I love how Kristy is very fashionable and glamorouse durring the sitdown portions of the video, but isn't afraid to post the cuts of her without make up and just down to earth and working.
my wife and i are new campers and love the lifestyle now , your video not only being very informative are funny and a joy to watch , keep up the good work guys
We are newbies and your videos address so many things we have found so very helpful. It has been a huge change from a small pop-up with no amenities to a 32 ft Cedar Creek 5th wheel. Happy to be a subscriber!
That was very cool and it goes to show how a little it takes to change the looks and function of a travel trailer. Your lifestyle choice is inspiring to us all who want to do the same thing in the future Keep Livin' the Dream!
Yes I get it! I live full time in a 2000 Bounder 36s MH. First I had the CARPET replaced in the toilet room and beige porcelain tile put down. Also a new beige porcelain toilet. Love it Then I built a computer desk behind the passenger seat where the old recliner was. New countertops and new sink and faucets. Painted the bedroom and bath walls turquoise and the liv/kit light gray. Cabinets are same as yours. Tiled kitchen and bath with gel peel and stick mosaic tiles. Sofa is gone. Looking for new one soon. New Alure flooring going in this week and redoing the dinette cushions. New drain lines on my frig. Repaired the light and reinstalled my ice maker. Almost a new frig now. Recovering my dinette seats will complete the makeover. What an amazing difference!
Hey guys, like all your vids. We are recently retired and getting back into raving after 20 years off. Got a 20 ft RV that is already too small for the trips we want to take. Your adventures really motivate to get back out there.
So, we are patiently waiting for our 2016 Airstream to be built, and have watched your videos often, getting more eager every day. At the end of this one Sean said subscribers "get it." Well, we got the jokes and site gags and appreciate the humor and the effort you both put into the shows. Thanks. When we finally start hauling, we will look for you on the road.
Hello 2003 airstream design team…what were you thinking! Sean and Kristi, you two did an awesome job bringing your airstream up to date! It looks beautiful, and I love the personal touches of creativity. 👍
Nice decorating choices. It makes an awesome difference. Ours is a 1976, I am just finishing the utilities; and moving on to cosmetics is going to be fun. Please keep up with all the videos, my wife and I love to watch them.
My opinion.... Best video yet. The time you both take in making quality videos is unmatched. My wife and I at the Kelly Corner thoroughly enjoy your work. We have a RV and hope to one day come across both of you in our adventures.
The update looks great. I enjoy all of your videos, the information gives me an education on the life in a trailer. I hope to some day enjoy. Cute play with the phallic faucet.
My wife and I love your videos they are very informative. We are going to be newbies to the travel trailer lifestyle. What I mean by that is we are signing the papers on a new 18" travel trailer on Friday and have our orientation set for Saturday morning. This is our first trailer and we are excited to take the grand kids camping.
Love what you have done. I have a new camper and found things I wanted to change to make it more my style and function and after a year have been slowly making those changes. I bought the camper primarily for a weekend get away but my brother asked about going on some trips so his family and I are doing a couple of trips a year. So far this year we went to Carter Caves KY had such a great time I want to do a fall trip.
Nice job on the upgrade. We had a similar problem with the interior of our trailer. It just did not feel like home. So we covered all the walls with vinyl wallpaper that we purchased from Target and then painted corners to match the wallpaper. Also had the cushions recovered and have updated the kitchen faucet with a single lever unit. We even added a chandelier, a little overboard, but hey.
Browsing older videos, of your earlier times, and found this DIY Special. You may have missed a calling. :-) You both, and dad, did a wonderful job transforming 2003, into a new decade. I love your older videos too. (Love your, "AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE:", statement! Too funny.) Here's to your continued RV Travel success. Ted & Lee Ann
Great and brave renovation. Your have turned the Classic into something more classical. Personally, once your did the fab bronze bathroom upgrade, I would have found some art-deco-esque fabric and used that for your pelmets and soffits , truly taking the Airstream back to its beautiful 1930s roots. For your next projext perhaps you can spray your car to match? V funny and interesting vid, thanks for sharing.
love what you have done with your airstream, we just bought a 31 foot and all ready started changing the inside , and its fun and I done fell bad with changing cause we got a used one, so now we are making it ours
I really like all of your videos.. This is my first trailer sort of terrified doing this,, but you to give me the confidence I'm looking for to start this life. Thank you so much.
