  • Not a regular Klinkhammer hook. Rather an interesting one.

    Fantastic! I'd never have thought to use a jig hook for an emerger, as soon as i pick one up i can't help reaching for the slotted tungsten beads! Great videos, thanks for taking the time to make and share them.

      Thanks, glad you like it. However, this is not true jig hook, i am sure it can be used for nymphs , i have an idea for it as well 😀
      Its dolphin shank hook ment to be used for emergers. 🍻

    Beautiful craftsmanship and fly. Thank you. Cheers.
    How important is the hackle color? Do you tie this in other colors besides black? I tie most of my parachutes with pink. Is that an obstacle in your opinion? I have white also. I usually see the pink easier.

    • @Oholisfliesandfishing
      @Oholisfliesandfishing  6 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you so much. Emerger bodies i tie in several colors. Natural almost always. So brown, olive, yellow...as for post. White was the most common one, recently i switched to grey. But, i used fluo posts and still do when light is tough. My priority is to see the fly easily. If i dint see it all the time i dont feel i am doing presentation well. And i believe presentation is above everything else.

    Very nice pattern and tying Vladimir...sits well and attractively in the water...do you / need to apply any floatant to the post material when actually fishing this fly ?...thanks for sharing

      Thank you. Its pretty buoyant as it is. But for very fast water i apply floatant to hackle and post. I pay attention not to grease body

    Great fly. I do like a tag on a klink, I always imagine it could resemble a small bubble of air forming where the shuck start to come away. Did you see the American guy who furls the post? I quite like that method for any posted flies now.

    • @Oholisfliesandfishing
      @Oholisfliesandfishing  6 месяцев назад

      Hi, thank you so much. I saw someone recently. Was it tightlinevideos? Why do you prefer furled ones?

    • @robgreen6697
      @robgreen6697 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@Oholisfliesandfishing Tim Flagler from tightlinevideos yes that’s it. I like the rigidity of the furled post and how it helps head cement soak down and keep everything snug. Wrapping the hackle from the base up also gives a nice clean base of the hackle. I ordered some dolphin bend hooks after seeing your video as well I‘ll be tying some of these patterns hope to use them at the Krimmler Ache in summer.
