    Perfect day for it, lovely view at the top. Sometimes the smaller and less interesting ones really do then have the best views up too. Someone’s done a nice job painting the trig to it looks very nice. Lovely drone shots 😊

      Thanks Yas, it was even better as it was a chance hill walk, I'd packed my camera gear just in case and then it was just a perfect afternoon for a quick stroll. You'll enjoy walking this one when you start the list. 😉

      Glad it brings back some positive memories. One of my favourite spots to while away some time. I've been lucky to have glorious weather on both times I've walked it.

      Thanks Reece for the kind words. Definitely lots of places in the Valleys that get overlooked.

    never walked it. to be honest never knew it existed. certainly gives you bang for your book in terms of views per mile walked.

      @TheWalkingKev  Год назад +3

      Yeah, it has amazing views. Would be a good place for photographing the Beacons when they are snow-capped as well.

      Splendid stuff - those views are quite something and somehow remind us that we were once hunter gathers and lived off the land and how we would once light fires on the the top of such hills to send signals or news of victory in battles, and so on, to people in distant areas.

      @@garymartin557 maybe, you could walk on a bit as it's all access land, nice grass to pitch on.

    Great vid, good inspiration to get up and go, and Wow, the Beacons do look amazing! (just a little niggle, at the start you showed "Cyfarthfa Castle" but you spelt it Cyfartha Castle), I just have ask, have you been iving in Blackwood all your life?, good stuff tho'.

      Apologies for the typo. I was going off the OS Map but probably typed it wrong.
      I'm from Devon originally. Lived in Wales since 2003, but Cardiff, Llanharry, Church Village, Abercarn and now Blackwood for around 4 years.

      @@TheWalkingKev Ah. that's it, your from Beautiful Devon, no wonder there are problems with the Cymraig! NO problem, if there are any more glitches in spelling, they will be identified nicely.

      @@NatSatFat I do my best with pronunciations, most of the time it's a case of not having heard the place name being said, so I'm just reading them off OS Maps. My Welsh speaking daughter tries to help me.
