**edit: My bad it’s not 60 lbs heavier 🤪** Which would you get? The 765 RS or the 675 R? Ok let's be honest, I don't need any more power :'D.I barely use all the one I got... but IF I did, here's why I would. Here's the longterm review on my Triumph Street Triple 4 675: bit.ly/TriumphStreetTripleRReview Or, to see a quick review on all the bikes I've test ridden (actually have added some more since then! Doodle On A Motorcycle quick question, saw this review:- ruclips.net/video/geIxu4MKgqo/видео.html Most of the others on the street triple R or RS seem to lean towards your thoughts! 😁. But a few say this as per the link. I’ve myself ridden one not long ago and seems pretty tame if the rider is sensible and rides within limits etc. your thoughts...
The 765 range is more extensive than the 675 was... The 675r had higher spec front forks and a different handlebar than the standard bike, but the power output was the same and it was just the two models. The 765, I can't actually remember the full range, I think there's 3 versions - 4 if we say that the low seat R model is its own. The RS is the highest spec of the new Street Triple range. It's not just smoother than the 675 (which was smooth and best in class!) but also has considerably more power. The 'R' has a bit less power than the 'RS', and the 'S' is actually a 660 and more for beginners getting their first big bike.
In 2017 I rode my son's 2012 Street Triple 675R for about 45 minutes in the north Georgia mountains. My ride that day was a 2017 Bonneville T-120 Black (beautiful, sounds great, and fun). I purchased the T-120 after taking the rider safety course because I had not ridden for about forty years. I fought the impulse for about two months then bought a 2018 Street Triple 765R. I find that I ride the 765R about 4 times more than the T-120 (I like the 400 pounds Street Triple compared to the 550 pound T-120 and that I don't scrap the pegs on the Street like I do on the T-120). Now at 68 (2020) I get some much needed exercise when I ride the Street Triple.
I've been commuting my 765 for 2 years and its an excellent bike. It does everything you want it to do and has the power when you need it! 100% recommend it. Great video!
Just picked up the 2020 RS yesterday and been LOVIN IT! Honestly could have been one of the bikes you guys rode. it was a cpo with about 700 on the clock.
Thanks again and thanks for all your mid level bike reviews. I have watched with interest to supplement test rides which have been hard to lock down with COVID, supply issues down under, weather and work. After a second test ride today I have ridden away on a 2020 Street Triple R with a few thousand Kms on the clock. Low seat version in grey with all the usual add-ons. Beautiful bike and as you always say so smooth even at very low speeds. The quick shifter is outstanding! I am so excited. Thanks again for your friendly, fun and down to earth videos and replies which have helped my prolonged decision. Go well Doodle!

I tippy toed my entire 50 years on motorcycles and I have to say I am super happy to finally feel the ground under my heels when I roll to a stop, especially on uneven ground. Congrats on your recent shout out from MC Rider! Regards from🇨🇦

I have 30" inseam and never have had any problem reaching the ground with only one foot.
@ I'm not sure how. "Where to start and stop". Everything I see regarding measuring inseam is subjective to where you want the pants to sit so 31 on some and 32 riding all the way up so to speak I guess.
Nice video all the way around. I thought of you a couple days ago when I helped a Triumph Street Triple guy who rear-ended the spare tire (with a BIG YELLOW 😀 cover!) on a Jeep at a freshly-turned-green light.. Don't worry, no injuries and he did not drop it. Just a bruised ego! Dented front wheel, blown tire, broken off headlights, maybe front end damage. Beautiful bike. He'll ride again after some more safety training. I only knew about the bike because of your videos. Ride safe!
She said maybe you wanna get both, and yes I do want to go through the line of STR's history. Not going too far back, but far enough to have the three models I've liked so far. The 2010, the 2016 and the 2020 maybe in the future. May not have them at the same time but that bike has made me feel happy and there is such good reviews of it. I want to go out on them already. Thank you doodle for always showing your side and people who comment back on this if anyone stills watches an old video from her like I always do about the STR 😇
Hi doodle, I always find your videos so interesting, full of information, not always available elsewhere, like this comparison between your 675 R and the 765 RS, with your considerable experience from test riding so many bikes, you're a trusted source for good advice.
