Hey Taryl it's Joe. Your Promoter. I love All The Wiring And Switch control. That's Exactly How I Planned On Wiring My Old Car For Years now. I Just need to do it. I' planned on doing it the Exact same way. The only thing you did that Can Be improved Are. Great big Turn signals in the front. GOOD 👍 BUT Itty Bitty Rear Turn Lights. BAD. THEY DON'T MATCH THE FRONT. You Need some kind of Bigger rear Turn and Stop Lights. They Make The Same Light For the rear AS YOU have in the Front Exept. It's Brake and turn instead of headlight and turn. You need those. Look much nicer. PUT The Bigger Ones In The Wood. Near the top. Will be neat in part two
You need the diodes when you have one indicator bulb on the dash for both blinkers. Since both blinkers are connected together at that bulb, without the diodes you would power all 4 blinkers on either a left or right signal. I discovered these diodes on my motorcycle when the (one) dash bulb wouldn't blink on a left signal, only a right, but the actual blinkers worked fine. Turns out the diode for the left side had failed. Awesome videos btw Taryl and crew, I always look forward to the next one.
hey @Taryl and fam, fellow hoosier here, I have never met another guy who has taken up sewing for the sole purpose of refabbing car/bike/utv pieces haha. i have a few nice patterns if you are interested: Arm rests/center console/e-brake lever.
Watching your videos on your channel gave me the motivation to repair all the junk I've aquired over the years people gave me. Repaired a Toro 2stroke snow blower, two push lawn mowers, 1 chinese pitbikes and 1 japanese pitbikes, and the current project of resurrecting a 1986 suzuki 250 2wd quad runner. Thanks Taryl
Taryl, if you turn or grind off the flange on one of those plastic bushings, you could put it in the bottom of your tube and support it at both ends. Just sayin.
If you come to Dubuque, you better bring this along. I'm looking forward to it. It was your videos, that help me keep limp a 21 year old lawn mower along until I could afford a new one. They are very informative, and entertaining I look forward to Sunday morning.
I'm amazed at how Heald repurposed parts from other vehicles they make. The parking brake lever on the Hauler is the same as the footy pegs on my Heald Super Bronc.
Very good demonstration of wiring know how. Wish I had more of this kind of knowledge. Thanks for saving this nice hauler. A special interest vehicle made better.
Years ago, my father bought two of these that were not working and ended up with one running and a pile of junk. He had lots of fun on the farm with it.
Looks great Taryl. Great fix-ups. Looking forward to the wrap-up!! I wanted to say at minute @40:30... don't use those "taps" that cut into the insulation with a strip. I use those POSI-TAP connectors for my motorcycles. They work so well, and don't rip up your wires too much (only punch a little hole).
I have been watching you for years!I have a 1968 Aermacchi Harley Davidson M65. A 50CC 2 stroke I want you to get running. It has compression and fuel. Can't get it to fire. New oem points condenser and coil. Your about a 4 hour drive from Louisville KY. You could do a video on it if you want. I've been wanting to ride it about 2 years now. 😆
Love seeing your innovative problem solving and fixes. Very good stuff and can't wait for the next video : ) Thank You & Camera Man for saving us from watching regular tv!!
Terrell great job but I think you said you had some white ones put some white ones in there for backup lights okay this is Bob from Vero Beach Florida God bless have a great day and stay safe
Thank you taryal for sharing your time on this project, all your videos have so much knowledge for us, always looking forward to your videos, you give us all encouragement to go forth and try to engineer things as you do, thank you your family and friends, that all make these videos possible, and you to Mr camera man, thank you
I think was a good idea to convert to led lighting. I did this with my pickup and I am happy with the results. Especially with a small vehicl like the Heald, it's important to see and be seen. Cool little hauler.
Taryl, just a thought, you should have a cover for that rear micro switch 3D printed so you can seal it against the majority of dirt and other contaminants. Save you some trouble down the road, and having to replace the micro switch repeatedly
Taryl, can I suggest toggle clamps instead of the barrel clamp? They will clamp the side to the front and keep them solid as if one piece. I use them on my SxS to keep the tilt bed down.
