- In this video, I will walk you through how I used Terro liquid ant bait to get rid of ants in our kitchen.
Terro Liquid Ant Bait: www.amazon.com/TERRO-T300-Liq...
Is this video I’m gonna show you how to go from this…to this. I love videos like this so much! Resolve my problem instantly!
It really works. A ton of ants ate it for 3 days and on the 4th day not an ant in site. Its like they all disappeared
Well done! Glad the video helped.
RIP
😢
@@magacop5180 lol huh? Its just ants
Did you have to keep using it over time?
@@guyantheman1 It wiped out the whole colony. If you have you a huge ant problem with multiple colonies you are dealing with millions of ants. You gotta buy more bait in bulk
Had a few straggling ants that kept re-appearing, so finally grabbed some of these. I liked their old baits better where there was a ramp for it to come down, now once you rip it off its up in the air so you have to drip it out or they have no way to easily get to it. Besides that, those 3 ants I kept seeing turned into about 200 in about an hour after putting this down, and was glad to find where they were coming from (the problem I couldn't find where they were). I moved the food closer to make the process faster and within a day they were all gone. I tried those plastic contained ones and they would just walk past them daily, these worked within an hour.
I love videos that are quick and to the point
Thanks for the comment!
Exactly the information I needed. Thank you!
Without a doubt, the Terro Liquid Ant Bait has worked the best for me. Nothing else even comes close. Diane
Great stuff! I’ve used it for years and it’s always come through for me too.
For others watching this, ignore the instructions that come with this product and just cut the top off with scissors at the neck.
The design of this package is absolutely stupid if one follows the instructions. The top is supposed to "snap off" - well, it takes a whole lot of bending and twisting for it to finally break off - the seams of one packet were broken in the process, so it was a throwaway. On another packet when the top finally "broke" off the opening was pinched shut and it had to be opened with a toothpick - only because I noticed that it was pinched shut.
Here's hoping that the product is better than the idiot package.
Yep I used scissors too, I found the "easy tear off tab" impossible to open. I think the original style was easier for the ants to get the "food" this new version kind of sucks, it seems difficult for the ants to get it.
Agree. Come on Terro. Fix this.
I remember having a literal infestation of ants in our previous apartment and we just couldn't figure where they were coming from. I used a bit of Tarro and in less than 5 days they not just disappeared, they never came back. I always recommend it
Great story. Glad it worked for you. Thanks for watching! 👍
Where did you place the traps when you didn’t know the source?
@@badlarry1630 by placing the traps on their corridors. No need to place them anywhere else.
@@badlarry1630 I generally place them in the vicinity of where I saw the ants. No need to be perfect. The ants will find it! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing this video. We just purchase a terro liquid ant bait today and started using it. It is working!
It def works....the ants have woken up due to high temps for March, and we replaced all of our baits this week. Use the Liquid versions and get a little bit on a piece of cardboard or stiff paper like the vid, and place it near the main bait. Use scissors, not your fingers.
Cumbersome is right. I had to look for a video to find out how to twist the tab off. I might have to cut it.
I use scissors.
I have a wood TV table near my desk. I saw a couple of ants on it, and then a few more over the next couple of days.
I got some of these baits at Walmart and put it on the table. Within a few minutes, there were ants converging out of nowhere to the bait.
I let the bait sit on the table for a few days. This happened in the latter part of 2000, and I've not seen an ant since then.
Well done! Glad it worked for you. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video. This will be really helpful for me. And safe. Thank you.
Tim Bunn Thanks. Terro has worked for me on a number of occasions when I’ve run into any problems.
@@hustlindaddiy5194 once bait was set did more ants advance past the area where bait was placed?
@@pewpew90 Most congregated around the bait. This lasted for a day or so and generally they don’t come back after 1-2 applications.
@@hustlindaddiy5194 ok thank you. I live in an apartment complex and was worried a lot more would come in and go beyond bait traps. But left 2 outside and a few inside by door where they’re coming in from
I have been using this for over a month and the ants seem very happy that I am spending money to feed them the only time they somewhat go away is when there is no food left as soon as I put more out they are back just as many as day one
Like the way you put some on paper!
