I did everything, except for the power supply reading (don't have a reader), and now it runs like it is brand new! Thank you for sharing all these tips. I did it all by myself, no hubby needed! LOL.
I only have a Healthrider h95e Elliptical. The problem is I try lubricating all the elliptical parts squeaking. However, the problem is I cannot lubricate the handlebar moving joints because the plastic covers are a frustrating problem no matter how hard I try to lubricate those hard to reach areas.
I just got the octane 35 and it has some minor surface rust. It’s an older model.. do you think it would be best to spray cleaner and use a scoring pad? It feels a bit “gritty” when using the machine .. I wish it a bit more fluid if that makes sense?? Any help would be appreciated!!!!
I just got an old 37, it had surface rust which can come off by using any turtle wax chrome polishes I believe or in my case Harpic / Toilet cleaner comes in handy too, just a little goes a long way. I’m yet to open it up to clean / lubricate it from inside which seems like an important step to keep these machines feel like new.
my elliptical (Octane Fitness 3500XL) at home started to make an evil smell that seems to me like some kind of plastic or rubber, that wasn't there before. The machine hasn't had maintenance in a while (like 3-4 years). Any idea if it is more likely the brake pad, or some other part in particular? I have quit using the machine and I took off the covers but I'm not sure what to try after that. Whatever it is, it's not extremely strong, but I think it gets worse if I use the machine, and I think it builds up under the covers and then it seems kind of strong when I get a whiff of it. If I use the machine it seems like I can smell it for some time afterwards, like a week or two. Any idea where I would get parts for it? The company wants me to hire professional maintenance people but I am sure it will cost more than I think I have for it.
Kevin Leeds that is definitely different. There is not much to make the machine smell. If I had to guess (and I mean a total shot in the dark) I might look at the drive belt. That might rubbing, out of track, tension pulley set to hard. Other then that, I am not sure what else would be making that smell. There is no motor in it like a treadmill. Good luck.
Hi Kevin. If you are concerned about the parts needed to replace. I would suggest contacting www.partsfortreadmill.com assistance. You can sent a request to sales@partsfortreadmill.com.

Tiny Moore I am sorry but I’m not near the machine right now at this time. I can say that in the past I have removed the big part and it is nothing more than screws there’s definitely no secret thing that you need to do or unclip them on order to make a come off. The only thing I can possibly think of is that you are missing a screw somewhere. The other cabs that connect to the arms do you clip on and off those you just have to manually pull. They pop off. They are circle caps.

That is great to hear! Please let us know if there are any other tips that could help you.
I’m so happy with myself :). Nice job
Would love to see one done on a lifefitness 9500hr, but I got
Some good tips on how to tackle with my specific model from this video so thank you.
What grease to buy for the wheels?
This bike was delivered quick and doesn’t take up too much room in my home. It is comparable to Peletin. It’s great.
Should I treat the metal ramps that the wheels roll on with anything?
Do you need the grease. Or will the teflon lubricant be ok for any places that need lubing. Cheers
Thanks for making this video.

what is simple green? What you used to clean the track
Hello,
Just replaced the servo motor on my Q37ci, but resistance seems very heavy, even at level one. Any idea whar went wrong?
So, where can I find an elliptical belt if all I can go by are the belt dimensions?
My octane has really bad rust in those rails where the pedals roll on it any idea how to clean that off and prevent it?
Which rail wheel is that? The q35 wheels that I find online are different from this one.

Sheila Green I am sorry but not familiar with that model.

Simple green? Can somebody enlighten me on what is "simple green"?
its a common cleaner that is sold in many US stores. Its strong enough to clean the product but doesn't harm the plastics.
White lithium grease.
How to open the plastic cover you didn't show that part
Tiny Moore if you mean the top one, there are 2 screws in the top near the top last. Remove the rubber gasket and the screws are under that.
Fitness Central
What do you do after removing the screws. Lift up or pull; it won’t budge for me.?
Erica Jade you kind of slide it forward. It should be loose. Make sure you have all the screws out. There are 4.
I was talking about the big round plastic

I did all that, still squeaks like a stuck pig.
