I like how each song is so different. This one is old school melodeath, Storm is really intense and dark but in a different way than Eternal Darkness, The Way of the Fire is like a cross between Starchild and Sons of Winter and Stars. Silver Leaves is just something completely different
I think the real "problem" is that we all hear Time II in different devices, and Jari, had his own experience with its own equipment, which I believe was way too pro. I dont think he didnt notice the low volumes, etc. As much as we did... But it was too much material in just one song to handle! So he did his best and, as usual, gave us this option for us to use. Besides many versions. I think this is the first time I witness such an incredible release and production, its, for me, like the future of music and todays software and even hardware were not ready to handle all of that normally. Its something new!
I agree that we hear it different from diverse devices, but that's the problem, mixing goal should be to achive a consistent listening experience across vastly different devices, he definetely did this part not at his best (and that's weird because Time 1 and Forest Season didn't have this issue, and they weren't that different production wise). Also also, I can assure you that modern day hardware and softwares can very easily handle Time 2 productions, Fleshgod, Lorna to name a few all have very dense productions like this, its nothing new. I think the biggest problem is that Jari just did most of the work by himself in his home studio or the semi professional upgraded one, and I wonder if there's some tuning or work to do on his listenig environment there (but only he know this), works like this are still tough to do by the mixing engineer
i kinda felt the original album a bit saturated, so many layers just feel overstimulating, without order, and mostly the drums were too much! thanks for this! have you changed anything else?
Awesome man! Although I like the way it sounds in the original, it doesn't sound quite right when I play it on some speakers and this fixes that. Thanks for uploading it. Any chance you can share some download links for this versions?
As much as he is a great musician, Jari needs to accept he's not a good mixer and hire a professional, like Sonata Arctica going back to their original producer for their new album.
What is the original do you think? The .wav files are amazing if you pre-ordered. Then there's the dynamic 2db well suited if you want a better grasp with a normal headset / sound system.
@@ZonZorZerx My first listen was the wav files, but regardless, it doesn’t matter what quality. The problem with the original is the drums, and here it’s fixed.
@@moocorp4574 Just listen to the dynamic files then. I personally loved the original along with most others, so it's just a matter of taste. With that complex songwriting and so much layering it's impossible to make a mix everyone loves. Impossible. The dynamic files are superior when you're in a noisy environment like a car etc. You get a better grasp on the music.
After waiting over 12 years for the Time II release, and fan remasters still making it sound better than what Wintersun put out, I can't help but be disappointed. That being said- no disappointment in the new album from Fleshgod Apocalypse after waiting 8 years for that one. Absolutely phenomenal album. It helps dim the lack felt from Time II 😅
Think this is the best song of the album 😍
I prefer Storm, but this one has some very tasty solos
I think the last chorus is the most beautiful moment in the whole album
@@AlejandroRasmussen7 it really feels like a magic chant of a winter forest
The chorus is so good!

your edits are precisely what I needed for my headphones. You made it sound perfect for what I needed. Thank you!
The vocals sound so much better and not drowned out, well done.
These changes were exactly what I wanted, thank you!
Any chance you show how many dB you reduced drum track.. and other tracks?
Thank you friend

The original mix is better, but this is good as well.

People need to buy some quality headphones
Thanks for posting this! Any chance you will do something sinilsr with the rest of the album?
Yes I actually did that, just check on my channel for the other songs (except the interlude, that wasn't in the isolated tracks)
@@Pippus4 awesome! Thanks!
This sounds way way better than the original
Thanks!

@@ZonZorZerx most reviews I have seen hate the drums and believe the vocals are too low