I use the liquid, alone, they take it straight to the nest!
Amazing to watch...
Thanks for watching. Hope it helped. Good luck!
@@hustlindaddiy5194 it did! They are gone. Just found your channel. Now, I get notifications.
Thx for checking in. I live in an RV full-time and can use all the hints I can get lol
@@KimbradleyMasterGardener Nice! So glad it worked!
I use foil so it doesn’t absorb. Works every time!
Definitely will give this a try. I have little black ants in my kitchen and bathroom when it gets warm outside
Good luck!
This stuff is amazing.. I was running around the house with a vacuum cleaner sucking up lines... I got a few of these... ALL GONE, in 1 day or 2.... NO CLEAN UP, they just disappeared like MAGIC!!!! 10/10
Good stuff! Glad it worked!
thanks for this video!
My pleasure. Thanks for watching!
I've been living in this house I'm in now for about 8 years and never had an ant problem. Just within 13 hours, one bait was completely swarmed and completely astonished that they found it that quickly. I don't know if it's a good idea to do 2 baits at once, but hopefully they'll go away!
Hope it works out for you. Thanks for watching!
How did it go?
@@Adornbeautify Bad news friend, the ants took over an enslaved Maddy
rip
I have three out and it seem to only go for one
great method with the paper. ill be doing this tomorrow
Nice. Good luck!
Thanks for the tips! I put a drop on a piece of paper next to the trap and they all went back and told their buddies 😏 there was a party and now there are none to be found!
Ha! You’re on your way!
Thanks for the info!
My pleasure. Hope it helps.
Unfortunately, I had the bad luck of renting a new place which the landlord didn’t mention an ant infestation, I was sceptical when I brought the product at first, but my God this stuff is like crack for ants. Definitely will recommend.
🔥🔥😳 I set out these traps and ants did come but word got out and many more came with beach chairs, umbrellas and beer. Does this mean I need to try a different bait, or maybe my ants are just smart Alec’s?🤔🤪
👍 Works great Good Stuff
Good stuff! Glad it worked!
Great video
Thanks very much. Hope it helped!
@@hustlindaddiy5194 Antyime and it sure did!
I couldn't get the Terro discret ant baits to work - I will chose your type.
So they didn't go into the traps for me but they did swarm all the spots where's I squeezed it out onto cardboard. But only for half a day and now there ignoring it completely and I keep finding them in other areas again? Are they bored of it? Or do they know ...👀
Hope you got rid of them for good! Thanks for watching.
I call it the ant sayance when they’re all circled up around it lol
Hilarious!
Thanks for the video!! Didn't I should I have waited 'til they die, I saw some in it (I thought they were dead too), I took the plastic thing and the colony starting coming out of the thing and going up my hand, I was freaking out, I threw it in the toilet, I started flushing but I had to put my hand in the toilet to not let the thing go and it was a complete mess!
I just put another one and now I'm spying at the colony getting interested, hopefully they'll die soon!
This bait Rocks! For me it’s Best!, on the market
Nice! Glad it worked for you!
Thank you for the video man, how often should they be replaced?
I’ve found if you keep them out for a few days that is generally all
It takes. The ants to tend to come back time to time and I have to put them put again. Best of luck! Thanks for watching!
Can I put them outside on the spot the come in through or does it have to be inside the house?
Nope. Outside works as well. Just be mindful that when it rains you might not want to put them out. Terro also sells versions that you can place directly into your grass or garden with a stake included. Good luck!👍
Would you recommend buying the bottled one instead of this trap? It's such a waste if the left over Terro evaporates
Not a bad idea. If you buy the bottle just make sure you put it in a piece of paper or cardboard. The stuff is pretty sticky and clean up can be a challenge if it gets in the floor.
I use small foam cake plates from dollar tree
Is it normal for some ants to avoid the bait after a day or two? The ants were all over the bait when I first put it out and the amount of ants did decrease a lot the day after, but now it seems like the few ants that appear either take the bait, just touch the bait quickly and leave, or avoid it completely. It's now day 3 since I put out the bait.
@Danny -- they got tired of eating the same good sweet stuff but everyone in the village have eaten it and are taking a long nap.