Wow, Doodle, this is an excellent comparison between the two bikes! This should help a lot of people who are considering one of these for their daily ride decide which bike would be the best for them.
Triumph has very handsome bikes. They have stayed in their own thinking of what a bike is to look like and perform. They’ve kept up with performance and technology. They have awesome bikes
In 2012 I bought the new model of the street triple. On Saturday I did a testride and on sundaymorning I went back and bought it. The fun I had with that bike back then, a big smile on my face the whole time, something u will recognise 😛. 5 years later I bought my lovely Daytona. Last weekend I had the chance to ride the new 765RS... 😍😍 what a machine, now I remember why, 7 years ago I fell in love with the street triple. This one’s even better. The power the ratio, pffffff pure pure fun.
Is it better? The engine is better, of course... on the way of riding, it’s hard to compare because these are two different bikes. My first bike was a Honda cbr600F. Then I bought the street triple. I drove it for 5 years, but I never had the body position or the riding style, if u know what I mean then when I was riding with my Honda. After 5 years I bought my Daytona : same engine as the street triple, but now after 2, 3 years, love it. Last year kneedown I was so happy u know what I mean... smile all the way my face 😜... last weekend I drove the new street the way I ride my daytona, body shifting, knee out, u know? This is what I was missing when I was riding my street triple 8 years ago.
@@danielstreettriple Absolutely! Your English is great. I currently have the BMW S1000R (which is a great bike) but I think I am ready for a change. Thank you for responding so quickly.

Picked up the matte black 2020 765 RS a little over two weeks ago just before my state went on shutdown due to Covid-19. Was able to rack up 250 miles in three days and then have ridden it sparingly (since the shut down). I just love this bike and glad I got the 2020 version from last year's. I'm only 5'7" with a 29.5" inseam and have gotten used to planting on one leg when stopped. I straighten the bike back up and set both toes down on the ground just before taking off.
Doodle, you're always out there, pushing yourself past your comfort zone! You are plucky, determined, and stubborn. And I admire that about you! Keep on keepin' on, Girl ;-)
I’m thinking about getting a street triple. I have a Kawasaki z400 now and I feel like the 675 R will be a good next step up for me. It looks like a lot of fun!
Great video Lady! The 765 will knock your socks off! Peace Lady! It's not the same engine as the Daytona but very close. I have ridden both. The Daytona 765 is INSANE!!! The Street triple is also crazy but not the same as the moto engine...
@gillan64 Honestly, I couldn't put my finger on one thing tbh. The multiple of changes made added up to make a better bike imo. On the whole, it just felt a lot more alive than the 675...more exciting and engaging to ride.
Love my ‘18 765R. Almost every time I’m out on the weekend, I “hit it” and hit triple digits. I’m almost able to start commuting again on mine. Will never get rid of it. I will just add to the stable.
I went from a big liter bike (yamaha R1M) to the '14 Street Triple R (just picked it up, and immediately fell in love with this bike). I"m about 6 feet tall and its a confy bike, and in most situation, may be funner bike to ride (or at least it feels that way) than the R1M.; crazy, I know. Its way better for town riding, and long trips as well, (didn't realy ride more than 2-3 hours on the super sport). Would have looked for a 765, but from what I could tell, the 675 is plenty good, and I do like that specific look of the 2014-16 model years myself (didn't hurt that I got an amazing deal on a bike that was low mileage and treated well--looks brand new!)
I watch Noraly, and I watch Kinga. I have to say that Doodle is the one who makes me actually THINK SERIOUSLY about trying a bike; and I'm in my 50s. I really like listening to her perspectives/insights around biking. Plus, those triumphs look beautiful.
That RS was on my list... But I could not get a local test ride before I was thrown the keys to a Ducati for a test ride. I rode an 821, but bought a used 1200S. Great video as always. Keep em coming. I hope to see you in the mountains later today. Heading up to rte 348...

