Barely a year ago I made a video of this song with 2 guitars in standard tuning.
It was time to honor this masterpiece again by arranging it for solo guitar.
As far as I know I m the only one who did this until now.
It was a lot of work arranging and playing this song fluently. But I think it was worth it.
I hereby share my tabs too and invite you to learn and play it, maybe even better than me, since my version has some small flaws.
It sounds great in D-minor and with enough practice it is a very great song.
Of course I m available if there are any questions or help is required.

This instrumental song is one of my favourite from Dax Johnson and it means a lot to me. Seeing you playing this version on guitar is just truly amazing, i teared up abit because it reminded me of Dax. You did a great job, I am looking forward for more.

This is pretty good, but i think you should stick with the 2 guitar version. All the notes of a beautiful song like Rain can't fit into a single guitar. Just an idea, try playing this together with the original piano arrangement. That would be very epic. Anyways, good job and thanks for arranging it!

This is a t1 ace tramontane and yes, these are metal strings,
I don t think you need an original score to play this song,You may just start with my tabs and elaborate it as you wish, The chords are not that hard and you can figure out a lot by ear.

I agree with you.1 Guitar cannot offer the same musical depth as a piano.
But you cannot transport a piano with you, neither 2 guitars... then I guess this version may be useful.:)

It must be the tuning and at some points the tone distortion because of the string tension (0:25), right?
