I only have a Healthrider h95e Elliptical. The problem is I try lubricating all the elliptical parts squeaking. However, the problem is I cannot lubricate the handlebar moving joints because the plastic covers are a frustrating problem no matter how hard I try to lubricate those hard to reach areas.

is that the amount of resistance it SHOULD have? or is the amount of resistance you put on there considered high

Right, but what position/ level of resistance is your machine in prior to replacing the servo? If it at the highest level of resistance and if you position the cable the way you have it, the torque is going to strip out the plastic gears of the servo. I know because I did it. It would be helpful if you could should the position of the plastic brake cable positioning at the other end of the cable from the servo. I'm sure there's an orientation opportunity at the other end. All the manual states is the brass nipple at the other end of the brake cable needs to be pushed into the mount/ plastic. I did that but as mentioned, because I didn't orient the servo end correctly/ ensure I was at LOWEST resistance, I stripped the servo gears. Thanks for posting, regardless!

  • @sarahm4909

It also depends upon the weight of the rider. I am only around 110lbs, so I can ride a much lower pressure than my much heavier (and now ex) boyfriend used to be able to. If he tried riding my bike, the back tyre would be completely flat, where it was fine for me.

Thank you for posting this instructional video. I didn't want to open the brake flywheel for fear of having springs flying everywhere. Your video gives me confidence to dive in! My problem is resistance at Level 1. I have replaced the brake cable and lubed all joints. It runs quietly, but didn't fix the problem described. The only part left is to open the brake flywheel and inspect and repair. It's gotta be this because everything else is running perfectly. BTW, after inspecting all of the parts, this is a quality built machine.

My Octane q37xi loses power to the screen if I take the resistance level up much higher than 5. The brake holds its last position until you turn the power back on and it will reset back to 1, however I am unable to make any further manual changes to the resistance (or the auto adjusting workout program I'm doing can't make adjustments) while there is no power to the LED screen. Could this blue resistance gear motor be the source of my issue since I've repeatedly noticed that turning the resistance up enough will cause the issue every time? I can run at level 5 for 45 minutes, but if I go to level 15 it will lose power as soon as that motor makes the full adjustment and I begin to pedal.

Hi friend. Today April 2021, I found a retailer that is selling me the 2017 Trek Domane SL (Ring Brakes) with ultegra for $ 1,300. Apparently the bike is in good condition. What do you think ? Should I buy this bike? I currently have a 2019 Trek Domane AL2. I was thinking of trading it in as part of payment. Thank you for your answer, I will appreciate it very much.