I'd have to go to junior college to learn how to operate that baby. I'm down with the air horn, HobbyMotor. Maybe a Briggs powered air compressor mounted under the box. With a air dryer too. HEY DUMMY, YOUR PARKING BRAKE IS ON!!!! WHAT, I CAN'T HEAR YOU BECAUSE OF THIS DARN BUZZER!!!!
You need to make a video on an original untouched IH built 782 , 982, or a Walker diesel. 90 percent of your videos are on home owner mowers. They are educational and entraining videos as we all love ya Tarly!!
Hey Taryl They make LED and Old back up bulbs that have a alarm in them when they light up , you can see and hear to back up. I put them in my Mom's Minivan she was famous for backing in to trees' cars and people ! It was useful and entertaining when she would back up, The older she got the more she had a potty mouth! Ha Ha!
I LOVE that little mav/mag light you got on the dash for your hauler :D The headlights are also very nice as well - especially when you consider the awesome price you got them for (NICE!!!!) I cannot wait to see this baby transformed!!! Keep up the great work Taryl and gang!! :)
Instead of using that nibbler - you may want to think about getting those nice newer dremels that are totally portable. Those are great for sheet metal - the cutting heads are varied in size and work well - highly accurante - clean cuts - easy to use. Then the sanding heads are good for giving that nice finish. Plus it is WAY lighter / smaller than that massive cumbersome drill. They even got attachments that allows you to use a pen like instrument for even finer work where being extremely nimble is made easy. Some come in nice kits where it will have a nice big one that you plug into an outlet - and along with it a smaller portable battery powered one. Even the big plug in one is much smaller than that massive drill and head tool you used / LOTS of power.
Looks like you are really using the side cutters I sent you for your birthday! I tried calling to buy you lunch but my out of state area code never gets answered,I understand. I may have to travel to Podunk when all this Virus stuff settles down. Thanks for everything Taryl. You are my favorite mechanic, after Me and Edd China- He has a real british accent and surprisingly better teeth
Ill give ya a tip for when you trim those cables. add some flux to the cable end and solder it with a torch. It'll keep it from fraying and being annoying later. Love your channel btw!
When you replace the turn signal bulbs in your car with led's, you put a resistor in to make it have a load so it blinks. Just look up "turn signal resistor" It will wire up just like a bulb does along with the led. Way simpler.
I got an old Cushman UTV maxim that i've had to do alot of the same stuff to. Sometimes parts catalogs just don't exist...and you gotta use your noggin and whatever you have laying around or can easily acquire. My little cart has given me a lot of fun and challenges. Hope your does the same!
@@gamerX-wk7ct They are both buzzers. The backup buzzer is just a high pitched piezo alarm. I'm talking about a backup alarm like on commercial trucks. "Beep..beep..beep...". It wires into the backup light circuit.
@@scottsatterthwaite4073 I know the type your talking about I have one on my work truck and there annoying maybe because I have heard it for years but sometimes you like to backup without a loud 2 sec long beep beep beep and I think with what he has is fine because something like that would probably be in reverse alot and trust me you would be turning it off after awhile
Ooh i put led headlights in place of the sealed beam headlights on my old jeep. Lots of "reviews" on those things, people get way too technical when it comes to headlights, but in the end those led headlights are MUCH BRIGHTER than stock rectangle sealed headlights, and I've not had anybody flash me, telling me I'm too bright.
Looking pretty good Taryl fix up a way to put the snow plow on the front of it with a little winch they plow snow really good see you at torque fest take care man
I could see the brake buzzer being annoying in cases such as you wanted to have the headlights on to illuminate something late at night. Can it be wired to only buzz/light up when the key is in run position? Also with all of the addon electrical accessories have you considered adding a blade fuse block? Would also give you the ability to shut specific items off if there was an issue with them.
Taryl, voltage does not flow. Current flows. Voltage is the Electro Motive Force (EMF). The voltage puts a difference of potential across a circuit, it pushes and pulls "current" through the circuit.
hi taryl everything looks great but you said you had a few of those rear indicators can i suggest some side repeaters for extra safety and maybe one on the dash to replace green one love all your vids keep spreading the info