Thanks much, no worries! You will do fine. There's a "newbie" playlist on our Channel home page that you may find helpful. Let me know if you run across questions that we may have missed. Safe travels!
As newbies, Jeff and I have enjoyed watching and learning from your experiences and creative problem solving. I was delighted to find I could subscribe to your videos and to learn you have a Facebook page we can follow, and, perhaps, even communicate with you via same. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and boosting our courage to travel outside of our comfort zone. Also, since we did buy a used, FSBO, Airstream, we didn't get the education that is offered by dealers. Just wanted to let you know that we have followed many of your suggestions and will, no doubt, continue to benefit from the time and energy you have put into producing these videos. Thanks again, you are beginning to feel like family! We think your name is very sweet and clever too! And where do you get the cute T-shirts? ❤️ Donna
What a nice job!!! You have inspired me! Mine is a 2011, so it is not TOO bad, but there is always room to "personalize". My friend made me custom pillows. One says "Go Your Own Way" and the other says "wander". I found some unique rugs. I changed out the matchy-matchy comforter and pillows. My challenge is they used a really CHEAP, THIN leather on the Seats and couch and they are tearing and peeling. They look terrible and will cost a fortune to recover. I checked out a really nice store in Santa Fe that sells covers....also expensive and not so sure I want the sheep/fur (whatever it is). They said it was cool in the summer and warm in the winter but they look like they might be hot in the summer. i like my floor, countertops and cabinetry, so I am lucky there. I just got back from my first trip. Spent a month and a half in New Mexico. I was very disappointed in RV Parks. I stayed in some nice ones but they ALL turned into cemeteries after 8:30 and people crawled into their own tin cans and called it a night. They were friendly in the daytime (reasonably) but no social anything at night. I thought there would be campfires and conversations, but not so :-( I was really disappointed in the lack of friendliness/social aspect of RVing so far. I felt lonely I did meet some nice people I am staying connected with but not that many. Not sure what I did wrong other than traveling alone.
It all amazing but your chihuahua took it all I got one and love the way it raises it paw up so layer back too but that remodel was a great thing love it
Thanks for all the great info! We've just started with a travel trailer this year and you guys have made it so much easier to get comfortable with the whole RV/trailer experience.
For anyone in the area of lower TN/Upper AL, Sirs' Fabric (Fayetteville, TN)is amazing for inexpensive, otherwise pricey fabric. The store is HUGE and it is easy to get overwhelmed...well, for me at least. They have a decent on-line store but a killer location with run-offs and cool things that I have seen on chairs at World Market. It is over an hour for me, so I gather all my projects and head there with a plan! There is a good all-you-can-eat buffet in town too, EEK!
Hey you guys! I have been following you because I really want an Airstream. And I love what you have done with yours..wow!Looking forward to seeing some more videos of your trips too.
Your updates with bronze fixtures make it look like my 2013 Classic. Our trailer has Moen residential faucets. I saw the exact faucet in your video when you were in the "big box home improvement store with the orange color scheme".
Love your make-over on your trailer. My husband says I will paint anything that is still for too long. While I was excited about the possibility of re-doing a trailer, weight concerns pushed us towards a new mini lite. Nothing needs painting yet. You can stain your wood without sanding with a good gel stain. If you want to see it I can send you the link to my blog. Thanks for all the info. Traci
my husband does the same thing at the grocery store like the thumbnail/faucet with cucumbers and tomatoes 😂😂😂 he would get along with this fellow famously
Wow, fantastic! A lot of helpful information, many thanks! My 2005 Mobile Scout has nearly the same floor plan and some of the same decor - once again, you all have inspired me :)
Hi guys, We have a 1997 25; Safari and next year I will retire. We also want to re-do the interior as we have that same faux wood and bland colours. You have provided so many great ideas for us to update. I am like Kristy;s dad "pretty handy" and will do the work myself. Need to replace our floor too which is currently some type of sheet material like a kitchen floor. The carpet was removed by the previous owner. The idea of colouring the sofa is wonderful. Ours is similar to one you have. Take care and yes we may see you somewhere on the road. Keith
Thanks Keith, if we do any more updating we'll be sure to do a follow up video. Yes, the vinyl/carpet dye is good stuff! Also worked wonders on our valances. Just remember that it leaves a slightly rough texture, but can be brushed more smooth. You might test it on an area to see how you like it. Cheers!
