrote it, but since it was V's song he chose suga's saying it goes well with what he imagined.
The parts were also chosen by V and Jimin was complaining about how low they should go!
It is so perfect and so touching, the 1st time I heard it I was in tears even without knowing the lyrics because that's how raw it was and it was during the pandemic, really a difficult time and it hit home!
The production is so good I don't know how I'm going to cope up with his album!
He's just brilliant, uses the minimalistic approach but all his songs just hit to the core!
This was a masterpiece and my fav!

The MTV performance of this is crazy good!!! Also, Tae let us hear the original/demo (?) version - well, part of it - on In the Soop 1....it was so gorgeous.
I love when they share bits of the versions they went through (same with the third CD of Proof or Namjoon's V lives) because we get a glimpse of all the work and process their songs have behind
I still wonder if Tae shared his version with us just because he decided to leave it out of his mixtape/album (like he did with other songs) and then he shared it with the guys and they wanted it for BE, or it was the other way around. It wasn't clear for me from their interviews
I always wished that they had submitted this to this Grammys in some random category that they just couldn’t ignore it just a masterpiece so many music critics praised this song.
this would have gotten the exact same snub as what Black Swan did. 🤬

BE was my first comeback and I was still getting to know them - Jimin’s voice in this hit me like a ton of angel-coloured bricks! Instant favourite off the album although Fly To My Room is another I immediately loved. Dis-ease now as well.
Blue and Grey is such a beautiful song and a very special one for me as it made me Army because the moment I heard this song I completely fell in love😭❤️❤️

I remember watching a korean guy listening to the BE album when it first came out and when the heart beat section of Blue and Grey came on the song, he cried. It was his first time listening to BTS and I was like "same buddy, same". I have this song's lyrics "don't say it's ok because it's not ok" tattooed on me. Can't wait for V's mixtape considering all the songs he posted are "no" to his mixtape and they were all emotional bops (especially travel with me - why did it get cut ;A;) The heart beat makes it feel like a hug and you're listening to their chest. chef's kiss production.
Thank you for another great reaction. B&G is such a beautiful emotive song. Kudos to Taehyung. He plays a recording of his English demo of this song in a scene from In the SOOP season 1. It’s haunting.
Also want to point out the beautiful way it ended, specifically, the harp is a light lazy bright sound, kind of signaling dawn, but also sleepy. And the lyrics at that time mention falling asleep at dawn having been unable to rest all night. Just *chefs kiss*

This song made me cry so much when BE was released. It is indeed such a beautiful sad song.
this song just hits you soooooo hard, love it, cried my eyes out hearing it for the first time, still goves me chills every time, I love how you can feeel it is V's song, I also love that the rap line added their "flavour" too, I recommmend reading the story behind it, how the song cmae to be originally, what inspired V to write it etc.
I absolutely love this song. I already felt an attachment to it even before I got to read the lyrics. You can feeeeeeel the emotions bleeding through.
When this came out during the pandemic, I remember Jimin singing “I am singing by myself” and I burst into tears because I had felt so lonely and isolated for so long. He gave emotion to what I was feeling so perfectly.

The vocal range BTS vocal line has are so impressive ❣️. The four vocal line members have such amazing vocals ❤️.

BE album overall is so underrated in my opinion. On the B-sides on it are sooo amazing. Blue and Grey is definitely one of my favorite songs overall of BTS discography.

To be completely honest: at first Blue & Grey didn't spoke to me that much. It was a good song, I liked it but nothing more. But then... THEN... I saw it live (well, kind of - saw the concert via Global Theater Live Viewing) at Permission to Dance On Stage - Seoul. Loved it live soso much that I dove deep into the lyrics after the concert - loved it even more. It's one of my all time favorites now.

I loved Nive's explanation. It's a bit too long for reactors to check it "on camera" but I always recommend it to RUclipsrs with a production background to check it on their own time. Same with the ones by DJ Swivel, specially the masterclass for an university about Euphoria

I still don't understand how people still hate on "BE". It was literally BTS pouring out their raw emotions and feelings during the pandemic and the fact that it wasn't planned like their other previous albums but was made to literally cheer people up and it's still not appreciated enough😭😭😭

Tjat's why i love watching reactors. I like this sonf, but it seems like i never really had the time to go deep into the meaning. I know the lyrocs as i read translations while hearing the song. But now having a time listening and going deep into its meaning, th3 song has now x10000 impact on me

The producer made a video explaining the process. I hope it’s still up. Some stupid solos attacked him I think (I hate solos). But he explained the process and that he indeed added a heart beat!
