I'm 74 and a 9 hdcp from the golds. I'm loosing distance every month it seems like. Though subtitle. Have never seen so many ad's for longer drivers for seniors than now. Of course the baby boomers are in their 70's and are easy click bait. The USGA ought to take a bold move and make drivers .88 COR for seniors 70 and over.

i had my driver shaved by Worlds Hottest Driver. my experience was that shaving traded sweet spot distance for non-sweet spot forgiveness. i went back to non-shaved driver.

Kinda sad Chris not producing vids on weekly basis. Good educational contents and also highlighting lesser known Japanese brands like PRGR which to me has so much leading edge and tech. I am still gaming my PRGR Nabla Black irons, Nabla Tour wedges n also a RS5 7 wood 21 deg in my set up.
Too bad dont see any more vids from this channel, last one is so many months ago

Thanks for sharing these insights. I'm choosing between a Ryoma vs a Hi cor non conforming driver. Which would you recommend? I am after distance :)

This is very good, let's have more conforming gears from Japanese boutique brands which have better material and quality.

?? as the video mentions 98% of the woods in Japan are already conforming.

@@Tourspecgolf Agreed. The thing is that many of these boutique brands have not submitted samples to R&A or USGA for testing. This may cause unnecessary "attention" in tournaments. For example, in recent iron and wedge set fitting for my early teen junior (who has been competing internationally), we needed to choose Mizuno instead of our original preference Baldo's new 568 T1 irons and new wedges in order to be "safe" - although Baldo does indicate that the grooves are conforming. Baldo's drivers, however, can be found in USGA conforming list. Then again, not too many tournament players, especially juniors, use such boutique brands anyway. Shame, because they are really better built! Cost is higher, but way better club, too.

A few things, “safe” and “attention” has nothing to do with conforming or not. There are irons and wedges used on the PGA Tour that are not on R&A/USGA list. I also wouldn’t say Baldo is made better than USDM club. Actually in my opinion Baldo is inferior to most big box brands like TM, Cally, Titliest. Baldo does have better wood face materials in some cases. I think the choice to go Mizuno was a good one.