Great job
I'm amazed at how Heald repurposed parts from other vehicles they make. The parking brake lever on the Hauler is the same as the footy pegs on my Heald Super Bronc.

Taryl the hauler is becoming a nice going to town rig.
Very good demonstration of wiring know how. Wish I had more of this kind of knowledge. Thanks for saving this nice hauler. A special interest vehicle made better.
Wiring ain't that hard bubba. once you get it, you get it. Only took me about two nights of doing it on my own. RUclips is an amazing resource.
Very nice
Don't forget the gun rack and the beer holder.✌
Years ago, my father bought two of these that were not working and ended up with one running and a pile of junk. He had lots of fun on the farm with it.

Taryl, I love you eye for detail . just amazing work you do ..dash of creative plus a bit of resolve . I tip my hat sir.
You need some chrome trucker girls on your mudflaps.
Terrell great job but I think you said you had some white ones put some white ones in there for backup lights okay this is Bob from Vero Beach Florida God bless have a great day and stay safe
Double up and use one white and one yellow for each side.
Elk Skins telling Tarly to fire up the Hauler lol.
Looks like you'r wiring the space shuttle, Taryl I love it..
Did they use blue butt connectors on the space shuttle? Some of that alien technology we reverse engineered.

Very good educational and entertaining video, cheers !
Great project Taryl! Love all the mods you've done so far!
Just watched your video and it was jam up! Really enjoyed watching all your doing on the healed hauler.
Looks pretty awesome 😎 Taryl love your videos
By the time your done with electronics you’ll need a can system to run it!!!!!! Nice job making it better!!!!!

👍😎... when you going to get the Scrambler 6 wheeler back out and upgrade that, that being nice six wheeler?
Taryl you need to seal that hood plate to keep water out,and keep your wiring dry.Nice video.
That cover has weather stripping on it from Heald.
Dayim . I'm impressed!! You are going all out! Lovin it!
It’s pretty near to watch you fix or work around things. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
I live pretty " far " ...
Wow...what a nice machine, looks like good work vehicle have around house
That thing is sweet. Wish I had the way of finding this stuff that you do.

Love those headlights Tarly ill have to put a set on my atv.
Can you let us know where to buy those headlights maybe a link
Thank you
Always enjoy your videos Taryl!

You’re doing a great job with that Taryl. Can’t wait for pt 2. 🇬🇧👍

i watch all your videos, Taryl .ALOT.I would like to see you do some of the electrical though. Thanks
That's gonna be cool when you're done with it 👍🙂
You should hook up some back-up lights to that reverse switch instead of the buzzer. Then you can use a regular back-up alarm in place of the buzzer.
he has it setup like that reverse beeps and emergency break buzzing

Neat. My stepdad was a Heald dealer. Spent my childhood putting together Super Trykes and Super Broncs etc. Not a bad way to go. Thanks for the vid.
Thank you!!
Exelent work as usural!
Atta boy Taryl!
The turn signal looks like the one on the 49 Chevy dump truck I learned to drive at 9 years old.
23:50 Enhance front bumper (deer gaurd).
Ready for a paint job Taryl
Hey great content. What do you use for a lift table
What about cutting a rubber mat for your floor board?... just an idea. Keep up the great channel Grass Rats Garage!
Be sure and add a HR. Meter for service .

Make sure you back stitch when you sew up the seats!
Gonna be fun
Taryl, put some mud flaps in the back also. Make it look good from the back.
Just a thought.
You should use those white leds in the center of the bed for reverse lights
You forgot the .08+ Warning lights!!
for when you drank too much 🍺
You can't go wrong with stainless steel !
It reminds me of the car SCHLEP off of the TV show WONDER BUG with those headlights.