In 2 years we're pulling the trigger on the future, early retirement, selling almost everything except the 2 Greyhound, my car to use as a toad and buying a new or one year used Class A diesel pusher. At the top of the list is Thor's Tuscany, he get's his dishwasher, I get my washer/dryer, the dogs get floor space and we can can have some changes made to provide a dedicated office space should we find an area we want to stay in for a while and decide to freelance in our careers. The problem we're having with any of the Class A's we've looked at is color or lack there of. None of the fabric packages reflect our taste which is tropical water colors. We'll be writing a check for the motor home and then more checks to have fabrics replaced/recovered so I found your spray dye idea very interesting. I can paint, change out back splashes, door pulls etc so that's a non-issue. Thanks for the tip!!!
Hi Guys, We love your show. keep 'em coming. We are newbies and we are just starting out. Thanks for your great advice on your show. Dom & Marianne Nuzzi from Connecticut.
Looks great! Also some very economical fixes. I'd love to have an Airstream, but am content with my 13' Field and Stream.(worst part-no indoor potty) I've had it 10years and now need to do some major repairs, so will do the interior also. Thank you both for all of your videos and info. Happy travels.
Metal Hardware can be powder coated bronze and multiple other colors for little if any real money output . Including wood which requires UV lamp powder coating systems. If it can be removed it can be powder coated .average cabinets from a complete Airstream would take approximately 20 to 30 minutes to apply the powder and 20 minute cycle curing lamps
I just upgraded all the door panels on my 1987 Ford campervan with diamond tread aluminum. It felt great to make the interior more my own. Your upgrades look great.
You don't have to sand the cabinets down. There's a Rust-Oleum product that basically acid etches your cabinets before staining. It works awesome as long as you're going darker.
Great video! Reading your book (Living Large in a Small Tin Can) now and it's a great read! My wife and I are considering going "full time" and are weighing the options between a TT, 5th wheel, or motorhome. I had never considered an Airstream before due to the cost. You have inspired me, however, to consider a route such as yours with a later vintage, used unit. I'd want to customize anything I got anyway, even if I bought new! I really like what you've done with yours!
I made a double take when I saw the intro picture. I Thought Kristy had yur jewels clad in "Airstream Aluminum " as part of the remodel 😂. And that faux metal that you used for the back splash can be ordered in many other pattern and color tints in addition to the in stock options .It also can be ordered in large sheets. I did my home kitchen back splash with it and almost did the ceiling. I think thats its intended use, to replace the old tin ceilings. There are lots of other places it goes well , just use some imagination its quit versitile.
Hey you two. I loved this video, as I enjoy all of them! You did a great job, and have inspired me to do some improvements on our RV. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Good video. I love to remodel. We have 2 chihuahuas and they love to treavel with us. We have done a few llittle things to our Wildcat like new kitchen fawcett and hooks and new foam in the upolstery. That really made a difference incomfort.
LOL, totally "get it"! Very nice upgrades. We're picking up our brand spanking new 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2670MK on friday, bringing it home for the weekend so my wife can dive in to "making her new dollhouse her own"
My new to me 03 has the same funny looking silver thing. Ive been afraid to touch it. But thanks to your channel I've decided to grab it and give it a twist.
You probably already know this, but I figured it would be worth mentioning: before you paint, it's a good idea to clean the surface you will be painting with a cleaning product such as TSP, and then rinsing it, before you put on a primer. The paint adhesion will be much improved if this step is done. Otherwise, you can be painting over invisible oils and dirt on the surface, which will cause the paint to easily come off. By the way, I love your videos! They have been so helpful to me as a new RVer! Thank you!
Great video. I've just purchased my first 5th wheel camper, or first camper ever, and have subscribed and learned a lot so far. Keep up the great work.
Hi Scott and Kristy! I just found your RUclips channel. I have a B Class rv but I am obsessed with Airstreams. Great job on the makeover, and yes I won't be looking at faucets the same ever again! LOL.
With the advent of the newer vinyl flooring, I think if I ever change flooring in an RV again - I did the same thing you guys did, laminate to replace carpet - I will go vinyl... it's flexible, very water resistant, and generally looks better than laminate as it's typically not shiny.
I love how Kristy is very fashionable and glamorouse durring the sitdown portions of the video, but isn't afraid to post the cuts of her without make up and just down to earth and working.
You guys are awesome. I don't have an airstream, but your clips apply to all RV'ers. Thanks for your ideas.
my wife and i are new campers and love the lifestyle now , your video not only being very informative are funny and a joy to watch , keep up the good work guys