Love your video's Doodle.. I am a new rider with an R3. I am almost certain I am going for a 2020 Triumph Street Triple R or RS. I really hate they removed the TFT in the R for 2020. The RS has some other upgraded features for about $2000 over the R. Stay safe and healthy!
hey. the 765 and the 675 weigh roughly about the same. they use the same engine and should feel almost the same when sitting on them. the speed triple is the one that is actually 60lbs heavier and is a bigger bike in general with a 1050cc engine.
came back from my testride of the street triple r. wooow. what an addictive motor and bike. now i know why you have one of this. :-) when you want something sporty that is still capable to ride comfy with, that´s a gooooood choice. am still hyped by this experience :-) Greetingz and ride safe \m/
Good video. Your next challenge Miss Doodle, is to work out how to get a wind proof microphone mounted near the tail of your exhaust pipe. When people watch motorcycle footage, that's what they want to hear, nothing but exhaust note and no wind roar. You can do your voice overs in post editing and voila, you have movie standard videos!
Hey girl... Great job! Kim who rides track with STT in the Michigan area has a street triple, I have watched that bike devour asphalt on 5 separate tracks. I believe I'd find an older 675 to enjoy a curvy track like Grattan on July 17, 18, 19th. My Aprilia RSV4 RF LE gets Labor day weekend at Autobahn raceway in Illinois. One location... 3 tracks! You know, to stretch her liter long legs!🤣 I love raceway weekends. I get there the day before and set up camp, then it's Driver"s meeting 3 days in a row... and camping! 🤩 See, there IS a God! Burn rubber, not your soul.
Wow, Doodle, your sound was better than ever! Nice work! And, very good comparison between the two bikes. Thanks for getting this uploaded! I wonder about a possible video concerning riding and the coronavirus. Any thoughts?
awesome video, nice to see you learning/sharing about all the difference in riding a motorcycle. The 765 RS is an awesome bike a lot of Moto2 tech is in that ride. ...but I need that SPEED triple torque
Had a friend with a 650 V Strom and he mentioned trading it for a 1000. I asked him if he every twisted the throttle wide open on the 650 and found it lacking. He said he never revved it wide open and never got near the red line. I convinced him that he already had more power than he needed. 🏍
Hi Doodle, to tall can be worked on, just takes time and learning good balance. The lines on both are perfect. Looks amazing on track or streets. Everywhere. Fast nimble exiting. Just a all around perfect look. Anyone would be happy with it. Man, woman doesn't matter. I dream of someday having something like that. Oh and thos motorcycles are nice to. Lol love ya!!
If you change in the future, I think the 765R would be a better bet for you than the 765RS. It has more comfortable suspension and is tuned for a little more mid range performance instead of the racy top end power of the RS. The RS is really set up for track day hero's. Don't let me dictate anything though, it's just my opinion and what I would choose for me (and you). You should try the R as well. having said that; there's nothing wrong with yours either. A fantastic bike.
One of the things I miss now days is the row power of a 750cc two stroke engine, if you ever get the Chance ride one, you will not be Sorry Doodle ! Chris London England.
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle I would go with, but this is my personal opinion, KAWASAKI, the Old R7, Or I to say my favourite, because I had one, and had it rebuild to close to Race Stock YAMAHA Gennersis , to go round Brands Hatch Race track and it 165mph on the Strate, I was surprised She got up to that Speed, but I did have a go on the R7, and I could see why in it's Day it was one of the best bikes in the World Super Bikes Championships, but don't take my Word for it, I have only been Riding since 16 years Old and now I am 60, but once it gets in your blood it doesn't go away ! If I was going to buy a Classic bike, It would be the One my First Wife had, She when from a YAMAHA RD 250cc pass her test 1000z then in 1980 CBR1000F, I ended up having a Company one to use for Dispatch in the end, after they first gave me a Honda 400N , not good for long Runs, I say that because in one year I put 24000 miles on her in the first year, the next year only 15000, but I think they new I was not going to they if I was spending so much time on the bike, and not getting home till late at night Night, but I am yet again going on and on Sorry ! Chris London England.