No ants near my bait traps yet have several out and they never came near them. What gives?
@@fotogrl7 find an ant trail and see if you can see where they’re coming from. Pour a little bit out of the container on top of their trail. They’ll see it, then they’ll get curious and eventually start drinking it to take it back to the colony. I’ve seen this bait in action. Put it wherever they’re going. If the ants don’t have a clear trail and they seem to randomly be all over the place then that means they haven’t found any food (that’s a good thing btw!). Also, don’t use this product right after it has rained. From what I understand they won’t be thirsty enough to take the bait right after it rains.
@@NSUScooter Thanks I have those and have been using them. Most are gone but new ones keep coming in and It’s so exhausting!
@@fotogrl7 how did it go ?
I got the Terro ..but it’s a squeeze bottle.. they give you some small squares size paper with a circle ⭕️ on the paper. the circle on the tab is the size of a dime.. it says to place here ⭕️ … they was eating my dog food out his bowl so I put 3 squares in the cabinet where they trail was.. they loved it a few drowned and was dead.. I seen them pick the dead ants up picked them up and took them with them why???
I put it on the paper in the morning then had to come back and replace around 4 hrs … I started 2 days ago this morning was the last day which is day 3 that I seen of them … last year I used this kind in the video first but it was hard to open but it still worked just fine.. I have a dog so I keep my bottom cabinets locked .. this saved my home for 2 years last year and this years … the ants will leave in about 3-4 days max … now I’m currently chasing flies and they ain’t small somebody help me 😂😂??? I hate flies
What can I use that doesn’t smell bad ?? For flies??
Glad it worked for the ants! Now onto the flies. Ha.
used these in our kitchen because they were coming in and our of the outlets. theybawarned the bait for a couple days snd after 2 weeks I didn't see any in the kitchen so I cleaned up the bait. now I'm seeing 1 every day around the fire place I'm the living room.
what gives ? will I have to bait the living room now too? I hate ants lol.
Ha. You and me both. Thanks for watching!
Wait so if the ants see dead ants wouldn’t they alert the colony ? Also how about the pheromones? I read online that this takes about 2 days ? So does this means that you need to dispose of this after 2 days ?
I usually leave it for a few days just in case there are any stranglers
They been working for me but I still have a few stragglers who don't seem to be interested in it, even when poured out. Does anyone have any recommendations?
It usually does the job after leaving out for a few days. Hopefully the stranglers are gone.
so just leave the bait for two weeks dead ants and all? do I need to put some on a paper?
Yep. If you have the traps I would just leave them be until the ants stop coming. If you have the liquid I would put it on a piece of paper or cardboard to make clean up easier. Good luck!
YUP works like a charm
Amen!
Hey bro what you recommend for outdoor ants around the house?
They have an outdoor version of terro for ants as well!
The national guard and grenades
I was too hasty and sprayed the ants gathered around the baits. Was that a bad call? Should I have just left them alone?
I’ve been there. It’s actually better to just leave them alone, as they will take the bait back to their friends and it will kill them all off.
@@hustlindaddiy5194 You live and you learn. Thank you
Put mine out for a couple hours and it got filled with ants. Can’t tell if they’re dead or what and do I leave it alone and put another down?
You’re on your way. Good luck!
Ants: oh the liquid taste so good..it's yummy and sweet. let's bring the whole family to this freebee..later that nigh they went home and took a long drunken nap forever
Works every time. Thanks for watching!
Is there anything stronger then that?
Hmm. Is it not working? Perhaps put a few more out in different areas. I’ve found if you leave this out for a few days it generally does the trick.
How much do the packets cost?
They generally range from $5-6 for a pack of 6.
Definitely cheaper at a store than online.
Why some say 4 days, they are gone? It has been 2 weeks. They still come and eat. Is terro really working?
That is a long time to keep seeing them. I would try it a little longer to see if it gets rid of them for good.
@@hustlindaddiy5194 , I know. so Sad. The previous time i used it, it took about 2 weeks. I am surprised you see the result so soon.
I'm having the same problem. They're still coming out of the holes in the bathroom and such even after two weeks. I've added new baits as well to keep killing them off but I hope they're all killed soon.
@@AANation360 , it is just so many....