Thanks for the creative ideas for redecorating my RV -- very inspirational. I enjoy learning how so many people put their personal stamp on their RVs.

Nice decorating choices. It makes an awesome difference. Ours is a 1976, I am just finishing the utilities; and moving on to cosmetics is going to be fun. Please keep up with all the videos, my wife and I love to watch them.
Thanks John! More vids on the way!
The quotes at the beginning of the videos....love em.
My opinion.... Best video yet. The time you both take in making quality videos is unmatched. My wife and I at the Kelly Corner thoroughly enjoy your work. We have a RV and hope to one day come across both of you in our adventures.
Thumbs up! The new hardware looks great, as does the backsplash and painting. All of it, really, great job! :)
I love watching you 2. You are a perfect couple!!! Even though I can't travel now I'm so glad people get too. I think that's so amazing!!!
Another great video - down to earth, informative and entertaining. Best trailer videos on youtube.
The update looks great. I enjoy all of your videos, the information gives me an education on the life in a trailer. I hope to some day enjoy. Cute play with the phallic faucet.

Terrific episode Sean & Kristy! Only I was hoping to see how you polish that old faucet......keep up the great work! Your videos are terrific!
love how the paint dye on the bottom of the couch really changed the whole look
Amazing what a little paint and decorating can do. It looks awesome.
Love what you have done. I have a new camper and found things I wanted to change to make it more my style and function and after a year have been slowly making those changes. "We get it." Thanks again for sharing. Still researching RVs. Getting closer.
You did a great job. Looks brand new.
Enjoyed this video. You did a wonderful job on the upgrade.
Great video! The one thing I wouldn't have thought of is that we would need an RV specific faucet for our bathroom.

VERY NICE WORK ON THE INSIDE OF THE AIRSTREAM...... STEVE
Love your sense of humor it’s the best

LOL, the faucet. That made an interesting thumbnail! Awesome upgrades!
👍 Great way to get clicks too!! That thumb nail...I was like.. wait a minute 😳😳 Terrific ideas. I love your puppy! So cute.
love what you have done with your airstream, we just bought a 31 foot and all ready started changing the inside , and its fun and I done fell bad with changing cause we got a used one, so now we are making it ours
Best part was when you were working with your Dad, family is important, happy travels.
Christy your dad is so cool. you're very lucky to have a husband who gives him credit.
Very nice upgrades and another great video.
I really like all of your videos.. This is my first trailer sort of terrified doing this,, but you to give me the confidence I'm looking for to start this life. Thank you so much.