Just got the Striple 660 here in NZ. I’ll admit, I let out a squeal every time I open her up. Loving it! If you ever get down here (post Coronavirus lol) let’s go for a ride round the South Island. It’s quite nice. Also, didn’t realise you were that small, good work on the camera angles.
i dont really like naked sport bikes but the 765 and the mt10 has changed my mind. When are we gonna get a review of what you think of an 2020 r1??? "the tip toe" review!
Upright naked bikes are the best for street/canyon riding IMO. Every time I've had a chance to ride one of my friends' supersports(whether it was the GSXR750 or CBR954RR), I come away with the idea that those bikes are just silly for street riding. The riding position isn't something I want to deal with for more than 20 or 30 minutes. Maybe I need to take one up in the canyons, but certainly not something that seems practical for everyday riding.
Its very common after owning a mid powered bike for a few years, that you feel there's not enough power when you blip the throttle. Especially when you try a more powerful bike. You feel like your missing something, and yes, less experienced riders usually never use all the power of their bikes. Just understand, a very powerful bike, can turn out to be just too much for everyday riding. Especially if they have twitchy throttles, that really make the bike jump with the slightest turn. FWIW. Ride carefully.
You may want the 765RS, but have you checked the insurance rates on the two bikes? I know each jurisdiction is different - I purchased a used 675R last year and my annual insurance was around $700. My insurance provider told me the rate on the a 2019 765R (not even RS) would be over $2000. Where I live, there is a huge jump when you get over 700cc, may be much less onerous where you are. Had them same thing with insurance on the 790 Duke, rate on that was around $1800. Also, are you sure about the 31" inseam? I'm 5'10", inseam 32", feet flat on the ground with knees slightly bent on my 675R.
If you can't decide between the 675R and the 765RS give the 765R a test ride, I've got the 2018 765R (I'm awaiting delivery of the 2020 R) ,IMO the R is a better all round road bike with slightly softer suspension and a better mid range than the RS, If I done regular track days (8 to 10 a year) I'd go for the RS but for me it's slightly too harsh for everyday use. incidentally you keep your little 675R in superb order.
I want to buy 2020 street triple rs but i don’t like the colors, do you guys think 2021 model will have different colors? and when it will be in the market? Does it worth waiting?

@Doodle On A Motorcycle Hi! I'd like to ask you if the riding positions on your street Triple Is higher than the street Triple 2020 that you had tried. Thanks a lot! Bye!
I get that these are the bikes you get to ride but the comparison seems really odd, especially that there is a 765R for a direct comparison vs the old 675R
It's because I own the 675 R and just test rode the 765 RS and recently hear people ask what the difference is between the two and why get one over the other when they are so close in cc
So i recently got on a 22 765 rs and flat footed with a tiny bit of heel raise im a 5'5 woman with 31 inch inseam. It was not as much as her. If anyone needs im also petit 130lbs.

I rode the new 765 RS a couple days ago, vast improvement over the 675...Plus the quick shift/blip...smooth as 👍🏻
@gillan64 Honestly, I couldn't put my finger on one thing tbh. The multiple of changes made added up to make a better bike imo. On the whole, it just felt a lot more alive than the 675...more exciting and engaging to ride.
OK you got me convinced on going lite and nimble for riding in the mountains, glad I got a Honda Monkey!
Bahahhaa woot woot!!!
Love my ‘18 765R. Almost every time I’m out on the weekend, I “hit it” and hit triple digits. I’m almost able to start commuting again on mine. Will never get rid of it. I will just add to the stable.
Between you and me... I’ve never hit triple digits 🤪 and I accidentally went the fastest I’ve ever gone on this 765 it’s so dang smooth
Very Informative - Thank You
Great down to earth review doodal regards Anthony from down under
Good advice. Nice to hear real world feedback from shorter riders.
