I am diabetic so I appreciate videos like this one that give simple recipes that satisfy my sweet tooth without blowing up my blood sugar. Many thanks!
I just made them, but added a few extra things, and OMG, they were delicious. Altogether, I used 1 cup of oats, a medium banana, 1/4 of apple sauce, 1/4 sweetened coconut shreds, 4 salted roasted cashews that I hammered down literally to crumbs, cinnamon, and topped the cookies with 5 white chocolate nubs. I ate too many of them lol. Next time, I am going to try them with 2 mejoule dates chopped up finely in place of the chocolate chip nubs for sweetness and cut down to 1/8 coconut shreds and leave out the nuts. I pressed them down thinner than shown in the video, but that was because I wanted them more chewy than soft. This is to cut down on calories. Might add some raisins. Finally, a dessert I really love. Thank you Anja!
This was perfect timing. Found an unopened jar of applesauce in the back of my pantry, rather past the sell-by-date and couldn't think what to do with it. Soon, it will be too hot here to turn the oven on. Can't wait to taste them tomorrow. Thanks.
Just what I needed! I was honestly about to start googling for healthy cookies recipes when I noticed my youtube notification on my phone, amazing and easy! thank you soooo much!!!!! ❤❤❤
I Anja, I recently found your channel and so glad that I did!!!!! I use rolled oats , for the first time, for your recipe and loved the simplicity of making these delicious cookies! I added organic raisins, organic cocoa powder, and organic coconut sugar and it was yummy. I only had unsweetened applesauce on hand, so that's why I added some extra stuff😂. Thank you for your awesome and simple recipes. I subscribed immediately and binge watched several episodes😂😂😂😂.
These are super delicious and super easy! I made them twice in one day, added a few more ingredients the next time, kids loved them all too. I actually used unsweetened and added some raisins and was very tasty. Thank you
Hi Anya. Just wanted to point out that in the recipe you listed in the description I think you mixed up the amounts of oats and applesauce. During the video you said it was 150g of oats and 80g of applesauce. Is there a way to tweak the recipe if you have unsweetened applesauce? Thanks.
I have used multiple mashed fruits to make cookies like this. I use less fruit and add salt and cashew butter sometimes. It gives it a different taste just for the sake of variety. Depending on which fruits you use, these are also dog friendly (not cashews though). I use peanut butter instead of cashews for the dogs cookies. Luckily, healthy fruits are on the list of things my dog loves
I don't make my earn applesauce but I know that it's available at the supermarket and you can even get unsweetened applesauce so it shouldn't be a problem. Even though the diet I'm oat doesn't allow erts, I love them and so I do have them occasionally.
Can’t figure out where to contact you other than here….do you know that MANY of your recipes are disappeared from your site, leaving only the titles and comments? The no oil cheeses and butters, all the recipes on your 10 junk food substitutes, macaroni and cheese, etc. Very frustrating as I loved some of those recipes and use print ones only, like thousand of others folks…don’t have time for videos. Also the search function there seems broken. Hope it all gets fixed soon!!!
I was really interested in this video but got bored with all the needless info such how healthy this product is and apple sauce options. What I wanted to find out was how to make the cookies, as in get straight to the point.

Fantastic additions! The base recipe is so versatile. Thanks for sharing your variation :-)
easy and yummy! I added chopped Marcona Almonds and succulent dried fruit bits. These are keepers!
I have made these with mashed bananas. 😋 Now I’ll try them with applesauce - great idea!
I didn't like those with mashed bananas. I'm not sure I'll try these. I'll see the feedback people will post. 😁
Enjoy!
We should definitely try them. We have lots of members that are loving cookies with oats 🥰

Perfect!
@@cookingwithplants It actually tastes better than granola, even with unsweetened applesauce. And it's much easier and quicker to make.

So glad it came up at the right time :-)

These are so easy and taste divine! I can't wait to try making them with banana!
Awesome! I added raisins, macadamia nuts, pecans and cashews and they were delicious. I didn't roll them though, I rolled them into balls. 😁👍🏽
That is awesome!
Looks like the perfect snack! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Thanks for making vegan so easy!

THANKS YOU GOODNESS 🌟 DAPHNE COTTON ALWAYS 💜, AWESOME
Thank you ❤
Good job
Thanks
Just wondering if mashed bananas could replace the applesauce?
I use a mixture of bananas and applesauce or cooked sweet potato and banana
Yes you can, I talk about that at the end of the video :-)
I don't usually purchase apple sauce. I wouldn't know how to use it. Is there anyway I can replace it with anything else?
I explain at the end of the video how you can use mashed banana
A couple of peeled cooked fresh apples
I don’t want to be that person but can I replace apple sauce with honey 🍯?
Also thanks for the recipe and great energy ❤
Did you say 80 g of applesauce? Or 18? I’m not familiar with gram measurements. Thank you.
80... the recipe is written below in the description :-)
Would love to try the cookies. Didnt hear your voice clearly.
I'm sorry but what can I add instead of apple sauce
Mash 2 ripe bananas.

Thanks nice
Most welcome
A little too much carbs for me so I did tahini and tiny bit applesauce
Can I use steel cut oats
I have added uncooked steel oats and it makes it to me like there's extra nuts in there!
I personally don't, but it should work
I was really interested in this video but got bored with all the needless info such how healthy this product is and apple sauce options. What I wanted to find out was how to make the cookies, as in get straight to the point.
Your voice is so far from the microphone can't listen clearly
sorry... I usually love your recipes... but these were tasteless, though I suppose healthy.
Maybe try adding in some extra mix ins like raisins, choc chips, peanut butter or cranberries.
Add more stuff to your liking
Don't bother...They turned out gummy; not worth making.
Thank you 😋
