You got that right Jerry. I thought the tengujo on top of the spine would hold the cover together but it didn’t in certain spots. Next time, the whole spine! Appreciate you very much.
Looks amazing Professor! In my opinion, the paper color is perfection. No need to bleach it any beyond the lightening that occurs with deacidification. Love it!
Yes, you are right about that. I do agree, for a full bath, the entire spine should be done. It was a rash decision thinking the tengujo will secure the still attached parts but too much manipulation and got a split in some areas that were easy fixes. In the future definitely. Thanks for stopping by Michael.
Professor! That came out fantastic very impressive! Yes, I concur with you on leaf casting the whole spine!
Thank you Captain. Appreciate it. Yes, definitely will do that in the future!
Very nice results. I will listen to your advice about the spine. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching, Don, and appreciate the feedback!
Looks awesome Peter! Great job! As I have been saying the whole spine or nothing!

Thank you Dr Paul, I agree, too white isn’t nice on these older books. Appreciate you!
If you are going to get the book truly wet, then it probably is better to do the entire spine/weak areas. Thank you for showing your process.
