Hi Ellen, hope I’m not speaking out of line but after hearing about Chloe I had to comment! I lost my girl of 14 yrs to Cushings last July 3! A nightmare bc I had to make the “decision “!, truthfully it’s been a year and a half and it’s just getting bearable! No one can tell you how or how long to grieve! Ok I won’t harp but felt compelled to bring it up Hopefully my girl will find Chloe and they can be pain free, running after balls together Much luv, R 🌈❤️❤️
The beautiful sunrise in your video made me think that it was the glow of Chloe from her rainbows bridge. It was as if she was letting you and the pups know that everything is ok. I pray for you and your pups, as I know they miss Chloe beyond measure, too. All my love, and warmest blessings.
Good morning Ellen, I watched your video last night but I wanted to make sure I wasn't too tired to comment so I waited until this morning which is Saturday morning at almost 5 o'clock in the morning😮 it's my daily routine😊 I go down get my coffee feed my boy Otis take him out and then we head upstairs. I go back to bed until probably around nine I do my Bible reading in bed and my journaling. Then I head out the door and go for an hour and a half walk weather permitting. I am blessed that I have money to live on comfortably since my husband died🙏 it doesn't mean I can spend it vicariously. I am 74 years old I'm in great health, I walk at least 4 to 5 miles six days a week and when I can't go out my children bought me a walking pad which my son-in-law brought over yesterday; it's in my family room downstairs. I hate walking indoors but this thing's a little 💎 $128 on Amazon and all you have to do is plug it in; it comes with a little remote so I can hold it in my hand. The reason I know how much it cost is because my youngest daughter asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I picked this out. I an so happy I found your channel❤ it's like sitting down with a dear friend with a cup of coffee. I can't wait to see what you do with the living room. Have a blessed weekend my friend, stay safe❤ me and Otis🐶Massachusetts
@@FaithyandOtis..Massachusetts walking is such great exercise. In the past I walked 3 miles everyday. I really should get back to it. I really enjoyed it. The fibro and arthritis makes it difficult but I know it would help in the long run.
Got up early this morning and got a few things done but this afternoon just not feeling well. I think it's the rainy weather, my seasonal affective disorder and just the holiday blues. I forced myself to walk on my walking pad for a mile and lifted some weights and then a nice hot relaxing bath this evening. I tell you it's so hard at 3-4 pm to stay awake in the wintertime. I've really never recovered from the time change. UGH! That and I don't seem to have much of a schedule in the winter which makes me even more lethargic. You are so right to look for the little miracles daily
I am just like you, Ellen… If I see something that I like and think would look pretty in my home or on my porches, when I have the money, I buy it with happiness!
I think how folks spend their money is their business, nobody needs to judge. We all have needs and wants and its up to us to work out how to balance it. My daughter and I are planning a trip to Costco tomorrow I still have my Costco points check to use before the 31 st. I've been putting it off I know it 🙄. On new years I always make smoked sausage and sauerkraut and of course mashed potatoes, I married my guy who's of German heritage, so. This is a wonderful community here and I love our visits and people's comments. Have a good night dear Ellen
Hi Ellen, I just found your channel and enjoy it. I also live in Olmsted falls. I used to buy more and collect a lot but as I get older I’ve gotten rid of much of it and only keep what I truly love. I know my kids won’t want it and I dont want to burden them with it when I’m gone. We’re all so different and have our own style and way of doing things. 😊
@@Rocco4112 that's great that you also live in Olmsted Falls 😁 I love this little town. I've lived here for 22 years now. I'm constantly getting rid of things too but it's a constant process. Sometimes my kids will ask me if I have this or that and if I do I give it to them, but they don't want most of what I have so it goes to charity. It all works out ok.
i find that spending money is all about figuring out what I need vs want. Some times I get what I want but I always budget for what I need. Thank you for sharing, so sorry to hear about you fur baby. Maura
Hi Ellen, i think that there is a happy medium between it all. There are things that are needed and there are things that are for wants. As long as things are taken care of then I believe it is okay to have the extra and if people take it to the extreme then to me that is something they need to deal with and not to judge because Jesus said I came that they may have life and have it more abundantly and to each one that is bewteen them and the Lord. I am always wanting something but I have everything I need so if it is extra I get then yes I am going to get it. Thank you for sharing God bless stay safe and love yall. ( John 10:10 )

I think life experiences contribute to people’s relationship with money. I was married young, had children young, my husband was the major provider and due to the economy he would get laid off from a very good job several times and would have to take a lesser paying job. Eventually he would never get laid off and took many promotions. I remember clearly how hard it was to not have enough money. I said that would never happen again so I saved and saved. I have money, but I only have so much space and so much energy the older I get. I don’t want to have anymore than I can handle and when it gets like that I quit buying things and start purging. Whenever I buy things, things get donated. I think everyone has their own tolerance for how much stuff is too much.