I watch Noraly, and I watch Kinga. I have to say that Doodle is the one who makes me actually THINK SERIOUSLY about trying a bike; and I'm in my 50s. I really like listening to her perspectives/insights around biking. Plus, those triumphs look beautiful.
awww!!
That RS was on my list... But I could not get a local test ride before I was thrown the keys to a Ducati for a test ride. I rode an 821, but bought a used 1200S. Great video as always. Keep em coming. I hope to see you in the mountains later today. Heading up to rte 348...
See everyone here up and down over and over till I know my new ride. Going to put new mirrors on and i am there...

Just picked up the 2021 R. Such a great versatile bike
Yay so excited for you!
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle Sadly this Covid-19 is Motoblocking me as I want to go shopping and buying one now.
hey. the 765 and the 675 weigh roughly about the same. they use the same engine and should feel almost the same when sitting on them. the speed triple is the one that is actually 60lbs heavier and is a bigger bike in general with a 1050cc engine.
same engine?
Yeah it's the same motor just bored out for more cc
@@Supermofo338 well it has more power and more torque so I would not say it is the same engine
According to Triumph it's a completely re-designed motor, although obviously has similarities. :>)
You are down to earth try the new 900 that would go good with your 675 or speed 3 stay safe and keep smiling
came back from my testride of the street triple r. wooow. what an addictive motor and bike. now i know why you have one of this. :-)
when you want something sporty that is still capable to ride comfy with, that´s a gooooood choice.
am still hyped by this experience :-)
Greetingz and ride safe \m/
I know it!!!
Your doin great. Enjoy watching ur vids. Thanks 👍
Dang it doodle you're making me want a street triple now!!
Oooooh snap!! :'D
My busted voice recorder happened right before that Triumph Immersion trip!
Hey girl...
3 tracks!
You know, to stretch her liter long legs!🤣
I love raceway weekends. I get there the day before and set up camp, then it's Driver"s meeting 3 days in a row...
and camping! 🤩 See, there IS a God!
Burn rubber, not your soul.
Lol. 4.10..The smile on ur face when u explained cracking the throttle on the 765...priceless ✌️
Wow, Doodle, your sound was better than ever! Nice work! And, very good comparison between the two bikes. Thanks for getting this uploaded! I wonder about a possible video concerning riding and the coronavirus. Any thoughts?
Hmmm.... could be good if I've got something y'all would appreciate listening to! :D
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle I learned many decades ago to listen to everything you say!
Terrible at winking lol, I love seeing your enthusiasm for riding.
Bahhahah I got it from my momma
awesome video, nice to see you learning/sharing about all the difference in riding a motorcycle. The 765 RS is an awesome bike a lot of Moto2 tech is in that ride. ...but I need that SPEED triple torque
I bought the RS for my husband, but I probably ride it more than him. It's a blast to ride and the fit & finish is top notch!
LOL that’s awesome!
If you ever divorce your husband, I'm available... :)
Andy Satch Haha, no divorcing here. ❤️
I just picked up my 2021 765 RS last week :)
EEEEEEEE awesome!!!
Grew up with a friend who had a 750 Trident an we'd swap bikes once an a while an was Bad to the Bone, good wheelies machine
Love my 2015 Striple, but am itching for a little bit more power. Upgraded brakes and suspension sounds nice too.
Had a friend with a 650 V Strom and he mentioned trading it for a 1000. I asked him if he every twisted the throttle wide open on the 650 and found it lacking. He said he never revved it wide open and never got near the red line. I convinced him that he already had more power than he needed. 🏍
Love the way you say Mountains!
🤪
Omg doodle I was searching for a new naked bike and I saw your video. I have a dominican friend who looks just like you! ☺️
Omg that’s awesome!! 😅 maybe we’re related 🤪 it’s a small island
Great video fantastic bike I have the triumph speed triple rs and speed twin but love the triumph 675🇬🇧👍🏻
Oooooh you’ve got a sweet couple
Hopefully you’ll get a shot at the new RS, in red…I’m not biased at all. 👍🇨🇦🤪
The 4 dislikes should watch something else. You are great! I love your input Doodle. You are the best!
