A Mad Max movie without Max? I dunno....

To be fair, I think the larger world of Mad Max is big enough and cool enough that I'm interested to see more stories in that setting, even if Max himself isn't always along for the ride. :)

It's very subtle, but this movie doesn't actually have the words "Mad Max" in the main part of the title.

Uh…well to be brutally fair, Fury Road was ALSO just trying to recapture the theme, tone, action, fun and feel of Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior from the original trilogy just actually dialled up a couple of notch’s. It worked. There’s no reason trying that experiment again wouldn’t have also maybe worked.