@@chucollin hi, is it all gone now? how much longer did it take?
Do i have to open it and look inside like you did at the end?
Ha! Only if you want to! Thanks for watching.
This video was actually helpful though my situation took a couple weeks and several traps. Did the trick though! Thanks
@@justranda1 patience is a virtue. These worked for me when Raid traps and spray repeatedly failed 🙂
PLEASE HELP.. Does this work on flying ants ?? They are swarming every other day around my lamp..
Not sure there. You could always give it a shot!
You might have termites, rather than ants. Ants do not fly.
where can I buy this stuff?
Any big box store like Home Depot or lowes should work. They also sell on Amazon.
ants, Ants, ANTS!!! Got me a pack just now. I've used this product before and it seems to do the trick.
Nice! Fight the good fight! Thanks for watching.
I brought the same one, but once i put it on the floor the ants seem to be scared and all run away~
Oh no. Sometimes if you leave it out for a while they come back to get it.
Had to watch a video to open and still wound up cutting it.
Yeah. I’ve had the same experience :)
I’ve been using this stuff but the ants I have are like 2x the size of the ants in this video lol hopefully it works haha
That is hilarious! Good luck.
Dude these are #1 and it’s not even close. They eradicate them over night unless it’s a huge colony that moved in but either way it will work even if it takes a couple days.
Amen! Glad it worked for you.
My issue is the opening is too high. Why wouldn't they make these so the opening is level to where u set it? Ants go right around it because they dk they gotta crawl up it to get in. Ridiculous
Agree. I feel like that is one of the few downsides.
It’s What Ants Crave. Seriously.
Amen. Hope it worked for you!
How much process
Pretty simple process. And the traps are quite affordable.
Can these be used on or near carpet? Mine seem to be coming out of the carpet :S are they able to carry some of it without losing it all on the fibers?
@@ccat8324
If it's your house I'd PERSONALLY rip the carpet out where they're coming from and then poison them with these traps.
While this occurs take note of where they're coming from and going as well as anywhere else there's holes under the carpet. Fill in the holes with caulking or whatever works best after the colonies are dead.
I'm not an expert so please take my advice with a grain of salt but I think the carpet may pose an issue.
I doubt the carpet will remove all of the poison from the ants but it may make it less effective.
I wish you luck with your ants and I hope you will wish me luck with mine.
I've got scouts wandering around aimlessly so I'm going to be dealing with them before they get out of hand.
@@ccat8324 I would think so. Just be careful not to spill it as it’s pretty sticky. Also try to keep away from animals as I believe it has a sweet taste.
@@reptilionsarehere not my house just renting a room while away at school from someone who is cheap and refuses to fix anything -.-
This was a waste for me. It did not work. The ants went around it. Some wet for it, but they found other ways in. I used hornet spray that took care of that.
Bummer. I’ve had pretty good success with it. Glad you found another cure.
Got fed up. Threw some old dog food outside hoping the ants would stay out there but nope. I just put a trap out. We'll see if it works.
Give it a few days. If it attracts the ants just let it go and it should do the trick. Thanks for watching.
They’re emptying these in a few days 😮
I had to use scissors
It's the only effective product in my own opinion.
Eh, the best ant killer is making your own. 3 parts sugar to 1 part borax. That worked like magic in a day or two.
Nice! I’ll have to try that sometime.
yes but borax is messy especially on range tops and counters in kitchen
Those are huge ants!!! 😬😬😬😬
Ha! Definitely needed the Terro on this one. Thanks for watching.

Hilarious
they turn into tyrone biggums from this stuff 😀✌️
My mom had put a bait in our half bathroom that's connected to our room. There were already ants and we assumed they were coming up through the drain.
Needless to say, after the trap was put down, they all quickly went for it. Definitely unsightly and gross to see em all in one spot... so I might have sprayed them with some of the Zevo stuff which killed all the ants also instantly.
you can spray them with rubbing alcohol it will kill them instantly but it does nothing to solve the problem
@@danmcintyre7161
In fact it just wastes your money.
Now the ant trap is sprayed with stuff the ants will hate AND they're dead so they won't be moving the poison back to the colony and queen.