Kristy your dad couldn't deny you even if he wanted too, because you look just like your dad !
❤️ Donna
I like what you did to the inside of your Airstream. We need to spruce up some areas of our Gulf Stream.. So, thanks for the video.
I felt lonely I did meet some nice people I am staying connected with but not that many. Not sure what I did wrong other than traveling alone.
Wow! That came out beautifully!
Awesome, looking much better!!!! Thanks !!!!
Nice video! You guys have done a ton of work and it shows! The old bathroom faucet is hilarious!!!!
I really like your choices--the trailer looks great. Thanks for posting.
You guys did a great job! Looks like a million!
Thanks, my parents live in north AL and they told me about that place!
Great project! I really like what you did with your airstream!
Just found y'all! Lot's of great ideas and cool products! And I love your Baby Girl...she is so precious and loved...warms my heart! :)
Hey you guys! I have been following you because I really want an Airstream. And I love what you have done with yours..wow!Looking forward to seeing some more videos of your trips too.

The idea of colouring the sofa is wonderful. Ours is similar to one you have.

Nice job. Did not know they made that kind of fabric paint in a can. Great idea.
Hi Guys, We love your show. keep 'em coming. We are newbies and we are just starting out. Thanks for your great advice on your show. Dom & Marianne Nuzzi from Connecticut.
I'm glad i found out what that "thing" on the thumbnail was. I was thinking it was gonna be a different type of video....LOL

You guys rock. Since I started watching your vids, you've made me want to get an air stream. Keep up the good stuff!
I just upgraded all the door panels on my 1987 Ford campervan with diamond tread aluminum. It felt great to make the interior more my own. Your upgrades look great.

Hey you two. I loved this video, as I enjoy all of them! You did a great job, and have inspired me to do some improvements on our RV. Thanks and keep up the great work.
Love air stream they are the most sought after trailers& RV's they hold premium value when most others are junk
+Joseph Wilson they do hold their value nicely. We have had ours a decade and it's still worth about what we paid for it! 😳👍
Awesome Job with the inside of the airstream.... Hope to see you out there...
This video inspires my wife and I to buy an Airstream that needs love and fix it up to suit us.
First video I've seen of yours. Loved it. Subscribed!
Good video. I love to remodel. We have 2 chihuahuas and they love to treavel with us. We have done a few llittle things to our Wildcat like new kitchen fawcett and hooks and new foam in the upolstery. That really made a difference incomfort.
Great job on the personality transformation on the air stream, Very comfortable.
New subscriber is enjoying your channel.
Anthropologie has some great looking cabinet pulls.
Thank you!
Love the spray dye
Great video. I've just purchased my first 5th wheel camper, or first camper ever, and have subscribed and learned a lot so far. Keep up the great work.
Just fantastic! Great job!
Amazing transformation
Hi Scott and Kristy! I just found your RUclips channel. I have a B Class rv but I am obsessed with Airstreams. Great job on the makeover, and yes I won't be looking at faucets the same ever again! LOL.
lol Scott. That's Mr. Scott, to you
Wow, looks great what you've done, not to much, but just enough. I've seen others do " an improvement" and ends up bad, again looks great guys
LMAO!! The absolute very first thing I (sadly), thought of when I saw the opening. Had no idea what it was. Very funny.
Wow! You guys did a great job. It looks like a million bucks on a beer budget. Baby Grrl is a charmer. :)
With the advent of the newer vinyl flooring, I think if I ever change flooring in an RV again - I did the same thing you guys did, laminate to replace carpet - I will go vinyl... it's flexible, very water resistant, and generally looks better than laminate as it's typically not shiny.
Awesome remodel. AWESOME Cosby joke!
All together now for the puppy, Awwwwwwwwwww............
You guys are HILARIOUS with the faucet segment!! Hahahaha!