MCRider recommended you. Subbed, no hesitation!!
My hearrrrtttttt is overflowingggg ❤️❤️
What a great channel
Hi Doodle, to tall can be worked on, just takes time and learning good balance. The lines on both are perfect. Looks amazing on track or streets. Everywhere. Fast nimble exiting. Just a all around perfect look. Anyone would be happy with it. Man, woman doesn't matter. I dream of someday having something like that. Oh and thos motorcycles are nice to. Lol love ya!!
Crazyrebl haha I almost spit out my drink!!
I love your voice doodle... freaking adorable...
That’s a first 🤪
If you change in the future, I think the 765R would be a better bet for you than the 765RS.
The R certainly doesn't have more midrange than the RS.
Love the video good information... Very correct and positive... Heard you just fine... Thanks... Much love...
Hello, where did you buy your frame protection. I have a 2022 street triple rs
The best reason to get the new 765 is that the DR headlights make it look very angry so people will know to get out of your way
Bahahaha exactly
can you test the Aprilia shiver 900 and give us your opinion about that bike please
This New spees triple is amazing
One of the things I miss now days is the row power of a 750cc two stroke engine, if you ever get the Chance ride one, you will not be Sorry Doodle ! Chris London England.
Like which one??
Thank you so much for your reply, I do love your Chanal your love for riding and the way you talk to us, you make us feel part of your team ? If you know what I mean. Chris London England.
Nice 👍🏽 review really!!!
OOOOH snap!! not a bad idea!! :D
That thruxton RS pic tho... 😍
geeeet ready!! :D :D :D
Definitely going to get one
YASSSSS!!!!!
This girl is cool in mindset and every other way! :)
That's a cool toy ya got there. I'm a little jealous.
Isn’t it a cutie?? 😁
great review the 765 is a speed demon lol my RS tuned is a bull
In my country, Triumph Street Triple RS and Kawasaki Ninja 1000sx fall under the same price bracket, so which one do you recommend?
Yea! girls inseams are inches longer than guys!
Ive got classic style bike Honda Tmx 125cc and im happy to ride with him and i feel free to myself like a bird .
I want to buy 2020 street triple rs but i don’t like the colors, do you guys think 2021 model will have different colors? and when it will be in the market? Does it worth waiting?
Probably! But i think it's more worth getting it used and getting it wrappe d in colors of your choice!
Doodle
I just bought the 765 Daytona! The Moto 2 gp engine is awesome! 1 month away from a summer of knee down!
You're probably not in the USA?
Ooooooh awesome!!
What is the horse power of these bikes? The only thing i have with 3 cyliders has a propeller on it.
G’day, new sub, loved this review.....love my triple, but really want to know what luggage setup that is on your 675?
i don't recommend that brand!! just got new ones similar but sturdier - these ones bit.ly/ALSaddleBags
Ms. Doodle... We're under lockdown as of Sunday here in the Big 🍎
Very...very depressing. Already the city looks like a ghost town. Tomorrow I'll take a ride perhaps but not sure where...not a pretty picture 😷
Stay/ride safe and telecommute if you can. I am.
As well as tele...dating because that's the best way of practicing social distancing😂
Che bella vita 🎶...
@Doodle On A Motorcycle
Hi! I'd like to ask you if the riding positions on your street Triple Is higher than the street Triple 2020 that you had tried.
Thanks a lot!
Bye!
No it felt just as upright as mine! 😁 really comfy
Doodle.. were those crash bars on your bike already installed when you purchased the bike or you added on? If so, what brand? I love how they look.
it's the SW motech bars! :D although I added the R&G racing knobs later b/c they were too narrow
@@DoodleOnAMotorcycle Ok... I was looking at SW Motech bars for my new Tiger 1200.. I think I'll get them now.. Thank you 😊.
Insurance cost shouldn't matter, just get a Liter bike. Love that POWER!
LOL
