My mum had a vintage perfume bottle with the squeezy ball spray. I think it was a delicate pink and gold colour. It's nice to think back to those pretty things.
Absolutely lovely! I love the shabby chic style and as far as dress forms are concerned, I adore it. Dress forms. Last year I created mini dress forms out of toilet paper rolls to create little dresses for Christmas ornaments. But I am crazy about dress forms. I currently have five dress forms in my house, one of which is an a working plus size dress form for me to make my clothes when I have time. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration! I absolutely adore those molds and I'm going to get them as soon as possible thank you😊
Thanks sweet friend. I wished I still sewed as much as you do. In a few years I’m going to teach my granddaughter to sew. I already have a vintage Singer basic sewing book to help her to learn. I have a child’s mannequin bust that I hang my favorite necklaces on. Hope you’re doing well sweet friend. Oh, I’m try to work on an “Alice” Christmas project in honor of you. Sending hugs💕
Hello Myra, to answer your questions, my Mom who is now 91 did have a beautiful dresser with so many gorgeous vintage antique perfume bottles like yours. One reason she had so many is my parents owned an antique store and many items were in our home. She also had a dress form because all summer long she sewed the school clothes for the 4 of us girls. The 4 boys, she didn't sew for. I like my Mom too, would sew my daughters Sunday dresses. My daughter is now 40 and hates dresses. I love the shadow box, it's gorgeous and all the details within it reminds me of my mother and the things she had. I love the cosmetic bag with the transfer. Oh I also have only one antique perfume bottle with the squeeze ball, don't know what it's called. I would love those molds with the head figures. I still sew and I'm thinking of making a vintage apron. Thank you for sharing these projects and the lovely stories.
Hey sweet friend. Thanks so much. I think we have led parallel lives. My mom sewed for me until I was 8 and started making my own dresses. I made smocked clothes for my kids for as long as they would let me. At some point I want to teach my granddaughters how to sew. It seems to be a lost art these days. Have a fabulous Sunday 💕💕💕
I love all of these.❤ I think my favorite is the black and white portrait. You called them hands....my first thought was that they were gloves. I have some of my grandmother's gloves and purfume bottles. Now I have some ideas for displaying them. Thank you
Do I love vintage perfume bottles? You bet I do. I have a gorgeous pale pink one from my sister’s collection. The shadow box is gorgeous. The hands represent glove. I love the face piece. I’m a bit late but I had to make sure I watched it. Hugs, have a great week. 😊❤
Thanks sweet friend. I didn’t even think about them being gloves. Silly me. We must be somewhat twins as we like the same things. Hugs back and hope you have a good week too💕
So pretty. Love that shadow box. Omg love perfume bottles and dress forms. My grandmother not mom ever had pretty perfume bottles but growing up in WV every one was very poor so they really had to prioritize
I completely understand. My grandmother had 11 kids so I’m not sure if she ever wore perfume. Then growing up my family didn’t have a lot but had what we needed. My first perfume was Windsong which I think all teenage girls had in the 70s. Now I rarely wear it since I’m retired. I think I love the bottles because I love everything vintage. Have a great Sunday sweet friend💕💕💕
Luv Luv Luv this shadow box. I've 2 mini perfume 🍾 bottles adorned w gems & pearls from the early 90s. id LUV older like urz❤ to go w my lipstick holder! I also have 2 mannequins...so luv them both, but obviously bottles take up way LESS room😊
I have a child’s mannequin bust that I decoupaged music pages to it. Sometime I’ll share that in a video. I have my favorite necklaces on it. Thanks for watching 💕💕💕
Love dress forms and vintage perfume bottles..I found a male dress form from a listing long ago..turned him into a ghoul for Halloween ❤..awesome looking shadow box
Hello Myra. All 3 are beautiful. Yes, love antique perfume bottles. My great grandmother had some and I always admired them. Look forward to see what's in your next video! Where are you finding all your awesome transfers and molds? When I check Amazon the same old molds pop up. The transfers are usually very small and not a lot of choices. It was good to see you. Take care and God bless 😊
I get my Zuri moulds and transfers from MAIKA Daughters. There is a link in the description box. Also Thymeless Designs transfers are from Amazon. Thanks sweet friend 💕
Those are the best kind when you can find a good deal. I like to make up stories about the life of the person it belonged too. I do have quite an imagination sometimes. Have a great Sunday sweet friend 💕💕💕
I think all of these diys are so pretty, but the shadowbox is my favorite. My mom had a perfume bottle with the squeeze ball and I remember her using it to spray perfume on herself. I found it very interesting to watch her when I was a child. What happened to the perfume bottle, I have no idea.
Hi Myra. My mum used to have one of those perfume bottles and actually I did too when I was younger. My first husband made us move to so many different places that I lost so much stuff and unfortunately that was one of my things that I lost. I love all these, they are beautiful but I think my favourite is the shadow box, it’s gorgeous. Enjoy your day Myra. I’m just letting you know that I sent you an email.
I LOVE your style. Absolutely beautiful. I love Shabby Chic and I LOVE dress forms too. I am obsessed with dress forms. Where did your granddaughter get the dress form? I collect them and actually made one from chicken wire.❤
Hey Myra, I'm sorry your video wouldnt upload! I don't understand it. People often upload long videos. So frustrating! Your shadow box is absolutely my favorite and I love that little dress form. Do you know where it came from? I have a full size vintage dress form...but it is not pretty! I'm looking forward to seeing the othet half of your video!
Hey sweet friend. Thanks so much. I’ve got the girls this weekend so on Tuesday I’m go to see if the problem is my computer or it could be I live in the country and don’t always have the best internet service. I added the link to the dress form in the description box. My granddaughter likes to put her Barbie clothes on it💕
